About this property

Chez Malo - Cottage with garden in Normandy - Eure - Lignerolles

Located in a small quiet village in Normandy (1h15 from Paris), between Dreux and Evreux, you will be welcomed in a friendly house that can accommodate up to 9 people.
! It is important to know that sheets and towels are not included in the price but optional! ... More information in the full description below.

THE HOUSE
The independent house of around 80 m² is made up of two bedrooms (on the 1st) and common areas (on the ground floor - living room, open kitchen and bathroom). It is located in a 1800 m² property in which a garden area is reserved for you. This haven of peace that I call my little paradise offers you serenity, pleasure, and perhaps, depending on the mood of the moment, sharing between aperitifs, barbecues or musical evenings.

It is important to know that there are two dogs on the property. Loustik is an adorable Bearded Collie, affectionate, sometimes too much and Laya, a Creole shepherd crossbreed, is an adorable affectionate, cuddly, playful and sociable louloute. They love everyone, adore children and all their 4-legged compatriots.
(more information below).

ROOMS AND ADDITIONAL BEDS:
The country room can accommodate up to 4 people. A single mattress is installed on the small mezzanine to the delight of children! This does not however remove the idea of an adult settling there.

The azure room, for its part, can accommodate 3 people.

Finally, the house can accommodate up to 9 people, the sofa bed can sleep 2 people.

SHEETS and TOILETS:
Bed linen and towels are not included in the price. They are however offered for rental.
If you wish to take this option and thus not have to provide this detail, you will have to notify me when making your reservation by telling me which beds you wish to use. Your beds will be prepared for your arrival.
The price for renting sheets and towels is on the stay and depends on the beds you will occupy, namely € 10 per single bed and € 15 per double bed.
There are 3 ways to pay for this service:
- When booking the lodging, the amount will be added to your request for payment of the stay by the site.
- By check that you will send me by post no more than 3 weeks before your arrival.
- In cash on the day of your arrival.
By taking this option, you will have your beds prepared with duvets.
In the option there are also a large and a small hand towels per person.

PLEASE !!! if you prefer not to take the option, thank you for taking into consideration that the pillow covers, bedspread and sofa bed cover are not to be used as a replacement for sheets and pillowcases that you did not bring .
The blankets for each bed must be installed over the sheets.
So thank you for planning, if you do not choose the option, your complete kit for the beds you will use, namely the sheets for the mattress and those above or duvets, the pillowcases and towels toilet.
I will send you an email after booking telling you the size of the beds.

EQUIPMENT at your disposal in the house:
- Wi-fi (by PLC box)
- barbecue
- oven
- fridge (this one being small, for extended stays, you can store your groceries in advance in my personal fridge).
- coffee maker
- kettle
- toaster

- large shower
- dry toilets (you will find many articles on the Internet explaining the concept)

- CD player, K7 and radio
- board games
- iron and ironing board

- Baby cot

EQUIPMENT accessible in my house (may require an additional charge):
- washing machine
- dryer
- freezer

YOUR SPACE:
You will have access to the whole house.
Part of the property's garden at the back of the house is reserved for you. It is not closed from the rest of the property but remains quite intimate, the garden being well planted.
You can park your cars at the bottom of the garden or on the street for rainy days.

Regularly on site (my house is on the property), I will be, if necessary, present to meet your needs.

FURTHER INFORMATION :

TOURIST TAX:
As of January 1, 2019, the tourist tax is 3% per night and per night.
It will be payable locally.

ANIMALS :
Due to various abuses and damage, the animals no longer have access to the house. If you were to come with your pet, he must stay outside.

LOUSTIK and LAYA:
Loustik, this adorable teddy bear is quite sticky and will certainly spend a lot of time in front of the picture window of your small house or at your feet when you are outside.
It is a very very affectionate male who quickly understood that there are lots of possible new friends who come to his house.
Upon your arrival and because of his vitality, he can impress or surprise people who are not used to it but he is in no way aggressive and, as said before, Loustik loves everyone! ... After saying hello this way, Loustik calms down and becomes an adorable, fairly obedient teddy bear ;-)

Recently, I welcomed a new companion for Loustik. Her name is Laya. A 4-year-old Creole cross, she is small, playful, sociable and very cuddly. I teach him the few rules of property, including that of not entering your house, a prohibition that Loustik has understood even if he still hopes that a good soul will allow him to pass 😉

If you think that this "disturbance" could be a problem for you (I fully understand that some people do not appreciate the presence of animals), it might be preferable that you find another accommodation.
Another solution could be that I keep them during your stay and if you really want to, we can discuss them knowing that this solution would add an additional cost of 28 € / day and that I would have to be warned enough advance to check availability of the dogsitter.

Finally, Loustik and Laya are sterilized and vaccinated against kennel cough.

INTERNET AND TELEPHONES:
The house is now equipped with a PLC box, the WiFi connection is therefore very good.
Regarding the telephone networks, some do not reach the house, such as Orange or Free for which you will have to walk in the street. SFR also has its weaknesses. Bouygues, meanwhile, is a (telephone) network that works perfectly well!

ACTIVITIES in the region (distances from the house) - non-exhaustive list:

WALKS, VISITS and HERITAGE:
Don't doubt it. Eure, this sometimes unknown Norman destination, is a land steeped in heritage. Go back in time and discover these castles and abbeys which tell the prestigious legacy of Norman and French stories. Taste the art of living in beautiful towns with Norman woods that embody the architectural identity of Normandy. In museums, reconnect with old gestures, be surprised by unexpected and rare skills, or appreciate contemporary creations. Stroll.

Erg fijn huisje
