Welcome to our River Street Retreat in the charming Village of Spring Lake! Our two-story - 1,900 SF vacation home built in 1915 has been recently restored to its original charm. Whether you are staying with us for a family vacation or a highly anticipated couples’ weekend, we think you’ll find our property to be the perfect location with all the desired amenities.

This completely furnished three-bedroom, two-bath home accommodates seven guests comfortably.

Our home boasts a fully updated kitchen making meal prep for your group a breeze, multiple living spaces, a large formal dining room and a great outdoor space for entertaining. The dining room exits through french doors into a furnished covered deck and outdoor area complete with a stainless-steel grill. Relax with family and friends in the private, fully fenced backyard.

You’ll find the home fully equipped with all bedding, kitchenware, linens, paper goods and toiletries. A washer and dryer are also available for your use. As a bonus you’ll find movies, books, board games and wi-fi to offset any rainy days during your stay.

Perfect space for family friendly fun!

We loved our stay! Some highlights from our group: the walking friendly neighborhood, restaurant recommendations from the host, the gas fire pit and covered back porch, and the cozy family room! Very hospitable and clean. Catholic Church within walking distance was awesome!

Wonderful Experience

Great property, very convenient location while still on a quiet street allowing rest without noise. Super close to an amazing playground at the local school. Clean, neat, tons of beds, tastefully decorated, great appliances and HVAC. I would absolutely recommend.

Lovely Home

They thought of everything!

My family came in to town to spend just shy of a month. They came in to a paradise! Everything was set for them and they lacked nothing! There were things my family hadn't thought to bring and were surprised to see it in the cabinets! Coffee, laundry, snow salt, and more! What a beautiful home and perfect hosts!

Perfect match!!

We stayed at River Street Retreat over our kids hockey weekend and it was the perfect match for us. Communication with Brianne was great, fast responses, home was immaculately clean and beautifully renovated. I especially enjoyed the primary bathrooms soaking tub! The kitchen was fully equipped for our morning breakfasts and we loved the breakfast bar area. If we come back for hockey, we hope to stay here again!

Rainy getaway

Despite the weather, we had a great stay at River Street Retreat. The house was well located for quick trips to Holland and Muskegon between the periods of rain. We were able to get in a great hike at Coast Guard Park (Thank you for the suggestion, Bri!) Overall a good trip and would book again next time we're in the area.

Nice place with a good location

Good spot for young and old alike. The location was great for all our Grand Haven, Spring Lake, Muskegon adventures. We had a great experience with the property owners and timely responses.

Beautiful home great location

This home was everything we hoped for. Great location, big yard, all the amenities we could want. Room for everyone and it included lots of bonus features. Beds were very comfortable, everything was clean and all the furniture was nice. The kitchen is large and perfect for all our needs. Property owner was great and quick to respond

Spring Lake Gem

This was a nicely furnished old home in a blissfully quiet neighborhood. We prefer Spring Lake to Grand Haven so we were happy to discover this place. It's way more comfy than the various condos are available.

Excellent place to stay

The property was well maintained and house was clean and well kept. Location was excellent for our purposes, and close to anything we needed. The house was cozy (just like being at home). We enjoyed our stay and would not hesitate to book again (planning next trip and hope to stay again).

Love it!

This is an exceptional property! It is clean, cute, and cozy, as well as equipped with all the essentials and more. There was plenty of room for my family of six to spread out and make ourselves at home. The location is a nice quiet neighborhood and just a couple miles to downtown Grand Haven. I would highly recommend this property.

Good base for fishing trip

Walking distance to restaurants. Short drive to fishing charter. Should make the front room a bedroom and add a shower to the upstairs bath. Still a great place with comfortable beds.

Michigan cottage

The house is very cute and homey. We absolutely loved staying here. The upstairs was a little warm to sleep in, but was helped by putting fans in or in front of windows. We loved having the fire pit for gathering around in the evening and making s’mores. Many great memories were made this trip. We would stay here again.

Incredible House!!

We LOVED our stay here!!! We spend time researching new locations every year and this one tops the list! Incredibly clean, comfortable beds, great location, cute back porch - this house really has it all. Our 2 young boys loved the upstairs bedroom and the beautiful tub was a hit! One of our favorite places :) A safe bet for an excellent time!

Family Wedding

We stayed at this location for a family wedding in Grand Haven. The property works very well for families. The upstairs has a nice sitting area between the two bedrooms. The outdoor space is exceptionally nice and great for dining, relaxing, or having a nice fire. All of the amenities were as mentioned in the listing. We would highly recommend this property.

Spring Lake VRBO Review

Charming house is a very pleasant neighborhood

This is lovely, comfortable house in a very nice neighborhood. The neighborhood is like something out of the 1950s, friendly people, kids playing, not much traffic. And it's very close to downtown Spring Lake, well within walking distance if you're so inclined. The owners are very friendly and communicative. We were using it as a base for cycling trips and it is proved to be everything we could want.
