I spent July and August in this charming log cabin with every modern convenience you can think of, including a jacuzzi. It is ideally quiet, surrounded by trees but not isolated, and easy driving distance of all sorts of activities and cultural pleasures. It's hard to imagine a more ideal place to be.
Beautiful area, the home is very comfortable, and very cozy. The sleeping arrangements are a little uncomfortable for 4 adults since you have to use the pull out trundle bed, but otherwise we had a great time.
The property is so cozy and comfortable. We felt instantly at home when we walked in. It was spotless and very well maintained. Candace is a wonderful host! She is very easy to communicate with and more than willing to share information about the area.
The cabin is well supplied and nicely laid out. We enjoyed sunrises from the back deck. Although it’s in a community vs. being all alone in the woods, you still feel secluded with abundant privacy. House is well-equipped to make you feel right at home. Neighbors are friendly along with their pets. There’s some nice, nearby hiking locations such as Nuclear Lake and Lakeside Park. The town of Pawling, NY feels a bit like a train set has come to life with nearby bakeries, shops, etc. The Hudson River area isn’t too far away. Nearby, Kent, CT is worth a visit too.
Lovely place. Very comfortable and quiet. Wonderful location in a small lake community. Close to many fantastic places to visit and enjoy - Appalachian Trail, Storm King, Beacon, Dia Beacon, Kent and so many more. Host is very attentive and welcoming. Thank you very much.
The cabin was lovely, well stocked, clean, enough room for 4 adults and 2 teenagers. We checked out many of Candice's recommendations and all were great. The lake is beautiful with a nice sand beach. Too cold to swim in but I imagine it would be well used in the summer. Would love to come back and check it out.
Candice was a wonderful host and very helpful. The property was as pictured. Quaint,Comfortable and very clean. Fully equipped kitchen. Linens good and plentiful. Washer and dryer, supplies available. Would for sure stay again! Thanks Candace!
We had a very relaxing stay in this nice cabin. It is very well appointed and had way more to offer than we took advantage of. We intended to do less and just enjoy the cabins amenities but we stayed gone too much. Still, this would be the perfect place to do nothing and just relax. It is well designed with a nice back deck and many nice appliances we just didn't take advantage of. Candace is a generous host and provided everything we needed. She attended well to our needs and yet was completely unobtrusive. We would undoubtedly stay here again! Thank you Candace!
House has everything a person could want! State of art kitchen to kayaks! Most accommodating, wonderful host! Fab house in all seasons. Nearby farmers mkt. Great restaurants in town
We thoroughly enjoyed our time in Candace's cabin. The kitchen has everything one needs, the master bedroom and bathroom are comfortable and spacious (great whirlpool/tub), and the small lake (a ten minute walk) is just glorious. We swam and kayaked and had a great time. Candace was very helpful too.
We really enjoyed our time at this house. It is cozy and comfortable, has a well-stocked kitchen, and was extremely clean. We liked how it is located in a quiet community away from the main roads where you can go out walking and running safely. Our teenage son loved having an array of sports and other cable channels (we were there during March Madness) and the WiFi connection was excellent. The owner was easy to communicate with, and shared lots of information about things to do in the area. Thanks for a great week!
We needed this getaway so badly during Covid. Everything was super clean and Candace provided all of the essentials. We could not have asked for a better weekend away. Highly recommend!!!!
This super cute cabin has all you need. The kitchen was great everything was easy to work. The wood stove is perfect For a chilly night. The bathrooms were supplied with anything you could need .The decorating was beautiful. WiFi and TV were excellent. The owner could not have been easier to communicate with or more accommodating. Everything went great and we had a wonderful time!
