Welcome to The Great Escape! This oceanfront gem is located in the heart of beautiful, quiet and serene Ponte Vedra Beach. The house boasts 3 story beach living with amazing window and deck views and outdoor spaces, sleeps 8 and has been completely renovated from the ground up! Our Beautiful Beach House is nestled on a secluded stretch of beach that has no public parking or access nearby and is only 8 miles from historic downtown St. Augustine, just minutes from shopping, dining and the best tourist attractions.
The home has a newly remodeled, studio, mother-in-law suite on the first floor with its own private entrance, private kitchen, bathroom, sleeping space with king bed, living room, 55" smart tv, laundry and outdoor space.
The second story (the main living area) has amazing deck space overlooking Ponte Vedra Beach and the ocean and outdoor dining and grill that overlooks the gorgeous Atlantic Ocean. The main living area has an open floor plan with lots of sunlight, window views, eat-in kitchen and living room. The main level master bedroom has a king bed, and the second bedroom has a queen bed. The loft on the third floor has two addition twin beds for the comfort of your family and friends. Each bedroom has its own smart tv and clothing storage.
The house sits just across from the Guana Ocean Environmental Reserve where you can hike, jog, kayak, and bike while surrounded by protected wildlife. More than 3,800 sea turtles hatch on Ponte Vedra Beach each year, and the Guana Reserve works hard to protect the wildlife that's right outside our door! Outside on the property, enjoy visiting on the large balcony that includes a charcoal grill, a picnic table for beachside cookouts, reclining lounge chairs around the firepit for relaxing, and the perfect hammock for an afternoon siesta by the sea. This section of beach offers a lot of privacy, sounds and views of breaking waves, amazing seashells and some of the best surf fishing around, so bring your poles and catch dinner! In the evening enjoy the firepit while kicking back in the Adirondack chairs to enjoy the cool ocean breeze with a bottle of wine. Beach chairs and beach games are also provided! Beachfront Bliss

Beautiful Beach!

The house was great for us! Our son and family stayed upstairs with their dogs and my husband and I stayed downstairs. It is a perfect set up so we could all have some privacy. As soon as you open the door the beach is RIGHT there. The beach is very private with just neighbors using it. Sometimes we were the only ones on the beach with no one insight. We enjoyed sitting outside on the rear decks, eating and playing games. The breeze you get off the ocean made it much cooler. We took a nap in the hammock, used some of the beach toys that was provided, and especially enjoyed taking a quick rinse in the outdoor shower. A hose is also provided to give the dogs a bath before taking them back inside. The downstairs has a twin recliner loveseat for watching tv or just reading a book and the bed was comfortable. Upstairs has a larger kitchen and table for eating meals together. (Smaller full kitchen downstairs). Brian quickly responded to any questions we had and we’d love to return in the future. Thank you Brian for letting us enjoy your beach house for the week!!

Great stay with family

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Our stay was great and the view was spectacular. You are right on the beach just steps away. The home worked seamlessly for five adults and fur babies. My brother had the downstairs all to himself with his husky. The only thing needed are just a few more kitchen utensils and potholders but we made it work. We ate out everyday except for one that we made dinner. The house seems smaller than the picture but it really worked out without a problem for 5 adults. I definitely recommend this home to anyone. You will have a great time.

Great Stay

We had a great time at the house. On check in we couldn't get into the house but the owner communicated with us quickly and resolved the issue. There was five of us (all adults) and my brother had the downstairs all to himself which worked out great since he had his husky with him and our fur babies were not completely introduced to her. They slowly got to know each other and became friends. The view was unbelievable. You are really there for that view. You are just steps away from the beach. We even saw dolphins. We had our fur babies and my brother who is a veteran had his husky with him and they had a great time. The house does seem smaller than the picture but it worked out seamlessly. The only thing needed is just a few more kitchen utensils for cooking and potholders. We ate out most of the time but cooked dinner one of the days. I definitely recommend this home to anyone. Not crowded at all since we went the week before Memorial day. You will have a wonderful time and of course your fur babies.

Great location

The house is small but well appointed. Kitchen was very small with very little counter and cabinet space. The location is amazing!! Only steps from the very private beach. We also enjoyed the fire pit area. We had another couple join us for a few days and the downstairs suite was perfect for them.

