Large quirky property
Large spacious property with unheated pool which we were able to use in the hot sunshine of September /October. High altitude location next to a busy road that settles down at night.
Many facilities at the house, very thoughtful and useful, eg board games, table football,darts, table tennis, bbq, washing machines, dryer, iron etc.
The two shower rooms were enough for our small group of 3 but you may struggle if it was a full house.
Thoughtful and conscientious owner who communicated well and helped with local advice for visiting the area, lots of maps and books available at the house.
Kind donation of wine.
Good check in and check out facilities.
My only criticism was the cleanliness of the 'parents' shower cubicle, it needs a deep clean to the lower third as it was dirty and I left the 3 stained musty pillows that had been put onto our beds to one side for reviewing by the owner, however I had no problem in changing them for clean ones as there were plenty in the other bedrooms. I also felt I needed to wash the quilt on 'the parents' bed as this was very musty, had stains and hair on it. This was easy to do at the local Super U laverie but both issues need regular checking before rental.
All in all a fantastic holiday as the area is amazing, but you will need to use your car to benefit from this and the property just needs a bit of regular maintenance to keep it up to standard.
