It's easy. Read all of the other reviews. This is a jewel of a place and very good for a spot away but close to everything. Will absolutely stay again!
We loved our time at this beautiful home on the lake.
The furniture was comfortable and there are ample supplies in the bathrooms and kitchen and laundry room-more than most rentals usually provide. In our opinion the best spot is the screen porch with views of the lake and the abundant wildlife.
The little lakehouse is an amazing place to get away. Super quiet, with an amazing view out the back windows or from the back porch. Being right on old hickory for fishing or canoeing made it the perfect family vacation. The beds were extremely comfortable, well stocked kitchen, and hosts that were super communicative. Best VRBO stay I have had!
My husband and I rented this house for a long weekend to host family while celebrating my son’s 39th birthday. It was absolutely perfect. The property looks exactly like the photos and was extremely clean. We will definitely rent it again.
This property is exactly as listed. There is a beautiful view of the lake. The house was very clean and modern. Owners were quick to respond and very helpful. We would definitely recommend this house.
The house was absolutely beautiful. Exactly as described. Kitchen well equipped. The screened in porch was fantastic! So peaceful! Great view of the water. We enjoyed using the peddle boat! We will be back! Tisha and Mark were great to work with!
This property was perfect for my girl's trip with my mom and mother-in-law. We spent a lot of time simply relaxing, talking, and working puzzles on the amazing screened in back porch. My only criticism would be that none of the curtains in the master bedroom fit the windows and since the sun comes up so early in Nashville, I was up before 6:00 a.m. everyday on vacation as the sun poured through all windows. Also, the guest bedroom did not have curtains at all, so same situation with my guests waking up early on vacation. Otherwise, a lovely home and great experience.
This is a wonderful house in a fantastic neighborhood. Lots of wildlife to watch while you enjoy your coffee on the back porch. Picturesque views of old hickory lake.
We stayed here during the Thanksgiving holiday. It was just like being home it couldn’t have been any more perfect!!
They have everything you need for a large meal.
Very few places we’ve rented have full stocked kitchens. It was a blessing at this home.
Newer home, very clean and has everything you need for a comfortable stay.
We will return in the future maybe during the summer to enjoy the lake more.
Hosts were accomodating, responding quickly to my questions and going above and beyond to ensure my stay was perfect. The house was accurately described. I gave the description a 4 because there was no shampoo/conditioner/body wash in the premises. That was unexpected. This was reported to the hostess after checkout and Im confident it will be resolved.
We used the available kayaks (there were 2 there) and really enjoyed the scenery. The screened porch was lovely, and we were thrilled to observe 20 or so deer walking across the lawn, feeding on fallen, small branches. Drive slowly because the deer are consistent in the neighborhood.
We enjoyed eating st local staples, like Top Hog BBQ for lunch/ dinner and Old Glory for breakfast. There are a lot of options 15-20 minutes from the house, and we ate well.
You really cant go wrong staying here. Comfortable and airy with a split floor plan, which is nice if kids, relatives, or friends are joining you. Really a wonderful, long weekend that was so needed and very much appreciated. Thank you, Tisha and Mark.

Lora & Scott M., We currently live in Southern IN near LOUISVILLE.
This house was beautiful with a stunning view of the lake. It was well furnished with everything needed. Communication with the owner was good and they were quick to respond when we had issues getting the fire pit to light.
I highly recommend this house, however, the only thing that did not work well for us (2 adult couples) were the sleeping arrangements. We slept in the main bedroom which has a queen bed. (Note: if you need a dark room to sleep, bring an eye mask as as the blinds do not block out the light at all.) Our friends graciously agreed to sleep in the other bedroom with 2 twin beds even though it was not ideal for a couple. But they complained the beds were very small for adults and they did not sleep well in them at all. Other than that, the house was perfect.
We have traveled to a lot of cities and states but when I tell you this home is absolutely beautiful I mean it! This is the true definition of a vacation home! Very clean and quiet but the scenic views speak volumes!! Even the wildlife near the lake was a sight to see! Bucks, Cranes, hawks, baby deer, fish jumping out the water, everything was amazing. The house was well stocked and host was very responsive! We look forward to coming back and staying longer!
This was the perfect property and location for a TN getaway. Waking up to the view of the lake and morning visits from the deer was wonderful. I highly recommend booking this property for a TN getaway!
Unfortunately, our trip to TN was to attend a family funeral. However, we found this home and its location on the lake offered us the peace and serenity we needed. The house is beautiful, very clean & nicely equipped. We would definitely rent this property again and would recommend it to others.
It was still a bit too cold to use the lake but the property is in a great location. We enjoy Nashville and the property is just close enough for an easy drive. The host is very responsive to questions.
The house was beautiful and equipped with all the essentials. We loved being able to dock our boat and fish as we wanted. The screened in porch was perfect for morning coffee or afternoon reading. Lots of wildlife in a quiet neighborhood. Not too far from downtown and nearby towns. Communication with the owners was excellent and neighbor Ron was very nice to get to know. You won't regret booking a stay here!
It's a half hour or so from the city but the perfect place to start and end the day. The home owner was super nice and the place was amazing. We couldn't get the fire pit to work but it may have been user error...

About the host

We enjoy lake living, including, mountain biking, boating, fishing, canoeing, and hiking. We are recent residents of Sumner County, but have lived in the surrounding Nashville area for over 30 years.
Why they chose this property
This property is centrally located to many activities as well as close to the Nashville airport. We enjoy the size of Old Hickory Lake as well as the amenities it offers, which include several restaurants with live music. We spent over 15 years boating on Old Hickory lake with my parents.
What makes this property unique
Our property is located in a quiet cove on the lake with an island blocking the main channel of the lake. The screened porch overlooking the lake is my personal favorite place to read a book, listen to music and enjoy viewing all the wildlife. Our neighbors are friendly and willing to help you with anything as well.
