Cottage on the Lake!!
Northern Bruce Peninsula Short Term Accommodation Class A/B permit #NBP-2021-557
Welcome to our beautifully restored waterfront cottage on scenic Lake Huron. Enjoy a clear view of the crystal blue waters of Warner Bay from the living room, or the huge second story deck. The original cottage was built in the 1970s and we were lucky to purchase it in 2009 from the first owners. In 2018 we made the leap into a full renovation to expand the capacity and make it super family friendly. We tastefully finished the interior with natural wood trim, solid wood doors, and ample natural light. You can relax in the same comfort of a modern home with the upgraded electrical, water filtration system, new plumbing, clean and modern bathrooms, and safety with CO and smoke alarms per modern building codes. This place has the charm of a waterfront cottage, but the peace of mind of a brand new home. On calm days the bay is amazing for canoeing, kayaking, paddle-boarding and swimming. The shoreline is rocky and does require some attention until you reach the smoother part of the lakebed. It’s shallow for quite a while and the clarity is stunning on calm days. Some type of water shoe or sandal is recommended. Enjoy an open fire by the shore or relax on the deck and listen to the water lapping against the rocks. Tobermory is less than 10 minutes by car and close enough to cycle for those wanting some exercise.
*** Occupancy Limits ***
Due to the Municipal Short-Term Accommodations (STA) bylaw we are limited to a maximum of 10 guests sleeping at the cottage. This limit further states that the 9th and 10th guests must be children aged 12 years or younger. We have beds for 6 adults and 4 children/youth (bunk beds). Therefore we can have up to 6 adults (18 years or older) + 2 youth (under 18yrs) + 2 children (12yrs or under).
We apologize for the complexity of the guest limits, and encourage you to seek more information on the bylaw from the Municipality of Northern Bruce Peninsula.

*** Bruce Peninsula National Park ***
Reservations for park visits are required to ensure that when you arrive there is parking available. The Bruce Peninsula National park, the wider peninsula ecosystems, and the town of Tobermory are unique with very constrained spaces, and can be quickly overwhelmed by the number of excited visitors in the summer. We kindly ask that you remain aware of, and respect the local bylaws and restrictions designed to limit the impact to the natural areas. Please make the utmost effort to leave no trace of garbage or recycling, leave any areas you visit as you found them, respect the wildlife, wilderness, and respect locals and other visitors. We can all enjoy the peninsula together and show the locals how grateful we are of their stewardship and hospitality.
*** Cleaning and Linens/Towels ***
Our cottage is professionally cleaned and disinfected thoroughly between guests. Linens and bath towels can be request for an added laundering fee. You will be required to bring all bedding and towels for your stay if you DO NOT request linens at the time of your booking.
Check-in is always 4pm, check-out is always 11am. Our cleaners need as much time as possible to properly turn over the cottage between guests.
Thank you for checking out our rental!! If you have any questions before booking please send us an inquiry and we'll answer ASAP.
We hope you will book and have a beautiful stay on the incredible Bruce Peninsula.
