The décor features lots of Hawaii with a taste of Bali.

Dining in? Enjoy a well stocked kitchen with pots, pans, accessories and utensils, and plenty of cabinet space. There are upgraded wood privacy blinds in the living room and bedroom with a full mirrored wardrobe including desk/vanity and built in solid cherry cabinetry plus a second smart TV to watch In bed. All lighting is dimmer controlled.

The living room boasts a fully mirrored wall and elegant carved Bali furniture, comfy couch and large rattan lounge as well as beautiful bar counter stools. Exquisitely appointed with the look of whitewashed wood floors, the bedroom has a KING SIZE BED and there is a new comfy queen-size sofa bed in the living room. Enjoy free HI SPEED WIRELESS INTERNET! In addition to the comfy indoor dining table and chairs, the oceanfront lanai dining area has a table and four comfortable rockers. You won't want to leave. The full entertainment system boasts a 42” Smart TV, DVD and CD player with a great sound bar and bass bin in the living room. The bedroom has a flat panel SMART TV. You will get about 80 channels of cable and feel free to stream your own programs. Both main rooms have modern adjustable HIGH SPEED CEILING LIGHTS and FANS and ac wall unit in the living room.

Our bath is equipped with a full shower/bath, new cabinetry, floors and lighting. Laundry? Of course the home is equipped with a great heavy duty stacked WASHER AND DRYER. The unit is also family friendly.

Near Perfection

I stayed year with a family of 4 and had a great time. This patio is within steps of the ocean and that is priceless, something you'll get used to very very quickly. The condo itself was spacious enough for my wife and my two younger children, there was a generous portion of dishwasher and washer pods (not that we used it all that much) and kitchen was fully equipped with all utensils one would generally need. It never got real hot for us and we were more than comfortable with the breeze and the ceiling fans and the occasional use of the window AC. Overall, you can tell the property is being cared for and has been updated along the years; however, a bathroom update would definitely complete it. The only annoyance we had was, on two occasions, someone accidentally parking in our assigned spot, one overnight. The property manager however was quick to respond. The surrounding neighborhood is beautiful, walking distance to beaches and local eateries/coffee shops. This is our 4th time in this vicinity and will be returning in a couple months.

Great whale watching from lanai and great overall atmosphere right at seaside. Only wish had better access to beach for Snorkeling and swimming. Overall, was quite peaceful.

Great location; listing details not all correct

This unit is in a great location, right on the ocean, with plenty of sea turtles. However, there is no beach (though listing says there is) - there are only steps down to the water, where one can float around and snorkel. It is quite wavy there, depending on the time of day. There are also no water toys - no noodles or boogie boards (though listing says there are). The floor was dirty when we arrived, as was the shower door, and there were towels in both the washer and dryer. They only provide one each of hotel-tiny cheap shampoo and conditioner, plus tiny, harsh bar of soap, so we had to go shopping our first day there for proper products. Some of it has been improved, but overall, it is dated. Still, it is comfortable overall, and there are good beaches nearby, for a short drive (or long walk).

Loved this property. Close to the ocean with turtles and great sunsets each night. Great location to the bigger beaches. This complex seemed to have many family groups so beware of that in case you are looking for a romantic quiet vacation. The lighting in our condo could have been brighter, especially in the kitchen because we cooked alot, but we had a wonderful time on the lanai each morning and evening eating and watching the sunsets so the lighting inside was only noticed in the evenings after that.. We will book this property again in future stays because we enjoyed it that much.

Property was amazing, great people, everything you need was right there. Location is great, nice markets and beaches close by, got my run in every day and every day was a new experiacne. There is great access to all parts of the west side and they say it is the "best" side for obvious reasons. I was great to not be part of a mega hotel complex. The sunsets and ocean view, sound and sweet smell of the ocean was just what you would hope to experience. I will be back again to his property or anything Herb and Maui Lodging Properties has to offer.

The location and the view of this unit is unbelievable. Watching stunning sunsets every evening, whales and dolphins from our deck was simply awesome. The unit is well furnished and bed super comfy. We will be back for sure.

Great Condo, great location!

