Just ok

Master bedroom bed squeaked, furniture was worn down and beat up, mold in shower, and smelly Kitchen. Unit needs to be brought into 2022 for the price. Great views and great location.

Destin vacation

Very good location. Really enjoyed the two pools. However, the office staff was poor. The manager was great and without his direct number stay would have been worse. The property was worn. Toilet broke, pullout couch was broke and table on outside legs was broken from rust. Regardless, great location and had all amenities we needed.

Worst room ever

This was the worst room we have stayed at in Sterling Shores. We had roaches in the room, and when I reported it I was told it is “normal in Florida”. Funny, as in all my stays, we’ve never seen them. There were no full length mirrors available, and the bathroom fixtures were dingy and dated. We always stay at Sterling Shores when we come down, but this trip has us second guessing that decision, and we will probably look for a new location next year

Good. Nice location.. Trouble with cable in main room. Calls went unanswered for assistance. Left items in unit. 28 bucks to go check it out. No call back yet on our belongings. Not a good experience in that regard. Mold in main shower over head was bad too. Front door needs a coat of paint. Elevator out all week as well. Had to do 8 flights of stairs multiple times a day. Other than that great time was had.

Sterling Shores 809 was the perfect place for our fall vacation.

From the reservation process to checkout, everything was wonderful. Our group enjoyed the views from the balcony, the lagoon pool, and the beach. We were lucky that Hurricane Ian steered clear of Destin. One suggestion would be to upgrade the kitchen cookware. We love to cook breakfast and the pans available were definitely not non-stick.

Not what it use to be, but still a nice property!

The last few visits to Sterling Shores gave us the feeling of being owned and managed by a large company.It use to feel warm and inviting with the comforts of home provided by the family who own the condo, now it feels like something is missing. The only person overseeing the needs inside the condo for the guest is probably the maid/cleaning service and it’s near impossible for her to inventory essential things that are needed but slowly become unaccounted for over time. Additional blankets, missing spatulas, towels, pillows, oven mitts, and beach stuff are no longer present. Low quality sheets and who knows how often these comforters are washed. These are noticeable things that individual owned properties seem to have plenty of. We have made many great memories at this property and believe it is a great place to stay, but we will be trying some other places that are individually owned , the way this property started.

Beautiful, clean condo!

We loved our condo! My family and I love Sterling Shores! Out of the last ten years, this condo (809) had the best view we have been had! My only recommendation for the owner is to upgrade the master bed frame. The frame is soooo squeaky. My husband and I are both light sleepers and just turning on our sides or adjusting a leg would squeak so loud. The mattress is comfortable. Some additionals blankets for the pull out sofa would be a great addition also! We are always sad to leave and we truly enjoyed this condo so much!

I Love my condo But my bed linen was not clean

The condo I was assigned to was updated inside so I was so excited but I but my mother-in-law along With me on this trip and the queen size bed in the guest room had blood are something on the bed linen so unfortunately she had to sleep in the bed with me and I called and told associate at the front desk about it and she was rude and only told me that she will bring it to housekeeping attention and I never heard anything else. Not personally at all

Didn’t want to leave

Would definitely stay here again. There was a fairly large maintenance issue, but Vacasa was extremely responsive and efficient. They always checked with me before entering the unit and was anxious to compensate us fairly for the inconvenience. The pools were clean with plenty of seating and access to the beach couldn’t be better. There’s an amazing seafood restaurant directly across the street on the beach. And the views-no words!

The Master bedroom smelled like cat urine. When we first arrived the cleaning solution was so strong it masked the smell of the cat urine. Some of the outlets didn’t work. The screen on the sliding doors was broken.The grounds of the property were beautiful

Five stars for unit #809

My family and I absolutely loved this unit. The view was breathtaking! Our home was clean and tidy and ready at check in. The pool is gorgeous my boys had a blast swimming all day. Beach access was convenient and not a far walk. Lots of good places to eat close as well. We will definitely be coming back next year.

Great stay! Loved it!!!

I absolutely loved waking up to amazing the views. I also loved that it was contactless check in and check out. I came for a weekend of relaxation and staying was very relaxing. If there was anything negative I’d say, would be to update the curtains. That’s definitely not a deal breaker for me... I’m just one who likes new/ clean looking things. I would definitely stay here again...as a matter of fact, I’m about to book for my bday. 🤩🤩🤩

Home away from home

This was our first time staying on a Vacasa Property and it won't be our last. The room was amazing and well cleaned. The shower was a little dirty, but the front desk called and said they would get maintenance to handle it quickly. The view of the beach was perfect. It was centrally located so getting throughout Destin was a breeze for our anniversary trip. Sheri at the front desk was amazing and is already in the process of helping us plan a family trip and another anniversary trip. The property was secure, quiet, and peaceful. 100% will stay there again! The room was more than amazing and definitely worth anybody's stay.
