Relaxing stay

This is a great little cottage stay and is close to the lake, it has everything you need plus it nice and quiet. Doug met with us and had lots of good information. This is a definitely a must stay.

Wonderful stay at Flathead Lake Cottage!

The cottage was very clean, cozy, and decorated to reflect the surrounding area. Doug and Fiona were kind, a great resource for info, and all around wonderful hosts. We had a lovely time in beautiful flathead lake and being at the cottage made our trip more relaxing and enjoyable.

The perfect home base

Beautiful accommodations and beautiful area

This cottage is just beautiful and it was the perfect for the two of us. Easy drive to explore Bigfork, Kalispell and Whitefish. Very happy we chose to stay at Fiona and Doug's cottage.

Fantastic stay at Flathead Lake

This cottage was perfect for us to spend a relaxing time in the Flathead area. The size and amenities in the cabin were just right. The quality of the construction and decor really made this a great place to stay - everything was high quality, clean and well functioning. We'd also like to compliment the graciousness of our hosts. They were very friendly and accommodating, and they provided tremendously helpful guidance and advice about things to do in the area. All in this was a great place to stay that we would love to use again when back in the area.

Dream Catcher Cottage

This dream catcher cottage made our dreams come true! Sits on a winding mountain path with gorgeous rocks and flowers! Able to see Flathead Lake from the porch. Close to Whitefish and Glacier National Park. The hosts were very accommodating and gave us some terrific information on the area and hikes. Gorgeous place!!

Great Experience

Best VRBO stay we have had. Doug and Fiona welcomed us and showed us around, explained what to do in the area. Cabin is perfect for a couple, well equipped, and clean. Located close to Flathead Lake and an easy drive to Glacier National Park. Highly recommend!

What an awesome little cottage. The amenities were great. It was clean as can be. Well stocked with things like coffee, sun Tuan lotion etc. hosts were super helpful and friendly!!

Perfect Get Away

It is a very cute, modern cottage. Fiona & Doug provided a warm welcome and all the little things; attention to detail and linens that you would want in your own home. We had to shorten our stay... wish we could have stayed at their place longer. It is located in a quiet, beautiful area. Close enough to town; yet far enough from any road or other noises with a nice view of the lake from the front window and outside on the deck. We enjoyed our stay and hope to go back!!

I’ll miss this place everyday

I wish I could rate everything higher than 5 stars. We were totally blown away by everything; from how nice the cottage was, how beautiful the area was, to how courteous and helpful Doug and Fiona were. Great people, perfect hosts. I was amazed at how much information, tips, advice, and suggestions they have ready for visitors. They have a binder packed full of helpful info, maps, and guides. We are going to really miss that place. We would absolutely love to come back and stay. Thank y’all for everything, you left a lasting impression on us and helped make what was left of our trip great. Hoping y’all will let us stay again. Wishing y’all the absolute best, and hope to see y’all again!

Perfect Vacation Cottage

I typically do not write reviews, negative or positive, but our ten-day stay at the cottage was perfect. This is our fifth time visiting Montana and this is by far our favorite place to stay. The cottage is perfect for two people, beautifully decorated and equipped, and well laid out. The location is ideal as it is quiet and private with a gorgeous view of the lake but minutes away from many attractions. Doug and Fiona are the consummate hosts with a wealth of information about the area. We highly recommend taking the boat tour of Flathead Lake with Doug – it was both enjoyable and informative. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the cottage and plan to make it a regular retreat.

Super clean charming cottage with a great location

We had a wonderful time. Doug and Fiona were excellent hosts, and had so many little extras (like bear spray) that saved us money and made us feel welcome. Great location, and a binder full of recommendations for the area. The cottage was incredibly clean, charming, and a perfect place for a couple to stay. Would highly recommend to anyone looking to stay in this area.

Hidden Gem!!

Fiona and Doug were very communicative and helpful prior to our arrival, and then they were very attentive and knowledgable when we checked in, gave us great local information, were very friendly and helpful and then left us to our own devices. The accommodations were absolutely immaculate with everything you would ever need in the cabin suite. Definitely one of the best places we've ever stayed in this kind of a location. Two big thumbs up and a solid recommendation for anyone who wants to stay in the Flathead Lake area and have good lake access and access to many other activities.

Fantastic.

Our experience here was amazing. Fiona and Doug made sure they were there to walk us through all of the amenities, show us the super helpful guides for the area, and answer any questions we had in person. The cottage is super cozy, clean, and loaded with new appliances. It's location can't be beat either, as we were maybe a 3-minute drive from the lake and within 10 minutes of some fantastic food. 10/10 if we ever make our way back to Somers, we will definitely check the availability of this place first. Thanks for a great stay.

We are avid adventurers and enjoy the great outdoors. We actively hike, cycle, boat, kayak, ski and snow shoe to name a few. We also enjoy dining out, and exploring what the area has to offer, such as local concerts, art festivals, wildlife and dragon boat races. We moved here to our forever home from the East coast years ago.

Why they chose this property

We choose this property because it's on top of a mountain with a great expansive view of the lake and the climate is dry with big open mountain and sky views. The locals are extremely friendly and we love that the area has a small town feel and lots of wildlife. We are near some great lakeside towns, a big hospital, airport and Glacier National Park.

What makes this property unique

We are very close to some other great towns like Lakeside, 5 minute drive and Bigfork, 10 minute drive, Kalispell 10 minute drive and gorgeous Glacier National Park which is a 45 minute drive, 20 minutes to a great hospital and 25 minutes to an international airport.

Kayaks, jet skis and paddle boards are available for rent at Somers Beach dock just a mile down the road from the cottage.
