Magnifique

Nous avons passés 4 jours vraiment superbes au moulin de la Maillerie. Le beau temps étant pour beaucoup, il nous a permis de profiter pleinement de la piscine chauffée, des extérieurs tres bien entretenus et des chemins de randonnées accessibles depuis l'hébergement. Le moulin est isolé et permet d etre tranquille entre amis et profiter de la nature. Claire, notre adorable hôte à l'art de bien recevoir dans son moulin bien équipé (linge de maison, serviettes, savons etc...) elle est également très reactive dans les échanges. Nous recommandons sans hésitation. Nous reviendrons c'est sûr.

Summer Holiday

We had the most wonderful stay at la Mallerie where you can really enjoy the natural beauty and authentic charm of France. The location is so beautiful and you can fully switch off and enjoy the peace and tranquility. The setting is very private. The addition of the swimming pool was wonderful. The grounds have many areas where you can sit and relax or enjoy dinner. Table tennis was great. Our children loved the wildlife and animals and it was lovely having the goats and sheep to see daily. Alain was a wonderful help during our stay he was extremely helpful for anything we needed. Claire was also a lovely host very friendly and helpful. We were fortunate to visits during the festival that only occurs once every 7 years so the towns were beautifully decorated with bunting which was lovely to see we very much enjoyed walking into town for fresh bread and cakes daily. It takes about 20-25 mins casual stroll into town it is up a steep hill but very beautiful town. The supermarket is about a 10min drive away and you can get a huge choice of everything you need. Would recommend to anyone wanting to come away and recharge there batteries and relax and enjoy authentic living in France.

Amazing, Relaxing Holiday

We had a wonderful relaxing family holiday here. The house was very clean, comfortable, and well-equipped. The grounds and the pool were fantastic. We enjoyed watching the wildlife as did the teenage animals that came with us (when we could drag them away from the pool and excellent wifi coverage). The walk up to Rochechouart from the house was steep but well worth it (food at the Hotel de France was amazing and great value). Claire was an amazing and attentive, but not intrusive host and we will definitely be back. If you haven't gathered, we would recommend "La Maillerie" for any family holiday or a peaceful adult break.

Nous avons eu la chance de séjourner dans cette magnifique maison de vacances près de la rivière, et nous sommes enchantés par notre expérience ! Le cadre bucolique nous a permis de nous ressourcer pleinement, entourés par la nature et le calme apaisant du domaine. Les chambres étaient superbes, aménagées avec goût, et nous nous y sommes tout de suite sentis à l'aise. Chaque détail semblait avoir été soigneusement pensé pour offrir un séjour des plus confortables. La piscine chauffée a été un véritable atout, nous permettant de nous détendre et de nous rafraîchir à tout moment de la journée. Les nombreux équipements disponibles ont également rendu notre séjour très pratique et confortable. En outre, la propriétaire des lieux était tout simplement charmante, accueillante et toujours prête à nous aider et à répondre à nos demandes. Son hospitalité a ajouté une touche chaleureuse à notre séjour, et nous nous sommes sentis les bienvenus dès notre arrivée. En somme, nous recommandons vivement cette location de vacances à tous ceux qui recherchent une expérience relaxante et mémorable, ah le joli murmure de la rivière... Un grand merci à la propriétaire pour avoir rendu notre séjour si exceptionnel ! Nous espérons revenir bientôt.

Relaxing family holiday

This was the perfect relaxing holiday for us this year. The villa was ideal, it gave everyone enough space to be by them selves and there were big enough areas for us all to be together. This is very difficult to find when you are a family of 6! There were so many beautiful places in the grounds of the villa. The pool was an ideal size and at a lovely temperature. Claire was a wonderful host and was always there on hand if needed but not intrusive. Thank you so much for our wonderful holiday. The location dropped a star only because there weren't many places to eat out in the local area. This was no problem for us as we were more than happy to eat in and cook for ourselves. We did find a couple of places to eat which were perfect for us and we weren't very adventurous. The rest of the location was so picturesque and we enjoyed many walks, cycles, swims and chateaux's all within a half hour drive.

Dépaysement assuré

Très beau domaine au cadre magnifique. Le Château surplombant l'accès au moulin fait son effet dès l'arrivée 🤩. La propriétaire est très accueillante et à l'écoute. Nous cherchions le dépaysement et la déconnexion, nous l'avons trouvé à la Maillerie. Nous recommandons sans hésitation.

Ein wunderbarer Ort der Ruhe

Fußläufig unterhalb des wunderschönen Städtchens Rochechouard mit allen benötigten Einkaufsmöglichkeiten liegt diese wunderbare Oase der Ruhe. Die Beschreibung des Objekts entspricht der Realität. Es ist ein Ort der Entspannung und Erholung. Der Bach und die großen Bäume spenden Kühle und Schatten auch bei hohen Temperaturen, die dicken Mauern des Hauses sorgen für sehr angenehme Temperaturen im Inneren. Die sehr guten Betten sorgen für ungestörten Schlaf. Viele verschiedene Sitz (und Liege-) Plätze, am Pool, auf der Insel, an der Schleuse, auf der Terrasse oder aber drinnen bieten Abwechslung und viele neue Sichtweisen. Der Pool ist perfekt, Fahrräder und Tischtennis bieten Abwechslung. Im Nachbarhaus wohnt Claire, die Vermieterin. Ein ganz wunderbarer, ruhiger und zurückhaltender Mensch, immer verfügbar und hilfsbereit aber nie störend. Sie ist ein Teil des Ensembles. Zusammenfassend ist dieser Ort ein magisches Geschenk zum Entspannen und Auftanken. Wir sind dankbar, dass wir dort sein durften.

Amazing place to stay

Wow was the word for this place, beautiful property fantastic location. Claire was so helpful and accommodating she is the perfect host. Highly recommend this property if you are planning to visit this area of France. This was our 4th holiday in Rochechouart and by far the best accommodation we have had. Hopefully we will be returning in the near future.

Lovely house in beautiful location

We had a fantastic time staying in this gorgeous house. It is very well equipped and Claire is a superb host. The location is beautiful with a dramatic view of the chateau. We particularly loved cooking outside on the island! We would love to come back.
