Navigating the curvy gravel road to Hollow's End required careful driving but the payoff was so worth it. The property afforded plenty of space for parking. The outside is well maintained. This cabin has all the comforts of home. Upon entering there was no stale/musky smell as if it hadn't been used in a while. Someone had labeled the light switches, so we knew what switch operated what. Our son enjoyed the rec room with the pool table. Along with the pool table there is a tv and lounging area in the rec room. Although we didn't use the additional rooms in the basement (and don't let the word basement fool you they were very nice rooms and a great bathroom) there was plenty of room for everyone. The hot tub on the deck (which was very clean) had a great view.

Dont stay here
Worst experience Ive had ever. We have been renting cabins for over 5 years now and I have never seen what I saw when I arrived. Nothing was like the pictures at all. There were no outside lightbulbs. The inside didnt get any better, top part the fridge smelled really bad like someone had left something go bad for days. Bottom part the key wasnt in the lock box it was found by a child on the ground. There wasnt any safety railing on the bottom part. Going inside was worst, the sheets on the beds werent cleaned they were dirty. There were spider webs under the beds they werent cleaned, the jacuzzi was dirty also. Nothing was clean all the rooms had something wrong, we didnt even spend the night. The owner was contacted but nothinf was done about it. Worst experience ever.

The house itself was nice overall. The kids enjoyed having their own space and so did we. The driveway was very scary, nowhere to go but off the mountain if you pass someone. We all ended up with folliculitis from the hot tub probably due to the PH levels not being right.

Nice place needs a little TLC
Plenty of room. Nicely located for what we were doing. The rec room was our favorite but the pool table needs to be leveled. Not enough flatware for a larger group.

It is run down. Do not trust the pictures.
The property was safe. Warm. Had electricity and running water. That is where the positives end.
I took the extra step of even emailing vacasa to confirm the hot tub would be working. Was told it would be and it was literally filled with rocks, leaves and debris.
The game room had a dilapidated pool table that has two broken legs, no functional sticks and the felt table is destroyed. It also has a ping pong table top that has no functional net.
The place was pretty terrible. I’d never stay there again nor trust a vacasa listing. Do not believe the pictures.
Really enjoyed the stay but highly disappointed that the hot tub was full of leaves and not usable
We were all excited to have the hot ton that was one of the reasons we chose this cabin only to be disappointed that it had no water and was full of leaves.

The house was just what we were looking for our first blended family vacation. Two items to address: there was not enough silverware and place settings for everyone. If the house sleeps 8, there should be place settings for 8. I get not everyone cooks on vacation but it should be considered. Secondly the wifi...it should be clear that it's only 5 gigs to share for a week and if you get there after another family was there you are SOL. We did have a broken showerhead upon arrival, but as soon as I called someone was there in 30 minutes to replace it. Overall I was happy and would stay again.

Our stay
The booklet at the property said to let them know of any issues or damage at the property upon arrive and yet never seen a number or way to contact them. We had even took pictures but no place to send. Holes in walls from doors, a few hot tub jets not working, one toilet seat clip broken, hole in back of chair from we’re assuming the edge of the fire place.
Loved the cabin! Finding it is a little tricky, but once found you don't forget how to get to it. The cabin in far enough away from the city that you don't hear traffic, but close enough that should you need anything it's only 10 minutes away. I would definitely stay again
The dishes were dirty, the game room floor looked like it has never been mopped, the bathroom downstairs was filthy: spit/toothpaste on the mirror and faucet and shower was not cleaned, and the downstairs beds were not made, as the cleaner was still there when we arrived around 4:20ish and was saying that the last people were not supposed to be down there. Then she asked if I would put the towels in the dryer.. not that big of a deal as I had no problem doing that, but after seeing the review from before us...I just thought it should be mentioned.. The hot tub never got to temperature and I looked in the guest book that said if it needed to be refilled from the previous stay then it would take 24 hours to heat back up and that this was not cause for a refund, however, I have now seen the review from the guest before us that states that it is broken, I would like a refund on the hot tub. The shower heads were really low in the main guest rooms. I know that would be a semi difficult fix but a removable shower head isn't necessarily a fix all for that. Its hard to wash your hair with one hand.

Not the greatest experience
Upon arrival, the front door was wide open and a vacuum cleaner was lying in the middle of the living room floor. The hot tub didn’t work. There were flea like insects in the downstairs bedrooms, not to mention that the downstairs bedrooms and bathroom were more like a dungeon than a rental property. My group comes to this area every year for the same type of trip, there are far better cabins to stay in for the money in this area.
The cabin is located minutes from downtown Cherokee. It is also to it's self. Was nice and quiet. However two of the four bedrooms are outside of the main house down stairs. And the driveway is very unpaved, very steep, and there is only room for one vehicle to travel at a time. So if you meet someone on the way up or down you might have an issue. would recommend 4whl drive for rainy or snowy days.

Crazy Layout
This was a very clean, nice property. A few things though: 1) the house is broken into three sections that are not connected. I don’t know if the listing tells you this but it’s just not convenient. If you have small children they will be separated from you. You have to walk outside to go downstairs to the other bedrooms. 2) The road to access this place is CRAZY narrow. If one car is going up and another is coming down at the same time it’s going to be a BIG problem. This road was scary. 4x4 is necessary if you ask me. Idk if all mountain roads are like this?!? 3) Had trouble with the heat downstairs too. Management did give us three space heaters which we appreciated and there were lots of blankets.
Just some small things for the next family who stays.

Quiet secluded location that was centrally located to white water rafting, Cherokee and Bryson City. We had an excellent time being able to enjoy the family.
We really enjoyed our stay! The house was clean with great hot tub and rec room! I would only recommend that there at least be 2 rolls of toilet paper for each bathroom and pots and pans were not in good shape
