Family visit

We were greeted by a deer and her baby as soon as we pulled up to property. She visited us the next morning during coffee also. Although NC in summer is hot and humid we still had our morning coffee on deck enjoy the sounds of nature from the vast amount of trees. The home itself was inviting and full if plants. It was nice after visiting our children and grandchildren to return to such a peaceful beautiful home. I had issue with hot water and the host not only emailed me the solution they called to make sure it was working!! If I could give 100 stars I would!!

Good get away .

Very private in the woods. Enjoyed watching the deer and turkey as well as the various birds and squirrels. Nice place to relax, with no disturbance with vehicles or personnel. No worries of vehicle being broken into or gas being stole. .

This is a great property and very well kept. Lots of amenities to enjoy and well stocked. Enjoyed the Kuerig coffee supplied by host and Hot Tub is great even in Jan Winter!

Nice area and grounds.

We really enjoyed the stay; the location and yard/grounds were great and serene. We could not use the BBQ because there was a dead mouse in it. Guess that happens since it’s outdoors. Inside, the insulation was blowing through the floor vents… definitely needs some work there. If someone was sitting on a particular chair, it would have landed all over them.

Isolated getaway

My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at your place. All the plants, both inside and out, were quite appealing. The iris that were blooming were just beautiful. We enjoyed watching the turkey and other birds at the feeders. The house was very clean and well equipped. This is a spot we will likely revisit!

Getaway to the Green Hills of Rutherfordton

Great place to visit - very clean inside and out- wonderful garden and landscaping even though January we could see it was nicely set up. Many indoor plants and the decks / patios have lots of containers that serve as planters. can't wait to come back soon.

BEAUTIFUL!!!

This was the most beautiful place we have ever stayed! Deer come almost to the back deck. There was amost anything you wanted provided. It was excellent. We definitely want to stay again.

Relaxing, very accommodating, very well appointed, peaceful, nature, spring flowers, great hosts!

This home was exactly what we needed awaiting the birth of our second grandchild. We tended to the three year old during her Mom and Dad’s hospital stay for the new baby. The little one was absolutely delighted with the outdoors here. So very comfortable!, in a very beautiful and quiet setting! We stayed about 2 weeks, and honestly if time permitted, could have stayed longer. Definitely a 5 star plus, in our book! A great big Thank You to the owners for sharing this home!

Home Away From Home

Our whole experience with renting this property was positive . Initially there were challenges with payment as VRBO did not accept Discover . The host was very accommodating . He always responded promptly to text or emails. Our stay was pleasant. The host pays attention to detail at this rental.

Awesome seclusion!

Really nice property! Everything was clean and being on 27 acres was nice for us to go on walks with our dog. You really feel immersed in nature with all the plants and wildlife. We plan on visiting again!

Beyond Peaceful!

What can I say that other's haven't already said about this peaceful abode in the middle of nature? The property was just lovely. We were greeted by three young deer upon our arrival, and the owners left us corn, apples, and bird seed to feed the animals. The deer were consistent visitors, early morning and evening, but the turkeys were a little more elusive - we only saw them a few times. The house was super clean and had everything you'd need (except a hot tub on the deck after a long day of hiking Chimney Rock - ha ha :-)) Seriously, everything was supplied, from laundry detergent, shampoo, soap, hair dryer, iron, ironing board, hangers - all you need to do is bring yourself and your food! We love the area and would definitely stay here again! Thank you Jay for a lovely stay.

7 Days in Paradise

This visit was so perfect and ideal for an easy going weeks vacation in the foothills. Sitting on the back porch gives one the feeling that only Mother Nature can give. Relaxation. Spiritual healing. And it’s just a garden of Eden. The yard and porches just make you become one with Morher Nature. The owner provides every imaginable luxury you might want. It is prestine inside and out. Our second visit and will be back for more.

Perfect and oh so much more, HIGHLY recommend.

We wanted R&R and wow did this home hit the jack pot. Very clean, spacious, and private. Heard the birds, saw the deer & turkeys and never heard a single neighbor or car. A wonderful welcome gift basket awaited us, even a bouquet of fresh gladiolas. A full notebook of area businesses and emergency numbers was appreciated. I loved everything about this vacation home and will definitely return if I am in the area. Would rate a 10 if available. Thank you for sharing your little bit of heaven.

Beautiful property

If you love peace and quiet then this is the place to go. Nothing but you and 27 acres. Loved watching the deer every day. This was my second time staying there and I will definitely go back again

Solace!

For those looking for a real retreat we were so pleased with the acreage and all the little surprises in the garden area. A very restful place away from the crowds. Enjoyed feeding the deer and turkey in the back yard!

Beautiful Country Living

This place was spotlessly clean and just gorgeous. The home is modern and new and has everything anyone could want. The outside flower gardens are so tranquil and gorgeous. The whole yard is worth walking around. It’s not too far from Rutherfordton. And we loved it. Going back again hopefully in spring.
