This was like no other rental that we have ever done ! Location is incredible , house has everything: well stocked kitchen , BBQ , garden , hummingbirds, large property to explore and even the dogs that our kids loved !
Hosts offer guided trips and we were taken on a hike to Monica Meadows: so beautiful !!!
We highly recommmend this place !
This secluded property offers everything we want for a vacation rental. From the beautiful view at the front to all the hiking trails starting from the back yard one doesn’t need to leave the property for your entire stay. The pool, hot tub, pond and garden are icing on the cake. When you enter the property one knows they have entered a BC version of Shangri-La. Our hope is to make this an annual family trip.
Namaste
From the moment our group of 5 girlfriends, all in our 'mature' years, arrived, to the moment we had to leave, we were truly all had the most amazing experience. From the unbelievable views, both from the house and the cliff at the end of our exhilarating hike, to the star gazing from deck and hot tub we remained in a state of awe. Noemi blessed us with an outstanding and moving meditation experience with the crystal bowls paired so effortlessly with her voice...some of us moved to tears! Robyn and Glen we are so thankful that you shared what you have created together with us and others. We are booking now for next year...but for longer...we all left wanting more time!!
Beautiful property. Truly a hidden gem. Glen & Robyn are great hosts.
Location is incredible to connect with nature, relax, and "disconnect" from the noise of the world.
It is also nice to have the pool, hot tub and sauna to treat ourselves :-)
Our boys and our dog also had a great time hanging out and playing with Kibou. What am impressive dog!
Thanks Glen and Robyn!
Robyn and Glen have the perfect vacation spot. There are stunning views of kootney lake, the duncan river and selkirk mountain. They have a wonderful abundant garden that you are welcome to enjoy. We had the most relaxing time in the hottub and pool . There were many lawn games to play as well as indoor games, multiple movies and CD's to listen to. My granddaughter enjoyed playing endlessly on the beautiful grounds with her new fur friends Kibau and Cricket !! Worth every moment. Thank You so much Robyn and Glen for sharing your home, we would definitely return to Argenta .

Very nice location, amenities and hosts, fully enjoyed our stay
We stayed at the property for a week at the end of March. A very pleasant experience - nice house (can sleep 6), beautiful location (overlooking lake, river and in the mountains), hot tub, fire pit, barbecue, nice collection of movies and videos, and games. Glenn and Robyn are nice hosts as well, very accessible when needed, our special thanks for the outings to Duncan lake and hide and seek games with Kibou (kids loved it - our best wishes on her exams to qualify as a rescue dog)!! Take care.
Quite the drive coming down from Revelstoke (ferry +narrow, gravel, windy road along Trout Lake) however well worth the drive!
Beautiful view, property, gardens, hummingbirds, cabin! And the kiddos loved the solar heated pool and hot tub!
Thanks for the lovely stay!
What a perfect place to get away and still practice physical distancing
Wow, this place was the perfect spot for the exact vacation we were looking for. If you want to get away from the hustle and craziness of the city and go to a place where you put down your phone before breakfast and don't pick it up again until bedtime, this is that place.
The views are breathtaking, the pool and hot tub are perfect for relaxing and to escape the weather and mosquitoes. And for when you want to sleep in or just enjoy, the quiet of this location is amazing.
Robyn and Glen are the perfect hosts (there when you need something and absent when you don't).
Highly recommend this place except don't book it for when I want to go back next. :-)
Our family of four enjoyed a week at this magical property. Glen and Robyn were fantastic hosts, always available if you needed them, otherwise gave you the run of their property and privacy. If you are looking for seclusion, adventure and relaxation all in one, this is the place. We enjoyed hikes on the property, lounging and playing in the pool and hot tub, fishing, and days by Kootenay Lake. This property is off the beaten track, which is exactly what we needed, and a fun adventure to travel to with beautiful scenery and ferry rides.
