Good concept, fell short of expectations. I would try Kasa again at a different location
The layout and space was just sufficient for a small family. I liked the two bathrooms, full kitchen, and in-unit laundry. The location is great for driving places, but terrible for pedestrians. I would not stay here with a dog who needs walks. All the side streets are private and closed to pedestrians.
The issues with the unit were annoying enough thst I would not go vack to this particular Kasa again. The walls and windows are so thin its like being in a tent. The cookware was is in such bad condition that it was dangerous. The handles of pans were broken, the metal pealed off into our food, and the tongs were broken. We were not provided enough blankets and towels for everyone in our unit, although extra towels were brought the next evening, but not blankets. There were other things also not stocked, like toilet paper and dishwasher detergent that we bought ourselves. The whole place smelled strongly of weed, too. This really upset my kids. And we had an unfortunate unit placement, above the dumpster, the garage door, and the elevator and garage chute were behind our headboard. Other tenants above us were loud. And the blinds barely dimmed the east morning sun that our unit faced. So we had really poor sleep and my husband, who was trying to teach chemical engineering from the unit was exceedingly annoyed. Aldo, the 6” floor drain in the bathroom was off, so there is a significant hole in the floor, the toilet base had pee and dust on it, and the shower leaked all over the floor.
So while each of these issues might be insignificant on its own, they added up to a great annoyance that definitely detracted from our experience of this unit. I fo like the concept and layout, but the quality of this building was not high. The manager was very pleasant when texting, but housekeeping follow through wasn’t there. Maybe this is normal in St Louis. I would try the other Kasa in St Louis instead, though.
