The Yellowstone Mountain lodge is wonderful. The view is impressive, the lodge clean, big and cozy. We were able to get immediate responses to any questions.
Only two concerns- the dining room chairs are very uncomfortable and the drive from the highway is long, dusty and graveled. The good news about the drive is that we were able to see plenty of wildlife.
Our family of 7 stayed here for my husband’s birthday. It was our first time visiting Montana. This cozy cabin was clean, spacious, and decorated beautifully. The view from the porch was spectacular. The host did an incredible job accommodating our needs and was very responsive. If we come back, we would stay here again!
The house was cozy yet had plenty of room for our party of 6. The view was amazing! After turning off the highway the road to the house was long but totally worth it. It was perfect accommodations for our vacation in Montana and Yellowstone!
If you want a great view, the chance to see wildlife and stars along with incomparable quiet reasonably close to Yellowstone National Park this is the place for you. The only drawback is a pretty rugged dirt road up the mountain. It takes time and patience but the views all the way up are spectacular so the trip up and down its own adventure. Great Mexican food in zLovingston an added plus!
5 stars
Beautiful setting high in the hills above the Yellowstone River with great views to the west and north. Lots of wildlife (elk, fox and grouse from the deck). Plenty of room. Kitchen well appointed for cooking which was nice as the house is 8 gravel road miles from the highway. The only drawback was with the bridge out, the detour adds four miles of gravel and four miles of paved road to the journey from Gardiner.
It would have been nice to know about the bridge prior to getting the directions just before the stay.
It is so hard to know exactly what you are getting when you live in one state and rent a home in another. This property is very much the best of Montanan if you want to see wild life. Be secluded and have peace and quiet. The drive is about 1.5 hours out of Bozeman and 20 minutes of that was going up the mountain to the house. If the North Gate to Yellowstone would have been open you are only about 45 minutes from this house to the park. The views are breathtaking and because you can see so far literally change every 10 minutes. The valley is very quiet and full of wildlife. The home has three great bedrooms, a great kitchen and a wonderful deck. We really enjoyed our stay.
This beautiful cabin nestled 28 minutes up the mountain surrounded by wilderness and mountain views. It was quiet, peaceful and had amazing sunrises. We loved the wrap around porch, grilling out and beautiful log architecture. ❤️
The owner was great to work with. Due to the flooding the north entrance of Yellowstone was closed and they allowed us to alter the length of our stay after the deadline had passed. The driveway was long and a little rough but the views from the cabin were well worth it. Really enjoyed our stay.
Great beautiful views of Paradise Valley from the Mountain Side location. Wild elk grassed right out side the kitchen window one evening. Bedrooms on three levels worked well for our expanded family, providing appropriate level of separation. Lodge has everything needed to have an enjoyable time with your family!
Beautiful setting, secluded, rich with wild life right out the window (we watched the elk in the morning and listened to them bugle In the evening) If you like to hike you can hike from the cabin right into the national forest land that is adjacent. You can have your meals out on the deck and overlook the entire valley. The only draw back is the road to access is a forest road and a few parts are a little rough. We had a Subaru which worked just fine but you may want to consider a higher clearance vehicle. And the 3.5 mile road can take up to a half hour to travel and gets a little slick with the rain. (But this is what adds to the remote experience) We had a wonderful time and our family enjoyed your property.
Very nice place. The property manager responded very quickly to a problem with two bathroom doors.
Property itself was very nice. As advertised there was wildlife on the property including bears and elk. The road to the property was terrible! It took over 20 minutes to go about 3 miles from the highway to the property due primarily to the roughness in the road. I would not recommend taking a low clearance car up the road.
What a great experience for our family. This is a spacious log home with amazing views and privacy. The home is located up in the mountains with great proximity to the north entrance of Yellowstone. There was plenty of room for the kids and adults along with space to play games outside. The views are amazing! The property has everything you'll need and the host was always available by text to answer any questions.
Stunning beauty in a family home. So thankful for the family memories made. Can't wait to come back again in the future. Nature, Peace, Joy, everywhere you look. Everything you could ever need was provided and the views were priceless. Thank you for sharing your amazing home with our family.
