About this property
Off the Grid -Alaska -Fly In!- sleeps 6
Imagine hearing the winsome yet eerie song of the common loon calling their mate as the sun sets over a pristine, undisturbed lake deep in the Alaska Wilderness.
Property is situated near the southwest corner of Denali Park and Preserve snuggled within the Western Alaskan Range, this unique experience is only a click or a call away.
If you are curious about Alaska and want to get to know our wildlife, the Lodge is in a secluded area where only the sounds of moving water and nature can be heard, you won’t wake up to your neighbor running a lawn mower or vehicles tearing up the tarmac. There’s no tarmac within a country mile.
You may see:
moose, lynx, marten, mink, fox, otter, beaver, bear, ermine, wolf and
birds -a plethora
"Spirit of the Wilderness" is the phrase used to describe Loons in Alaska, where we have all 5 species, the common, yellow-billed, red-throat, pacific and arctic. Loons are naturally attracted to undisturbed lakes, untouched by man.
We invite you to join us for either a self guided stay or a guided stay that would include hikes and excursions. You have Lake access and we provide you with a small skiff which will allow you to explore Skeeter Lake. More photo opportunities than you can shake a stick at and fishing nearby.
Sit around the campfire at night, lose track of time as the setting sun slowly moves across the sky.
Please note, this is a Fly-n experience. For two people round trip the cost is $ 1200.00 for 4 People it is $ 2800. We can handle your booking for you with local airlines, in fact, the flight out to the Lodge is unbelievable too!

About the host
Your host

My name is Mike I’m the owner of, Hidden Alaska Lodge and I would like to welcome you to the place I call home.
I started guiding in 1974, and worked my way up through the ranks to the status of Master Guide, where I hold license #M-80. Along the way I’ve been a trapper, a homesteader, a horse packer, and a river rafter. I am a Commercial Instrument Multi-Engine pilot, and in my former career as an Alaska Fish and Wildlife Officer, I even became a certified commercial diver. I own a lodge and several cabins and outbuildings, which I built with logs I felled on a remote parcel of land deep in the Western Alaska Range. I spend a good deal of the summer months out at the lodge, making improvements and generally keeping the place in good shape for our many guests. If anyone knows Alaska, I feel like I do.
