Princeville paradise

This Princeville unit was roomy and comfortable. It was clean and tidy and had well stocked kitchen ware and equipment cupboards. Our only problem was that we could hear every footstep and chair scrape from the unit above us, along with their voices if they spoke loudly. Luckily they left after a couple of days. Also, we didn’t realise there were two pools, and ended up getting locked in the wrong one!

Great stay

The property is as advertised and was very clean. My family enjoyed the location with amazing views of the mountains, the ocean, and the cliffs. The property was spacious and I can’t wait to return again soon!

Wow! From the first moment this property exceeded our expectations. First off, the setting is incredible. We all agreed that the view from the dining room table was one of the most beautiful we'd ever seen. And Princeville is a gorgeous home base for exploring the north shore of Kauai. The kids loved the two pools and hot tub. Located in a great neighborhood for jogging and there's even a playground close by. Easy access to Hanalei Bay. Minor issue, but the kitchen could be stocked with a few more spices, but otherwise it was perfect for meals at home. Would definitely stay again!

Beautiful Princeville

This condo is spacious and very suitable to 2 couples. No ocean views or ability to walk to beach easily, but a great stay. Some additional info from owner regarding stocking of condo would have been helpful. We needed to provide our own ice (no trays even), shampoo and body wash. This was my first VRBO lacking these. Would have appreciated info so as to avoid a second trip to market on day of our arrival.

Beautiful Princeville!

Our stay at this Princeville retreat was absolutely fantastic. The property is very nicely appointed and the location is out of this world beautiful, nestled near the cliffs of the Pacific on the north side of the Princeville resort community. I would like to add one simple recommendation: Make sure to screenshot or print your documents before arrival. I had no cell phone reception in the area and was finally able to retrieve the actual unit number only after connecting to a hotspot that took 15-20 mins on a different device. The Building #s are also hard to see (needed to flag down another visitor who had the same problem, since the office was closed at check-in time - 4pm) and labeled in a very small font on black lava rocks near the parking lots. Outside of this very small issue, I would love to come back and stay at Alii Kai #2 in the future (I believe is much nicer than Alii Kai #1). The two masters are wonderful and our group of 6 never felt crowded in the space at all! Mahalo!

Very comfortable and stylish with lots of room to spread out, this is a perfect vacation condo. Kitchen had everything we needed. It was easy to get to the grocery. Beds were very comfortable. Loved having a washer and dryer. Other reviews mention noise and yes you can hear other units, but I think that's part of being in a place where everything is open air. It didn't bother us. It felt peaceful without being isolated. And at a great price.

Such a great spot will definitely be back and stay longer. We were in Maui first so this was our shorter part of the trip but we wished we would have booked this for the 8 days instead. It comes fully equipped with everything you would need for the beach! Thanks again for everything!

Turtle Cave resort

The VRBO unit was a great place with views of the Mountains on one side and the ocean on the other. We wish we had booked it for a longer period. Matt was very responsive and check in was fast and easy.

Beautiful condo in Princeville- bottom floor

This condo looks exactly like the photos, it was clean when we arrived and everything was expected. However, the walls in this building are very thin, so we could hear the neighbors upstairs all night long and every morning. This may be the norm for rental properties in Kauai but it’s definitely a bummer when you get woken up by the other residents who are staying above you. For my next visit I will want to stay in a top floor condo to prevent this from happening. The people staying above us had kids and sounded like a fairly large family. Perhaps if there was another adult couple staying in the unit above, we would not have been woken up every night and each morning. If there are only two people staying above you versus a whole family it may be more quiet. But you cannot control who else is staying in the building at the same time as you, so for me, I will just reserve a top floor apartment next time. Thanks to the host for keeping and maintaining a clean, beautiful condo for guests.

Home away from home

This property was just as described in the advertisement. We stayed here with our 3 children and settled in for 2 weeks. It felt like home to us! Comfortable, clean, and had everything youd need in the kitchen! The property was well kept, felt safe and was beautiful. Very impressed with this rental and would stay again for sure. Matt was excellent to communicate with as well.

Lovely stay!!

Our stay was lovely. We love the Princeville and Hanalei area for the beaches, shopping and good food. The weather could have been a little nicer (quite a bit of rain this week), but not anything to stop you from having a good time. Thank you for sharing your lovely place with us.

Amazing!!

We loved this condo and the area. The Mountain View’s were gorgeous and there was a lookout from the cliffs just a short walk away. Matt, the host was awesome letting us know when to avoid traffic and being available by text as soon as we had arrived on the island. The unit itself has super comfy beds and two masters which we loved. The shed closet is well stocked with beach chairs, bikes, snorkel gear, beach toys and umbrellas. Really above and beyond! I think the pictures don’t do this unit Justice. We would absolutely stay here again.

Matt was the best we’ve ever worked with. His property is amazing, spacious, and beautiful. We wish we had more time and could have enjoyed it more, but next time we’re back in Kauai, we will definitely stay here again. The property was incredible, but again, Matt the owner was that much more incredible with his accommodations for us.

Great Stay at Alii-kai Condo at Princeville

This was a very comfortable and nicely designed two-bedroom condo for our family vacation. Great views of mountains and north shore. Kids really enjoyed the pool. Easy access to food store and restaurants at Princeville. Highly recommended.

Sweet honeymoon spot, but a bit noisy

This apartment was beautiful and a nice crash pad for my husband and I on our honeymoon. Stayed pretty cool despite no AC and the king size bed was luxurious and comfy! My one critique is the noise level. It's an old building with thin walls and the windows are vented open all the time. We could here the family above us quite clearly as well as anyone who walked by on the path. Other than that, we enjoyed our stay! Very close to lots of things to see and do in the North.

Home Away From Home

Everything needed was inside the condo. We really appreciated being able to go into the kitchen and finding any cooking item that we needed. The pool was near and easily accessible. What we really appreciated most was the pre-arrival recommendation from the manager to shop groceries prior to driving more than an hour! Without hesitation, We would gladly rent this condo again!!
