Wakulla Springs State Park and St. Marks Wildlife Refuge are just minutes away.
Staying at Lewiswood Retreat will give you the opportunity to get away from the crowds and enjoy our quiet country setting.
It is large enough for 6 people. Enjoy the outdoors on the screened back porch or front porch while you enjoy your morning coffee. Listen to the birds and watch for the rabbits that live around us. Hopefully, you will see the white tail deer that are our neighbors. A grill is available for outside cooking.
Before we approve your pet, we must know your pet's breed, age and size and if he/she will be on good behavior if you have to leave him/her alone in the Retreat? A pet fee for 1 pet will be $50. charged upon approval. Any additional pets will be $50. per stay. Our concern is that your pet is safe and so is our Retreat.
The Retreat has a large dining room and fully equipped kitchen with the things you would need to cook a full meal. Three bedrooms and two bathrooms.
If you have time to do some sightseeing, Wakulla Springs which has one of the world's largest spring is just a short drive of about 10 minutes away as is St. Marks Wildlife Refuge which is known for a large variety of birds. It is listed as one of the 50 best places in the world to go birding. The Tallahassee to St. Marks Bike Trail is minutes away as is Natural Bridge which was the site of the Civil War Battle. Escape the cold and come south for the winter.
Come to Lewiswood to escape the bitter cold of the North. Spend your days enjoying the outdoors rather than staying indoors. So many outdoor things to do where social distancing will not be a problem. We recently had a family stay with us for ten days from Colorado. Each morning they were up and out of the house by 8:00 to go birding. Our Part of the state still has lots of room to roam. We love our retired quests who are staying healthy by enjoying the great outdoors. We look forward to welcoming new visitors and our repeat guests, all the best in this new year.

The property was very clean. The setting was very nice and quiet out in the country but only 20 minutes to Tallahassee in 10 minutes to the river. Great location very peaceful quiet evenings on the porch.
Floyd and Carolyn are amazing hosts! We had some glitches with our trip from Colorado and they were very accomodating and gracious. The “retreat” we stayed in was well kept, well stocked and is located in a beautiful rural setting. We will definitely stay there again!!
The place was cleaned and stocked with everything we needed for our stay. I had had excellent communication with the Owner Floyd. I Highly recommended. Would definitely stay here in the future if I am in the area. Rafael and Sandra
Great location to visit a couple of great Florida parks!
The rental was located in a quiet area. It was a nice place to stay for a long weekend. I think there needs to be more lighting in the dinning area and the sunken bedroom. A few of the electrical outlets need to be repaired.
Overall it was a good place to stay!
Noothing beatsthis location and the hostess was lovely
Woodville is utterly gorgeous with lush green trees everywhere and the property was divine. Plenty of room to stretch your legs.
My mom got to see 6 deer. We both saw colorful, cheerful birds.
Carolyn, our host, was extremely accommodating to my dad who is wheelchair bound. She had 2 ramps built for him.
Carolyn made us feel quite welcomed and any issue that came up was resolved quickly.
We enjoyed our stay and are so grateful to have been introduced to beautiful, serene Woodville.
Clean and comfortable little spot. There was 5 of us plus a small pup. Great country location with plenty to do within 30-60 min drive. Owners were very helpful with a sense of humor which is nice. It is out in the county with woods backing up to the property so you’ll experience everything that goes along with that. The screened porch was great for evening sitting. We saw lightning bugs and armadillos. Thanks for a great stay!

FSU Family weekend
A few issues which were resolved (my husband was able to fix) and overall the kitchen cabinets very cluttered with leftover food, etc and feel like this should all be cleaned out. The back porch is pretty but big hose just sitting next to washer/dryer- was not as picturesque as advertised. Could definitely be nicer with some of these issues resolved.
Floyd and Carolyn are great hosts and very easy to communicate with. The retreat is very quaint, well kept and came with everything we needed for our stay. I will definitely stay there again! Thank you Floyd and Carolyn for your warm hospitality!! GO NOLES!!
Our group thoroughly enjoyed our stay! We found that it was well equipped with everything we needed and very clean! Definite plans to return in the future! Thanks, Mrs. Adams, for making us feel welcome!
We enjoyed our time very much. Carolyn was a great host! Country setting was nice and quiet!!

Memorial Day Weekend Trip
We needed a place to stay while visiting our daughter in Tallahassee. Hotels are very expensive close to FSU and not very homey. It was nice to find a place close enough to town, but far enough away from the college hustle and bustle. Carolyn was very accommodating and easy to work with. She even asked the age of our son so she could put extra personal touches in the place that were age appropriate! The retreat had everything we needed including a fenced in backyard for our two dogs. Thank you Carolyn and Floyd!
