Summary:
Welcome to our cabin in Cascade, Colorado. Here, you’re settled in a small mountain town on the side of the hill, just minutes from Pikes Peak. You can explore all the Colorado Springs area has to offer, then head back to a cozy cabin for games, great meals and a relaxing time with family and friends. And don’t forget about your four-legged friends! This is a pet friendly home with a fenced in yard for your pups to enjoy. This 3 bed, 1.5 bath sleeps 7 people.
COVID-19 UPDATE: Per state and local mandate, no more than 10 people are allowed at one time from no more than 2 households.
The Space:
The house has everything you need to make yourselves at home. With a fully stocked kitchen and large dining table, you can cook and eat in every night if you wish. There are three bedrooms: the first is the master with a queen bed on the main floor; the second bedroom on the main floor has a twin bed (this bedroom also houses the stacked washer and dryer); the the third sleeping area is upstairs with 2 sets of twin bunk beds. There is parking for several vehicles in the driveway (please note, the driveway is sloped, there is no garage).
Guest Access:
Guests will have access to the entire house, yard, driveway, etc. I don't live on site, but if you need anything, just call. I can help over the phone, or in person if needed.
The Neighborhood:
Cascade is located in the Ute Pass between Colorado Springs and the higher elevation mountain towns like Woodland Park. It's truly the perfect location. Colorado Springs attractions, shops and nightlife are a short drive to the east and Pikes Peak, national forests and amazing fishing, hiking and biking are to the west. Make sure to drive through Green Mountain Falls (just minutes away) for restaurants like Duckies or The Pantry for great food.
Getting Around:
You will want your own vehicle. This is a mountain town, so roads are steep. The drive to the house will be paved, but not all roads in Cascade or the area are. 4-Wheel Drive is recommended, though not required to get there. In the winter, driving can be difficult without 4WD or chains for your tires.
Other Things to Note:
Heat only, no A/C.
Limited cell service.
Interaction with Guests:
I'm available anytime. If you have questions, want recommendations or need anything during your stay, please let me know.