Alan's Place was spotless clean, and set up very nicely. Whales visible right from the Lanai. We enjoy the Peace and Quiet this area offers. If we want noise, we can drive to Lahaina, very easily....LOL. Thanks for a great stay.

Nice small place, good location, right on the ocean, well-equipped.

This place is small but very nice. It has a living room separated from a kitchen by a counter, and a bedroom and a bathroom. the living room looks larger than it feels because one wall is all mirror. The sliding glass doors open to a semi-private lanai that opens to a lawn that is shared by the entire building (so people from the upper floors often sit in lounges or at table on the lawn right in your line of sight). The lawn used to have a walking path right on the ocean, but it appears to have been washed away and is now roped off. About 100 feet away is a super tiny sand beach and tidepools and access to the ocean for snorkeling or kayaking. This place is stocked with various sized coolers, portable beach chairs, boogie boards, many towels, many pillows, extra blanket for sofa-bed, full kitchen, laundry machines, extra batteries, scissors, chip-clips, filtered water pitchers, extra key and parking pass in case you need multiple, etc. - I was pleasantly surprised how many of our potential needs were anticipated by the owner! And he left detailed instructions and suggestions for us. There's also wifi and 2 TVs and ways to stream movies and stuff, but we didn't use any of that except wifi. Privacy is not really a thing here: people can view into your apartment (but not your bedroom) from the lawn, and if you close the interior blinds they are still see-though. There is a privacy "awning" thing you can pull down, but I couldn't figure out how to attach it to anything and didn't want it blowing in the wind so I didn't use it, but I suspect it's see-through as well. The location is very nice: about 15 minutes north of old Lahaina, about a 5 minute drive from a Supermarket Times (grocery store), and walkable to a great Farmers Market store (think vegan) and many other stores. It's also only about 10 minutes to Napili bay and maybe 30 minutes to Nakalele blowhole.

Nice place to stay

We enjoyed staying at the condominium for our two week stay in Maui. We were able to do something via car about every other day. Examples are: that we drove to North Maui for some sightseeing on coastline; day trip to Kihei; day outing to Maui Ocean Center; visited the Kula Gardens; day trip to Haleakala Crater(clear weather at the top!). We also experienced an all day Mahalo Tour of the road to Hana and the southern tip of Maui. That tour is highly recommended if you can afford it. On other days, my daughter and boyfriend practiced snorkeling in swimming pool before venturing out in the ocean front area of the condominium. One day the saw some very pretty and varied fish in the ocean not too far from the beach area. Some of the fish were very similar to what we saw at the Maui Ocean Center. Another day, my wife and I took them to an area just north of the D.T. Fleming Beach Park(Kapalua) and they saw fewer fish but some pretty coral reef and a good size turtle. One morning, we all saw some dolphins off in the distance in ocean heading in northerly direction. Early in the stay, the young adults also saw few turtles near the rocky and sandy beach area to the south of the property. My daughter's boyfriend was very good at using the nearby barbecue and prepared some very delicious evening meals for us!. We experienced some very interesting and pretty sunsets during our stay. We had an initial problem with few linen supply items our first night stay. However, we had immediate resolution to our concern the next day. Thank you housekeeping department. We did not experience any other issues during our stay. The parking lot area was a bit of a challenge for me because the spacing seemed tight for me, but I managed okay. Shopping for groceries was fairly easy nearby. A few days before our departure for return to Eureka CA, we met Alan and Steve (owners) momentarily as they were in the area to work on another one of their units. It was great to meet them. We enjoyed our stay.

Nice stay in Maui

This is our second stay at this very nice one bedroom condo. Our last stay was 2-3 years ago. This first floor condo, is ocean front, with a retaining wall, not a sand beach in front. There are stairs you can access down to the water, ( the wall is currently under repair). The sea turtles like to come in and feed off the plants growing on the rocks, so look for turtles. The condo itself is nice, the sliding door and screen door are tough to open and could use either some work or replacement. There is AC in the main room, which is nice being on the first floor and the afternoon sun beats in and heats the condo up at night time. The kitchen comes with basic amenities. The Condo was clean, a few dead bugs but you are in a tropical climate, expect it. We enjoyed our stay and can't wait to go back some time soon.
