Desert oasis

It was really hot out but the parrot hideaway beat the heat! Everything is new and well done. The pool and misters kept the temperature just right. The boys caught lots of fish from the boat and the ping pong table was a hit! The place was very comfortable. Would definately return!

Amazing Luxury Dream Family Vacation!!

My family of 8 recently stayed at the Parrot Hideway for a week. This was the most PERFECT family vacation we've ever had; from check-in to check-out, to the Perfect Host "Kim"; our expectations were exceeded. If our family could give this vacation experience a score on a scale of 1-10, it would be a 20! From the personalized welcome snacks when you enter the door and welcome letter, to the detailed instructions on how to navigate everything within the home, to excellent communication, this home was an absolute WIN-WIN! The home is even more beautiful than the pictures and is in the perfect location close to shopping, grocery stores, restaurants and more. So much better than a 5 star hotel. You literally thought of everything including bath toiletries, everything we need to cook, pool floaties, life jackets, and so much more. The ride around the lake on the boat and paddle boat was a refreshing and relaxing way to begin and end each day. Thank you Kim for opening your home to my family and making this one of the best, if not the best, family vacation we've ever had. No one wanted to leave. Blessings to you and your family!

Best vacation

We stayed in this home along with another couple for a week long vacation and we had an absolutely amazing time. The home was even better than we imagined. There were days that we didn’t have any plans and we had the best time just spending time at the house, out at the pool and on the boat. Kim is the most incredible owner and answered any and all questions we had. We flew in from North Caroline and didn’t even ask Kim if the home could be ready before checkin because our flight arrived early but Kim asked us when our flight would get in and had the home ready before checkin time. If you are even thinking about staying in this area you must stay at this home! We never leave reviews but just had to do it for this home because it was so awesome. We can’t say enough good things about this home and the owner! If we are ever in the area again we will be staying here for sure! It truly was the best vacation ever and this home had a lot to do with that!

Perfect for families or groups of friends

Wow, what a great place for a group of 8 to spread out while centrally located near Glendale, Phoenix, Scottsdale, and Cave Creek. The entire house was very clean including the well appointed kitchen. While we were inside we played plenty of pool, ping pong, and Pac Man! While outside the pool kept us refreshed in the summer heat. The outside mister system was also a nice touch. We rounded out evenings by enjoying the big screens around the house or tooling around the lake in the boat. Kim the host was very attentive from beginning to end and welcomed us with a lovely gift upon our arrival. Would definitely recommend to other groups.

When the small details matter

The property host has focused attention to many small details that add huge value to vacation experience. The misters in the back were amazing in the afternoon and during pool breaks. BEST HOUSE EVER!!!!! Highly recommend!!!!!

We absolutely LOVED our vacay at the Parrot Hideaway! The owner, Kim, was so kind, thoughtful, and enjoyable to work with! She even wrote us a personalized welcome note with a tray of snacks and goodies! Her attention to detail throughout the house was incredible!! The house is decorated so cute, with fun colors and amazing details! Everything works perfectly, beds are SO comfortable, there is plenty of space everywhere, master bedroom is huge and so cool, the backyard is paradise, and the pontoon boat is so fun to cruise around in! Every switch on the wall is labeled (so thoughtful), wifi password is framed in every room (so thoughtful), a binder in every room with details on how to use everything and anything (so thoughtful), plenty of games and soft blankets around for lounging, the pool/ping pong table is so fun, and my husband and kids loved the pacman machine! The backyard has a fun pool with plenty of pool floaties to use (so thoughtful), a hot tub, a fire pit that we loved roasting marshmallows on every evening, misters that line the entire backyard area, fun lighting, portable bluetooth speakers for us to use, big shade umbrellas that we could move around outside to stay cool, a paddleboat, and a pontoon boat!! The pontoon boat was the icing on the cake! We went for an hour boat ride around the lake (not swimmable), every morning and every evening!! It was so peaceful to look at the mountains all around! Kitchen has a keurig and traditional coffee pot maker, coffee in the cabinets, kitchen well stocked for cooking, plenty of seating all around, and big beautiful windows to enjoy the lake view!! Bathrooms are all stocked like a hotel with toiletries, but way nicer and cuter than a hotel! Bedrooms are decorated super cute, with big walk in closets and extra blankets/pillows. Living room has a huge TV and comfortable seating, and there are TV's in every room. The location of the house is great! Close to the highway, and Fry's grocery store is just a few minutes down the street, along with anything else you'd need. There is a hiking trail in the neighborhood, so you can walk to it from the house (about a 2 minute walk to the trail). Being able to park in the garage at the house made it feel like we lived there and were apart of the neighborhood! This was, by far, the best VRBO house and experience we've ever had! Kim's attention to detail was the reason why. We highly recommend staying here and we can't wait to go back!!!

Best AZ rental yet!

This is our 6th rental house in the Phoenix area for our spring break trip and the best by far! Our group was 4 adults and 4 teenagers. Kim was a great host that provided great information prior to arrival with prompt responses. House was amazing with this being the first house we have rented with all amenities working with instructions. Pool lights, hot tub, misters, deck lights, grill, waterfall, pontoon to name a few. Very clean house that we would definitely rent again. And a 6 pack of beer in fridge as welcome gift was great.

Amazing Place

Parrot hideaway was the perfect place for our family. With ping pong, pontoon boat, the pool and the hot tub, we had plenty of activities to do right there. We used it as a base for our outings - hikes in the nearby area, golf and eating out. Kim was so nice and so responsive. All the information she provided before we got there made getting in easy. Great place to stay in the Phoenix area!