Our family had a wonderful stay at this beautiful cabin/house. This place sold us on photos, but it is even better when you see it! The scenery was so beautiful, imagine sitting on a deck and watching 70 hummingbirds! This place is perfect for a family - our kids enjoyed playing in a pool or going for a bike ride. Thank you Robin and Glen - we will be back! Daniela and Rick
This is a wonderful place to stay. The pictures don't do justice to how sweet this house is, and the amazing views all around. The hosts are amazing, and were so welcoming. My husband and I were celebrating our wedding, and we were greeted by the most thoughtful welcome package. There is ample space in the house, and the kitchen is equipped with everything you could need. The hottub looks out over the lake, and will instantly melt all of your troubles away. This is a perfect home away from home place to stay.
Our stay at Robyn and Glens was beyond amazing! We were 6 moms looking to get away on a relaxing, peaceful, getaway and this place; their home, exceeded our expectations by far!!
It’s picturesque view of the mountains overlooking the entire valley was breath taking, especially when we could enjoy it from the pool or hot tub. The peace, tranquility and restfulness you come away with is exactly what us gals needed! We had many, many laughs and memorable moments here! Robyn and Glen are a wonderful, easy going, friendly and personable couple that were very accommodating anytime that we needed them!
I would highly recommend their place to anyone and to all walks of life looking to have a memorable enjoyable vacation!
Thank you Robyn and Glen!!
The ‘Moms’ 😄
This property was everything we had hoped for! The whole weekend was so relaxing, Robyn and Glen were super nice and really made us feel welcome. Their house is so beautiful and their property is truly magical, we even saw a deer !
We had an absolutely wonderful stay at this little slice of paradise at the north end of Kootenay Lake. Robyn and Glen are the best, such gracious hosts, and will make sure you have whatever you need to enjoy your stay. The area is an outdoor playground, so many things to do for folks looking for adventure.
This was the second visit this summer, and we're looking forward to another visit next year!
Everything you could ask for has been thought of. Robyn and Glen are friendly, generous, down to earth people who have opened up a part of their lives to share with others. A must have experience that you won't be disappointed with!!!!!
My boyfriend and I had the most AMAZING stay here. The house was spotless and the views were to die for. We never wanted to leave the pool, except to enjoy some of the delicious fresh fruits and vegetables from their garden. We can’t wait to go back and relax again! If you stay here, make sure you enjoy one morning drinking coffee by the waterfall and pond in the back 😌
Perfect house overlooking the Lardeau River and mountains of Meadow Creek. Great kitchen, hot tub/pool area. Ideal home base for doing day trips to Monica Meadows/jumbo and rafting the Lardeau
I will be returning :)
Absolutely amazing!!! Everything it is promised to be and more, and Robyn made us feel right at home. We had 4 adults, one baby and a dog and everyone was fully accommodated and enjoyed themselves immensely. Despite being remote it is easy to find and still close access to a couple of local stores, with Kaslo and the other towns of the Kootenays still reachable by car. Perfect views and just cannot way enough about the place and the warmth of our hosts, we hope to come back numerous times over the years as our daughter grows up!
Thank you Robyn and Glen, what an amazing little piece of paradise you have and thanks so much for sharing!! :)

About the host
Hosted by Robyn Skobalski
We wanted to get out of the city and leave our stressful jobs in the Okanagan behind. So we searched for and found our slice of paradise in the West Kootenay and have never regretted it.
Why they chose this property
We had a list of 20 possible properties that fit the description of what we were looking for and we packed up our truck and spent a weekend checking them all out. This was the last property on our list and we immediately fell in love with it and the area. We returned home at the end of the weekend and on Monday we met with the bank to make an offer. The rest is history!
What makes this property unique
After 25 years we are still discovering new things to do out here. The hiking is endless and the lakes are beautiful. There is so much to explore. We are tucked away in a little corner of B.C. that is undiscovered and special. Over the years we have repeatedly talked about wanting to share what we have with others and finally four years ago we decided to go for it and here we are listed as a vacation rental. We hope our place will inspire others to pursue their dreams.
