The Castle Inn is a beautiful place to stay, as it is close to the beaches and the town. The view from our room was spectacular-we saw gorgeous waves and whales! The room was clean and decorated nicely. *Possibly due to it being fairly new, there are a few kinks to work out: there was only one barstool (not 2 as advertised); wifi was not free; there were enough plates/bowls/glasses for 2 people, 2 pots and pans and a few utensils-we got creative when needing a large bowl for salads, etc. A cutting board would be useful. The refrigerator sits 6 feet from the bed and was LOUD throughout the night. The queen size bed and pillows had a plastic-type cover to them all...not super comfortable to sleep on. What looked like it was supposed to be a closet, a desk had been placed. Aesthetically it looked great, but for practicality purposes, there was no place to hang up clothes or jackets. The room could use a closet and luggage stand. All in all, it is a beautiful place to stay with it's stately decorations, architecture and views.

About the host
Hosted by Darrell McDaniel
Hi,
My name is Darrell McDaniel and I am a Northern California Native. I enjoy the outdoors and natures finest natural resources. My family and I built the Inn so others may experience the same awestruck of which the "Lost Coast" has continued to inspire in our hearts and in our lives for many years beyond our first visit.
Why they chose this property
The beautiful Lost Coast of California endeared us to build here. So we engineered and structured a clean, fortified getaway on the bluffs of the Pacific Ocean--a place where people can come, relax, and enjoy all the tremendous sights nature has to offer.
What makes this property unique
People will be able to enjoy the amazing views of the rugged Pacific Northwest while enjoying a comfortable suite with luxury amenities and royal-style antiques including 100-year-old beds.