Oceanfront retreats

Our stay was wonderful. We can’t wait to go back. The house sits right on the ocean. We enjoyed our morning coffee sitting outside on the deck watching the ocean. The is a perfect beach house. The owners were a pleasure to work with. There are many things to do. St Augustine is only a few miles away which has some great restaurants. All in all it was great. I highly recommend it.

House is misrepresented in VRBO pictures

The house is cute and it has a great location but it is very small, the pictures make you feel it’s much spacious and comfortable than it actually is. That would be ok, but It was not properly cleaned, towels are of the worst quality, and bedding sheets as well. The closet on one of the bedrooms is full of trash, so you can’t use it as a closet. Kitchen supplies were old, in bad shape, incomplete, with only one wine glass available. The under sink cabinet was disgusting. Lots of dirt behind the TV sets, and stained upholstery on the sofa and reclining chair. The basement area was in much better shape, with a larger bathroom and more updated than the top/main floor. We had to replace the main bathroom’s curtain since it was yellow with mildew. The sink is tiny, with a faucet that is too long to comfortably wash your face or hands.The house has potential but needs major renovations. In the pictures, the main street seems far away but is actually very close, so it gets very noisy at night, with cars driving at high speeds. I contacted the owner asking if there was a hair dryer in the house and he answered two days later. I let him know we were leaving two days before the checkout date, and to send him videos of how we left everything in order, but ever heard from him… The house is located in an area of the beach where there seems to have been more hurricane damage. The houses on the southern area of the beach seemed in much better shape than this one or the few surrounding one…

We loved it

The Location was amazing. I don’t think we could’ve been any closer to the water without being in the water. At first it was just my husband and I but then we had some friends come stay for the weekend and they stayed in the mother-in-law suite downstairs. Watching the sunrise every morning wonderful and walking the beach so peaceful. In the two weeks we were there I probably saw 12 people on the beach. The host was amazing just 10 minutes down the road. The first day we were there, We had a little issue with the AC he was there and had it fixed in 20 minutes. Talk about great service. We went out to eat one night the rest of the time we cooked ourselves. The local restaurants- let’s just say I was not impressed- but there is a Publix Grocery store just down the road. We will definitely be staying here again.

Relaxing

This was a cozy house where our family could relax and enjoy our vacation. We could sit on either porch and watch the kids build sand castles and jump through the waves. I needed one thing while on our stay here and messaged the owner at 10pm. I had it by early morning ☺️. I appreciated his quick response to anything I asked. This house was perfect for our family and we would definitely stay here again!

Location, location. Location!

This is a great location, private beach and everything that you need to enjoy your time outside. The host has beach chairs, and sand toys. We were able to use the firepit. There are 2 kitchens with the basics. There are pots and pans, but no mixing or serving bowls. I was able to prepare all the meals I wanted using the dining room table and some extra supplies that I brought (but I love to cook on vacation). The house stayed warm, there are a few small fans available in the house, but nothing to really circulate the air well. The redone in-law suite stays cool and is the most comfortable sleeping space. Very responsive owner.

Ocean view spectacular!

The property was well-maintained, and the views were incredible! It was a bit smaller than it appears on web but was adequate. Because we are at the beach, it would be nice if the glassware was unbreakable. Overall, the kitchen was well stocked with what we needed and there was a Publix just down the road. We would definitely go back and recommend it to anyone wanting a beachfront property vacation.

Perfect Relaxation!

Our family thoroughly loved this location. The rental was exactly as listed and did not disappoint. We had everything that we needed and enjoyed the private beach immensely. Highly recommend this location although be sure to bring bug spray for evenings and night as there are quite a few insects in the area when the sun goes down. We left firewood for the next renters to enjoy the fire pit which we loved by the ocean. Thank you for having us and we hope to visit again.

Great get away for spring break

We had a great time at a perfect location When I say right on the beach ,I mean right on the BEACH! Plenty of room for the 5 of us , we actually had room for 3 to 4 more people if we wanted. Owner communicated extremely well. He had a new A/C unit put in while we were there and we never could tell the difference. Location was perfect to go either Jacksonville or St. Augustine. If we had back down that way we'll stay here again. Thanks for letting us rent your place. Tony and family
