Beautiful property. We were greeted by a family of 8 elk walking within 30 feet of us, and the stay lived up to the start. Loved it!
My only concern about the property is the driveway—if it had been snowy or rainy I’m not sure that’s the most accessible way up.
We came up for 2 nights for a little breather- Stonehaven is Amazing! The house was perfect for our family of four- Clean, nice furniture and eveything we needed. The only slight issue would be is that both beds upstairs are in need of new mattresses. One side of each one sinks into a deep hole. Other than that, everything was perfect! Bull elk in the yard each evening! Amazing!
the yard each evening! AMAZING! tthboth
Sweet stone house in an old pine neighborhood. Great beds. Nice hot tub. Walkable to everything but quiet, serene location. Elk in the front yard. Lovely place to stay and we would rent here again.
My husband, adult son, and I had a wonderful stay at the Stonehaven home. The house is very spacious and close to everything in Estes Park. There were several deer that came by to hang out in the yard and we very much enjoyed watching them! The house and kitchen were well stocked although we didn't actually do any cooking besides breakfast. Our son really enjoyed the hot tub and there's a fenced in area behind the house which is nice if you are bringing your dog. We would definitely stay at this property again and highly recommend it!
Really felt like we got away, yet we were two minutes from town by car. The house is historic. Exterior rock is amazing. Enclosed back yard was good for dogs. Overall very pleased. Felt almost more like a cabin in some ways. Network was solid.
Family and friend stayed at Stonehaven. The property was at an ideal location. Estes park, RMNP, snowshoeing, skiing, horses and pretty much anything else you might want to do outside in the mountains. Hot tub was a great way to end the day. Loved our stay here!
Very clean and spacious. We enjoyed every minute and hated to leave. The elk entertained us in our very own yard and played in the water across from us. The hot tub was wonderful! Couldn’t have asked for more! Hope we get to come back someday!!
Cabin feel. Very clean. Elk and mule deer right in the yard. Had a little trouble grilling steaks. Wished the grill would have heated up better, but overall we love this place. Hope to get back someday!
The property was in a great location in relation to the town. We had a bear that was on the property during our stay and gave us hours of entertainment, mostly prowling the neighbors yard but in full view of our house. Our location was sparse on kitchen utensils, had a few pots but not much in the way of skillets, many of the dishes were chipped, most of the lamps didn't work, the window shades need updated and the driveway needs work. But don't get me wrong, we enjoyed the stay...because of the bear, water pressure was good and loved the location. Didn't get to enjoy the hot tub much because of the proximity of the bear.

This property was perfect for our family vacation. It had everything we needed with the addition of a hot tub. We loved the convenience of the Stanley Hotel and downtown Estes all being within walking distance.
We rented the Stonehaven house as a base for our daughter’s wedding. Luckily, we ended up with fewer adults staying in the house than was planned. The ceilings are quite low in the basement, and the shower is on the small size, more suitable for kids than adults. We got along fine during our stay, no problems with anything. We enjoyed the hot tub in the evening, as well as watching the elk in the front yard. Estes Park is a magical place.
We were a group of Ride the Rockies riders. The location and hot tub worked really well. There are two king bedrooms on the main level and two queen bedrooms on the lower level (this does not match the description on VRBO). Main level bedrooms share a bathroom. Downstairs bathroom is quite long and narrow in one bedroom. Kitchen is need of more plates, bowls, a toaster, and a lot of other kitchen stuff. It does have two coffee makers and a crockpot. Hot tub is really nice!
We were please to discover two separate bedrooms downstairs with Queen size beds. The living room, dining room and kitchen were all larger than the photos revealed. The kitchen was a bit sparse of items like serving bowls, dishes, spices and food storage containers.
The blinds in the dining room were dated and the view of the neighbors junkyard disappointing from the kitchen window. There was not any guide book for the house and we had to ask maintenance about starting a fire and if there was a flue to open. They responded quickly to that and other matters we had like the electric heaters tripping a breaker .We loved the location of this property and walked into town easily. Large newer Hot Tub which held 6 adults and a child was super fun. The day we left a gorgeous buck Elk showed up in the front yard.
Property was clean but smelled musty. Needs a good airing out. Really just a two bed one bath. The basement area was old, dirty and the bathroom was a small space.
Would I rent again. No . But, the couch was comfortable and so were the beds. Not good for kids. Rock walls outside the house have loose rocks.
We were so happy to find Stonehaven!! Great house in a wonderful location - remote enough for privacy yet close to town, RMNP/other sites. House was clean and very comfortable. We were lucky enough to observe wildlife (deer and elk) on the property. We had a couple questions for management which were answered promptly. The hot tub was a nice bonus and was well kept/super clean. We definitely recommend this property and hope to stay at Stonehaven again in the future.
Perfect cabin to house up to 8 and gather more people for a quiet memorial gathering. Enjoyed the good kitchen, barbeque, and adequate utinsels provided for food prep.
Great location and comfortable house with nice furnishings. Management very responsive for a few items we wanted. Only negative is lack of outside gathering area
