Perfect stay in Milan

Amazing stay in Milan. Just what we were looking for. Walking distance to Duomo, plenty of shopping nearby. Great coffee at Atipico just downstairs. Not too far to the metro as well. We would stay here again. Very clean too!

Overall good, with opportunities for improvement

We stayed with some friends at the Penthouse in Milan recently. I'll start with the good - the location is outstanding. A quick 12 minute walk to the Duomo metro station, along with many street cars make access easy. It's in the bustle of the neighborhood with many shops and restaurants close, but at night it was not too loud and it was easy to sleep. The place is nice, and good for at least 4 people. If there will be more people, it will depend on the weather since the penthouse gets really hot when it's sunny outside. Now the areas for improvement - the check in process was not good. It was outsourced to another company and the guy didn't know what he was doing. Twice he got the wrong key and our 3pm check in time turned into 7pm with much waiting in the stairwell and walking around. Also, in comparison with the other apartment we rented in Florence (we got some basic cooking supplies, a bottle of wine, coffee), this one was a bit more sparsely stocked. Other than salt, pepper, oil, and three decaf coffee pods, we needed to buy everything else (which was more difficult given the check in process). Finally, it was great having a clothes washer, but the dryer didn't work great.

Amazing Rooftop

Property was well situated near Duomo and had grocery store, coffee cafes, and numerous restaurants nearby. We particularly liked Pane and Vino in our building. The rooms were comfortable and although the great location meant more noise, it was doable. Lots of trolleys, so may not be best for those needing quiet. The best part was the rooftop. Set up in 3 distinct parts: a small garden and 2 person cafe table/chairs uncovered, a glass enclosed space protecting from the elements with a couch, easy chair, even a keyboard, and a much larger area with views and 2 outdoor couches and a large outdoor table and chairs, also with lots of plants and some shaded areas. The glass area can be opened up to connect all of it on nice days. It rained our first 2 days and it was great sitting up there listening to the rain and reading. We spent much of our time in the apartment up there when not sleeping.

Great location

A clean and spacious apartment for touring Milan. Walking distance to most major attractions and very convenient to food shops. We enjoy cooking some of our meals, and this apartment had a small, but good kitchen for a holiday let. Communication was excellent with property managers and very responsive.

Great location and responsive hosts

Great location in the city! Walkable to everything, food and coffee are close as well as local transport. Two metro lines are right outside the house which we loved but be aware if sound sensitive sleeper. Spacious apt, nice building, having a lift very helpful. We didn't use the terrace at all it was about 10+ degrees warmer and not usable during our stay. AC in all the rooms really made a difference and was much appreciated. Check-in was easy and host informed us on all aspects of house, including if power outage which was very helpful as we had a major storm that took power out briefly. We were so glad he showed us what to do. Washer and dryer work great. Beds very comfortable and nice to have the flexibility to make the king two twins.

Comfortable Stay in Milan

The apartment was a great base to explore Milan. The bedrooms with balconies were wonderful and very comfortable. Washing facilities were helpful. Only comment was the rooftop terrace was too hot to enjoy, which was a shame as it is beautiful and so big! But with no air conditioning it was very hot up there. Overall an excellent experience. The building’s superintendent was very friendly and helpful. Always nice to have a local to give advice. With great restaurants on the same street, it was a good choice for our family. Thank you!

Staying in Milan for a congress

1 week stay in Milan for a congress with a few days off to enjoy the city. I rented this apartment with my 2 boys. We had an unforgettable stay. The apartment is clean and well maintained and very well located less than 15 minutes walk from the Duomo. The rooftop terrace is a great place to enjoy a meal or a glass of wine at the end of the day. I really appreciated the communication with the rental manager. Nico and Vanessa were always very available to answer our questions before and during our stay, always responding to our emails or texts within a few hours. We had a very warm welcome from the staff. Our flight arrived early in Milan and they made sure that the accommodation was ready as soon as possible. They were also very accommodating in allowing us to stay an extra night when we found out our return flight was delayed until the next day. Many thanks to all the staff. Comfortable apartment with bonus rooftop sunroom.

Week in Milan

We had a wonderful stay. Great communication and the building manager was friendly and helpful. The location was perfect. We could walk to all the sites and the great restaurants near the canal. Would definitely recommend!

Chic apartment in convenient location

The apartment was great, very clean and chic. Location convenient and property manager very communicative. Incredible closet space. Roof terrace lovely feature. My only comment would be the mattresses are a little hard, but that might be great for some people. Overall great property.

Sauber, großzügig, zentral - und: Dachterrasse!!!

Die Wohnung liegt im 5. Stock eines Mehrfamilienhauses; zu ihr gehört der großzügige Wintergarten samt ebenso großzügiger Dachterrasse einen Stock darüber. Mit einem Kollegen habe ich sieben Nächte hier gewohnt und den Aufenthalt genossen. Folgendes hat uns besonders gut gefallen: + Sehr gute Kommunikation mit dem Vermieter; sowohl der Check-In als auch die Erfüllung von Bitten unsererseits verlief zuverlässig, zügig und unkompliziert. + Saubere Wohnung mit zwei ähnlich großen Schlafzimmern, einem zentralen Wohn-Ess-Bereich, schallisolierten Fenstern (ein großes Plus angesichts der Lage mitten in der belebten Innenstadt!) und - wie bereits geschrieben - einer grandiosen Dachterrasse. Den Wintergarten haben wir wetterbedingt (Hochsommer!) nicht genutzt, aber wir können uns vorstellen, dass dieser gerade im Frühling und Herbst ein besonders angenehmer Ort ist. Wir hielten uns meist auf der Dachterrasse auf, die reichlich Schatten vor der Sommerhitze bietet und auch angenehm begrünt ist. + Zentrale Lage in Mailand: in wenigen Minuten ist der Dom zu Fuß erreichbar, ebenso viele andere Sehenswürdigkeiten der Innenstadt. Da wir mit dem Auto anreisten, waren wir für Hinweise hinsichtlich Zufahrts-Modalitäten und Parkmöglichkeiten sehr dankbar, die uns der Vermieter vorab zur Verfügung stellte. Wenn ich einen Verbesserungsvorschlag machen darf, rege ich an, die Funktionsfähigkeit von Lampen (da waren einige defekt) und Fensterflügeln (einer im Bad ließ sich überhaupt nicht, einer neben der Küche nur nach langem Herumprobieren) regelmäßiger zu überprüfen. Aber diese Kleinigkeiten hindern mich nicht daran, die volle Punktzahl zu geben und die Ferienwohnung uneingeschränkt zu empfehlen.

Wonderful access to Milan

We love to walk and this apt was a great location from which we could explore Milan. Our hostess was very helpful in getting us started and seeing us off. The upper floor was a very comfortable place to sit and enjoy some evening breezes.

Milan visit

This apartment is located very close to the main sites in Milan. It is perfect for a couple or family. The bedrooms are spacious with plenty of storage. The kitchen is well stocked with a dishwasher. The bathroom is perfectly functional. The only negative thing I can say about this apartment is that the knives could be sharper. I would have no problem recommending this apartment to friends who are visiting Milan.
