We had a great stay. The cabin was lovely and very clean and thoughtfully decorated. We enjoyed watching the deer near the cabin. Would definitely recommend!
We really enjoyed our stay at this recently renovated and very nicely decorated home on a deer farm. The house had a lot of rustic charm and the property provided a very unique and relaxing experience.
My sister and I thoroughly enjoyed our girls' trip stay at the guest cabin at the Red Deer Lodge. The cabin was cute, clean and comfortable and the peaceful, rural setting was beautiful and just what we were looking for. The owners of the cabin were very welcoming and hospitable. We had a great time!
My wife and girls had a great experience. The lodge decor impressed them and really made it feel like a getaway. Deer watching is one of our daughter’s favorite things to do and it was non-stop fun for her. Will stay again!
What a perfect little getaway with all the special details. Loved the rustic decor of the house and how comfortable it is. The deer are so entertaining to watch.
Love the coziness of the property. Love having the beautiful deer close enough to watch; they are such gorgeous creatures! Appreciate the responsiveness of the host to my many questions. Love being able to purchase a coffee mug as a remembrance of our lovely time at HiBanks Ranch. Definitely hope to stay again sometime. The lavender scents of the soap and shampoos was just an added pleasure to all the other loveliness of our stay.
Our stay at the Lodge was everything we were looking for! The location was perfect. Peaceful and in the country but very close to Waco. The home was very well decorated, perfectly clean, the beds were comfortable, and every detail was thought out. We really enjoyed arriving to wine and meat snack sticks provided by the hosts! We felt like we were staying with personal friends or family! Our kids loved the backyard watching the deer, cows, mini horse and goats!
We will definitely be back!
Our stay at HiBanks Ranch was absolutely delightful! From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with welcome items on the table and in the fridge, making us feel right at home. The house was impeccably clean and beautifully decorated, giving us the feeling of being in a rustic luxury cabin in the European countryside.
One of the highlights was waking up to the sight of red deer and their babies so close to us—truly an incredible experience. The toiletries provided were wonderful, and we especially appreciated the mobile fan which provided a nice breeze and soothing wind noise for those of us who are rough sleepers.
The king-size bed was glorious and incredibly comfortable, ensuring a restful night's sleep. Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed our time at HiBanks Ranch and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a serene and luxurious getaway.
We came to Waco to view the eclipse. Being out in the country was a wonderful viewing place. Property is only 10-15 minutes from places we wanted to go in Waco. The property was perfect for my daughter and me. We had everything we needed for a 4 night stay. The beds were very comfortable (only challenge was since I am 5' tall, I had a little difficulty getting into the "high" bed in the master bedroom downstairs.) The "internet tv access" was a little challenging. We missed being able to get local news which would be available with cable or Dish. We would definitely stay there again when we visit Waco.
Avid VRBO renters that enjoyed this cabin immensely. One of the coziest, comfiest, and cutest places we have ever stayed in. Between the gorgeous property, the most comfortable bed, pristine decor, and a warm welcoming environment this is a must to take your family! A very short drive to Magnolia Silos, Cameron Park Zoo, local boutiques/shopping centers, and many great food options close by to either eat out at or to gather groceries to prepare a delicious family meal in the perfectly stocked kitchen. We cannot wait to return!
What a wonderful place! We enjoyed watching the deer to the side and back of the cabin. The cabin was immaculate and was well supplied. Check-in was easy and the owners stayed in contact with us from the beginning until the end of our trip without being intrusive.
This cabin is not too far from Waco but just far enough to give you quiet, beautiful sunsets and sunrises! The king size bed slept wonderfully- not too hard, not too soft. The water pressure in the shower was excellent (this is major for thick hair shampoo days!) The stairs to go up to the 2nd bed/bath are a little steep, so if traveling with small children I’d suggest a baby gate. Jimmy was wonderful as the host! They have truly thought of everything you might need to have the perfect stay! We will be back!
The lodge is beautifully appointed. Luxurious details abound in a cozy, rustic setting. The beds were dreamily comfortable, and we loved coming home after a day of exploring in Waco to relax on the front porch swing, or in the back yard watching the sun set. Gorgeous, bucolic morning ambles rounded out evenings on the porch snuggling up with the kittens who seemed to appear on demand. This was the perfect place to unwind and recharge our batteries.
Rented as a 60th anniversary overnight stay for our parents and they thoroughly enjoyed this property and beautiful cabin. The bed was a little high/tall for my shorter mom, but manageable. And they would’ve preferred that the cabin wasn’t right next to the working barn. Owners were super helpful and responsive though. Overall, a great stay for them!
We enjoyed our stay at Red Deer Lodge. The cabin is lovely and extremely comfortable. Furniture was beautiful and the beds were comfortable. Spent a lot of time sitting on the back porch watching the sun rise and listen to the coyotes in the evening,
Cabin was very cute! Property is close to town but feels far removed from city life. Jimmy and his family were very accommodating and even took the time to show us some of his beautiful animals. We will definitely be back.
We were already excited about the adorable cabin and love how close you are to the deer! Beds and linens are super comfy. The décor is warm and cozy. Only heads up: stairs to 2nd bedroom are steep.
A nice bottle of wine and snacks awaited us when we arrived! We couldn’t wait to go on the back patio and see those amazing Red Deer while I sipped on the wine and my hubby had a cold beer. The cabin is comfortable and easy. Jimmy greeted us and took us on a tour. Waco is close. We buzzed in and got dinner. Came back and relaxed on the back porch enjoying the nighttime breeze.
We will definitely return for a longer stay in the future!