Beautiful House for Group Getaway

We had a group of friends go down to Spring Training for my husband’s 30th birthday and we could not have picked a better property to celebrate the occasion. Kim was so accommodating and welcoming. Her communication was fantastic and the rooms were perfect for our group and occasion. We spent a lot of time in the pool and hot tub, both of which were spotless. We will definitely be staying here if we have the opportunity to visit again!

Fun in the sun

4 couples rented the place. We loved the relaxing outdoor space and being able to do a sunset cruise on the pontoon boat around the lakes. The house was very accommodating as it has 4 BR and 4 Baths for each guest. The location has easy access to to alll the highways.

Just what we needed!

Coming in from Minnesota, our family of 5 needed some respite. This home had everything that we needed and then some. The kitchen was fully appointed, even two cake pans so my daughter was able to make a fun double layer cake. The bedrooms were cozy and beautiful. We thoroughly enjoyed the heated pool, hot tub and daily sunset pontoon rides. We certainly hope to be back some day. Also, the few questions we had, Kim was prompt with friendly information.

Christmas Paradise

Our family of 7 adults came for a Christmas vacation and this home did not disappoint. The kitchen is well-equipped for even a chef - we had a private chef one night and everything went smoothly. Heads up: the boat is electric and very slow as the lake does not have open space like I initially thought. Not necessarily a negative, though, as you can cruise in peace and quiet :)

Very nice property in a great location. We had 6 people and plenty of room for everyone. The home has a nicely stocked kitchen, if you decide to cook while at the property. Very nice lake in a quiet setting with a nice pool and hot tub. I would recommend this property to others.

Lake and Mountain Paradise; best of both worlds!

All I can say is WOW! This stunning property is absolutely amazing in every way. Beautifully furnished and stocked with every amenity you would want, this incredible home’s best asset is the view from the upper deck or backyard. Hours were spent outside as we welcomed the day with coffee and later toasted the fantastic sunsets. My family “borrowed” this home for a Christmas family gathering and we absolutely were spoiled for a week. After spending mornings hiking, we couldn’t wait to get back and soak in the hot tub. That, coupled with the fire pit and comfortable patio furniture, relieved our aches and pains. We also spent hours on the pontoon boat, floating around the neighborhood and looking at everyone's Christmas decorations. The boat was an unexpected surprise and we enjoyed it much more than we imagined. Inside, the home was spotless! The decor was also absolutely beautiful and the furnishings were perfect. Kim even put up a small Christmas tree to make the gathering more festive. Additionally, every bed in the house was super comfy and there were plenty of towels for each bathroom. The house is also well stocked with games of every kind, a poker table, and a billiards table; on a cold or rainy day you couldn’t want for more. To top it all off, Kim and her husband were the perfect hosts! She welcomed us and made sure everything we needed was supplied. Easy to contact, questions were answered immediately so we never had any issues that weren’t addressed. I’ve stayed in many VRBO properties through the years and this lakefront paradise scores way at the top. I promise you won’t be disappointed with this home. We’ll definitely be back. Thank you Kim for a terrific week!

FANTASTIC!!

Couldn’t be happier with all aspects of our trip to this wonderful Glendale Property. The owners are super accommodating and helpful, and, their home is beautiful with crazy cool views over water. It tops off with location, location, location!! Super easy access to downtown, other Phoenix areas, golf, hiking (out your back door), I could go on and on. Especially Perfect spot if you are a golfer looking to play Quintero several times. Well done owners!!!

Paradise in the desert!

What an amazing place this was..truly paradise..we had a trip planned to Maui..which got canceled due to covid..after a lot of searching I stumbled upon this gem!..the pictures and description are totally legit and even better in person..the owner Kim and her Husband are such amazing and accommodating..it was the perfect getaway...I would recommend time at this house to any and everyone...too notch place run by top notch people..you will be sad to leave...it left such a positive mark on us that we are now planning a move to AZ...thank you for a lifetime of memories!

An ideal vacation rental experience

Where do I begin? From the moment I first had contact with Kim, she made me feel so welcome. That same feeling continued all the way into our trip. When we arrived, Kim had left us a gift basket and lovely note, and was available via text during our entire stay. Now onto the house... it’s even better than in the pictures! It is immaculate and includes any detail you can think of. And the views are breathtaking! Our girls loved the pool and hot tub, but what my husband and I loved the most were our nightly pontoon rides. I would highly recommend this house to anyone as it truly is an ideal vacation rental experience!

Desert Paradise!

Took a golf vacation with 3 other couples and this house was perfect! The pictures of the property are not only accurate, they undersell. The layout of the house was perfect for us and allowed us our personal space and also plenty of room to mingle. The amenities in the home are the best we have had at any other property as well. We boated, fished, swam, hot tubbed (in 100 degree weather), played games, and just relaxed as well. The kitchen was spacious and made it easy for all us to cook. We loved the area as well. The neighborhood is very nice and the people there were very friendly. Kim is so friendly, helpful and accommodating. Looking forward to coming back!

Originally from the Midwest, we spent 17 years living in Kansas City. In 2011 we found our dream villa in Arrowhead Lakes in Glendale Arizona.

We live a couple blocks away so we will make certain that the guests have everything they need and are responded to quickly. We are also excited to share our beautiful neighborhood with visitors.

Why they chose this property

We were moved by the incredible water and Mountain Vistas and wonderful neighbors. This past spring we came across an opportunity to purchase a second home in Arrowhead Lakes and turn it into a vacation rental. We are looking forward to sharing the Parrot Hideaway with other families and friends that want to come out and appreciate all that Arrowhead Lakes has to offer. We enjoyed outfitting the home to create a lakeside ambiance that complements the serenity of the long lake and mountain views.

What makes this property unique

We love that each room as bath within steps or is an en suite.

Our favorite project was creating the game room. As you can tell by the photos we have a love for color and bright sunny spaces.
