Katarina Haus holds over 130 years of history within her walls. Upon arrival, you will truly feel like you’ve stepped back in time. The original Sunday house was built in the 1880’s on the outskirts of town where she stayed til the mid 1990’s before being relocated to downtown Fredericksburg. Part of her journey was traveling down Main Street, right through the heart of downtown to her current location where she resides today. She shows off her charm and beauty with her original chinked walls, hardwood floors, and custom woodwork. Offering all the amenities and comforts of a modern day home yet all the character and uniqueness of a century old Sunday home, Katarina Haus is truly one of a kind. Our guest can enjoy luxurious bedding, clean environment, a full equipped kitchen and plenty of outdoor relaxation. Sleeping up to 8 guests, Katarina Haus is perfect for any occasion. Whether it’s the entire bridal party, small family gatherings or a group of friends, the accommodations will be private, spacious and comfortable. Beautiful property

We enjoyed our stay at the Katarina Haus. Plenty of beds for our group of 8. Location was very convenient, only minutes away to alot of places in Fredericksburg. Would definitely stay again.

Awesome!!

Plans changed, so just my husband and I stayed, so the house was much bigger than we needed. But everything about it was so nice! We loved sitting on the porch and the location was just great! If we ever had occasion to go back to Fredricksburg, we’d try to stay here again!

Amazing House!!

We spent the weekend for a surprise proposal within our friend group! There were 8 of us that stayed in the house, and it was perfect. It wasn’t crowded, there is a nice backyard area where we could play cornhole or horseshoes, sit around the fire pit at night time, and just hang out. It was the perfect house for a perfect weekend!

Great house for group stays

We had a great time at this house. The beds were comfortable, there were plenty of extra towels and linens for everyone, and quick driving distance to all our destinations. My only complaint is the neighbor lurking around our house at night. He came into the backyard a few times while we were hanging out and watched a few members of our party while they were packing their cars to leave. I messaged the property owner, but never got a response. Otherwise, we had a great stay.

Amazing Home

This house is a must stay in Fredericksburg. On a hot day a bit of a walk but not bad. Plenty of parking for oversized vehicles. The backyard is a great place to hangout. Definitely will stay again.

The house was absolutely beautiful. Everything was comfortable and relaxing

It was everything the pictures shown and more, my friends and I had a blast hanging out in the hot tube and the beautiful patio set up. We all got to have fun as a group but also escape to different parts like the up stairs porch or the hammock or down stairs porch to get some peach and personal relaxation. When we did need something the home owner was fast to respond and get things handled! Definitely staying here again!!!

Such a cute historic home!

My only complaint is that I did message the owner once during the week leading up to my reservation and she never responded. The house is so cute and was the perfect weekend getaway. A super short drive to main st…but definitely too far to walk (especially in the summer). The master bed and bath is it’s own oasis.

Charming stay in Fredericksburg

The house absolutely perfect for my family of three. We loved the architecture with its mix of historic charm and modern accents. The exposed wood and stone walls surrounding a beautiful deep soaker tub was a nice touch. It was a bit of a walk to main street, but doable on a nice day. It was a great location for little kids, being next to a park with a playground. I double checked with the host and they assured me they allowed kids even though the listing says they don't. Highly recommend this place for families looking for a cozy place to stay in Fredericksburg.

This was for my 50th bday!

This was the best weekend!! The house is very clean and so inviting. Even down to the details.. face masks, bath salts, shampoo, coffee pods, water, all things you can think of! We loved it!!

Amazing Time

This property was perfect for my friends bachelorette party. The property was beautiful and had plenty of space for everyone to fit comfortably. The hot tub was easy to use and spacious. I would recommend this property to anyone going to Fredericksburg.

This property was great for a girls weekend. It was exactly as described. The air conditioning worked very well, even in the upstairs area, which is important in the middle of Texas summer. The outside areas were gorgeous. We would definitely stay again!

Fredericksburg charm

Soon as we arrived we felt welcomed. Entry was smooth and super simple. Katarina Haus was such a delight! Decor, comfy beds, soft fresh linens, beautiful bathrooms and porches perfect for visiting or relaxing after a long day walking through shops in Fredericksburg. Also a hot tub and fire pit out back. This place was perfect and totally charming! Looking forward to our next visit!

Hill Country cycling

The Katarina House was absolutely a perfect fit for the 3 couples/6 adults in our party. In addition to the KH being so very quaint, the front porches & backyard patio areas were simply relaxing after a day of cycling. The KH has numerous seating arrangements aroung the house but especially liked the large tables with benches, inside & out! Hot tube was a fantastic plus! Location was quiet and convenient to most things the city has to offer.Lastly, I can't say enough about all the little perks/conveniences of this home. John & Janice have it stocked with thinks such as dish soap, body soap & shampoo as well as laundry soap! Coffee, creamers, bottled water were made avail to us and we so appreciated not having to buy all these small items. I would highly recommend this rental to anyone!
