Our condo is in an exceptional location: beach, 180° ocean and beach view, no crowds and no traffic noise. Hop on the bus at the stop right out front, in 15 min you are in Old Town Puerto Vallarta!
So book now before someone else takes the days you want, or to stay a month or two. Let us know if you have questions.
We purchased our unit having ensured all the essentials - friendly English-speaking staff 24/7, elevators, A/C, the sound of the waves... and did I mention the 180° view! The unit is perfect for two but also has a trundle bed that can accommodate two more as well. And did I mention the view!? We think this is one of the best views in all of Puerto Vallarta! It is breathtaking to gaze out across the bay while relaxing on the balcony at any time of day and to enjoy a glass of wine in the evening while watching the sun set.
From the balcony or the ocean-side restaurant near the pool, you can watch diving pelicans, crashing and gently splashing waves and enjoy romantic sunsets. You can swim in the heated pool or at one of the best beaches in Puerto Vallarta, Playa las Gemelas with gated access from Girasol Sur, and regardless of the time of day, there is never any traffic noise. The long sandy beach is ideal for a daytime or evening stroll and despite being a public beach it is never crowded.
If your ideal vacation is “doing nothing” in a gorgeous place with Mexican architecture, Girasol Sur is it. You don’t need to go anywhere. There is a small grocery store off the lobby that has most everything you may need. There are also bakeries, meat and grocery type stores in Old Town, just ask. And a laundromat is available (sign up for a time at the front desk). The kitchenette offers a stove top and convection oven, full size refrigerator, microwave, an electric coffee pot and an electric teakettle.
But if you don’t feel like cooking, the on-site Girasol Sur Restaurant with its panoramic terrace overlooks the ocean and is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner (good food and good prices). People come from surrounding condo buildings to eat here also. If you check on-line, you’ll see that the restaurant has gotten good reviews. Remember to make a reservation at the front desk to ensure a table. Be advised that they only accept cash.
On the other hand, if you want to experience Puerto Vallarta’s fiestas, culture, shops and great food, catch the bus to Old Town where the bus stops on the main street for restaurants, shops and the beach. Catch the bus back at the same place you got off, tell the driver “Girasol sur” and then exit the bus in front of Girasol Sur. Or, if you prefer, take a taxi…or Uber which is also a great way to get to and from the airport (check at the information desk when you arrive.) Uber is about half the cost of a taxi…unless it’s raining, when taking a taxi is a usually a better deal. You can also take the bus south to dine in Mismaloya or Boca, but we haven’t tried that yet.
When looking for a great place to stay on your vacation or winter getaway, consider Girasol Sur...views from balcony, swimming, snorkeling or surfing without traveling anywhere, poolside bar and restaurant, elevators, an easy trip to Old Town by bus or Uber, and no need for a car (though there is ample no charge parking on-site). It is really an idea spot.
What are you waiting for? Let us know if you have questions BUT, make your reservation ASAP before someone else books your dates!
