Premier location in Historic Downtown! This charming and cozy 1 bedroom is located just 1 block from Resurrection Bay, the Sea Life Center and downtown shops and restaurants. We are one of Sewards Historic buildings and part of the Historic walking tour. This rental has been renovated to provide modern amenities, but we kept some of the historic charm. Studio style with queen bed, private bath, sitting/sleeping area, full kitchen and outdoor area. Free Shuttle and walking path 1 block away
Location is the key! Heart of downtown, but on a quiet street, you are walking distance to almost everything!
This charming, but small, apartment is 1 block from Resurrection Bay, the Sea Life Center and 1 street over from downtown shops and restaurants. This is one of Sewards oldest buildings and originally a boarding house from the old railroad days. Come stay and be part of Seward's history. Speaking of history, we are right behind the museum/library.
This rental i s on ground level and has been renovated, but we kept some of the historic charm. The size is approximately the same as a standard hotel room, but we provided a lot more amenities and a LOT more affordable. It is a studio style with queen super comfy bed, closet, full kitchen, bathroom with walk-in shower and a seating/sleeping area. Sofa folds down to full size bed. Add the memory foam topper from the closet for maximum comfort. There are blinds and blackout curtains to help you get a restful nights sleep. This apartment is in a building housing 7 units, so quiet hours are a must. Tv is streaming with free WIFI boasting highest speed available with unlimited data. Outside area has gazebo seating, sunny seating and outdoor table. Charcoal grill provided.

Experiencing Seward before Cruising Alaska

Awesome location and perfect accommodations! Shelly was really helpful on some restaurant suggestions and was able to get me into the unit early so I could explore Seward during my 24-hour stay. If I’m back in Seward, I hope to be a repeat guest at Shelly’s place.

This place was perfect for our 3 day stay. Walking distance to many restaurants and the Alaska Sea Life Center. Short drive to the docks where you can take a cruise around Resurrection Bay. Kitchen area was just enough to make easy morning coffee and breakfast. If we ever come back to Seward would definitely stay there again.

This studio is in a perfect spot! Beautifully decorated and in the middle of everything! Wish we had longer and could have done 2 nights. The host was very responsive and helpful!

This property is in the best location in Seward! Walking distance from just about everything - a block from the Seward sea life center, restaurants, walking trail, etc. Free parking right out front, too. Cute studio apartment with a comfy bed and futon. Our family of 4 really enjoyed staying here.

Very cute, nicely decorated studio apt in a great Seward location. Shops, restaurants and the aquarium are all within a few blocks. The harbor is about 1.5 miles away, you can walk the trail along the bay or catch a ride on the free shuttle.

Great studio!

The studio is perfect for a couple. First: location was 10/10. The town of Seward is tiny so everything was within 5 min driving but there was also plenty within 5 min walking distance of the apartment too! The unit itself was plenty big for 2 people for a few days. The kitchen was stocked and had what we needed. The bathroom was simple but functional. The shower was a little small if you’re over 6 foot tall but we had plenty of hot water and that’s what we care more about! Very comfy and cozy for us, we. Enjoyed our stay!

Wonderful place

Our host was able to get us in early which worked out very well for us. The host is very responsive and easy to communicate with. It was very clean and a great space. The couch with the foam topper was very comfortable. This space is right by downtown and not far from a free shuttle stop. Noise from the upstairs apartment was a little bothersome but not that bad.

Love Alaska and the great outdoors. We have wonderful friends in Seward and decided to become a part of this amazing community. Matt and I re both from the Midwest - MN and IA. We met in Denver and moved to Alaska in 2002. We absolutely love traveling and being hosts, mostly to share stories and adventures. When we get a chance to talk with our guests, it renews our love for our home and community. We are so blessed. We want to share this blessing with everyone.

Why they chose this property

Because it’s part of Alaska History. it is one of the oldest buildings in Seward and we loved the history and the possibilities to bring it back to life. We have worked hard to provide a nice clean quaint and quiet place to stay. We have local residents in the building who you may run into out and about. Some are born and raised in Seward!!

What makes this property unique

This property is very unique. It is one of Seward's oldest buildings build in either 1905 or 1906. It was a boarding house to the railroad workers in the early 1900's. It survived the 1964 earthquake tsunami. In 2017, we bought this run down virtually empty building and spent every weekend for 6 years coming down from Anchorage and renovating the entire place. Just my husband and I. We have finally moved to Seward and love this amazing community. We hope you love what we have done to restore history.
