Redwoods. Ocean. Escape.

This vacation home offers the best of both worlds: a place to relax and a location to explore nature. Located on a quiet cul de sac, the house features decks that offer a view down a redwood canyon to the ocean. (The Point Reyes peninsula is visible on a clear day!) Listen for the barking of the seals or the whistle of an osprey as it glides overhead with a fish.

A short drive takes you to some of the most spectacular hikes and beaches on the California coast, including Stillwater Cove, Fort Ross, and Salt Point State Park (known for mushroom foraging).

The fully supplied kitchen features a pantry stocked with the basics such as coffee, spices, sugar, and rice. Bring your own groceries and cook, head down the hill to a nearby restaurant, or take the spectacular drive to Gualala for a variety of dining options.

Our guests have told us (and we agree) that the stay is wonderful rain or shine. The bookshelves feature a variety of reading materials, games, DVDs and videos. In case that isn't enough, we also have internet access!

Amazing Weekend Getaway
This place is truly comfort and relaxation. The photos do not do this place justice. Overlooking redwoods, cozy fire place and minutes away from the ocean it’s a nice little weekend getaway you do not want to miss out on! Minutes away from sea ranch and the cutest towns, there’s a ton to do if you want to! If not, the house is perfect for the ultimate relaxation.

Lovely spot in the woods off the main road - really feels "out there" away from it all in a great way. Beautiful, unique house with amazing windows and redwood forest setting, just a minute from the coast.

We loved our stay. Spent the week reading, binging on Netflix, taking walks, eating, etc. The house was clean and well-stocked with just about everything you'd need. We'd stay again in a heartbeat! We especially noticed how fresh the bed linens were. I didn't have my usual allergic reaction to dust mites. Yay! Thank you, thank you, thank you

Redwood and Pacific Escape!
Serene and much needed relaxation! So quiet and tranquil, Timber Cove right down the way if you want to be on the water for some peaceful lullaby waves crashing. Linda is a wonderful host. House is fully stocked. 100% recommended and will be staying again! Thank you Linda!

High Value Getaway on the Sonoma Coast
We loved our stay. The home had everything we needed and the location for the price on a holiday weekend was a huge value. One note is that the home has only 1 working shower-- keep this in mind for group trips.

Peaceful getaway
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Timber Cove. Surrounded by trees, it’s the perfect peaceful getaway for enjoying the spectacular coastline. The house was very clean, comfortable and well equipped. We loved sitting on the deck overlooking the treetops and sipping our freshly ground Ethiopian coffee which was provided by our host. Linda was so welcoming and very helpful. We would definitely stay here again.

Relaxing retreat
This was our second stay here and we loved it! Very efficient, comfortable and easy to access. The house is nestled in the trees and we enjoyed a variety of birds sounds. We enjoyed the Strawberry moon through the many large windows and enjoyed the sun on the deck. The kitchen is well stocked even though we didn’t cook. We had a great time!

Wonderful Quiet Retreat in the Woods
Our most recent stay here was excellent. The property is well maintained and the kitchen is stocked with everything you will need. The owner is responsive and great to work with. We have been here several times and it is our go to place when we want a quiet and restful place up in the coastal woods; yet still be close enough to drive to the many coves and beaches along Highway 1. We highly recommend it for anyone looking for a quiet and peaceful place in the woods. Five Stars for sure!

Delightful getaway
We love staying at this hidden gem - the location is secluded, just up the hill from Timber Cove Lodge. We love having a full kitchen, as this area of the coast has no nearby restaurants other than Timber Cove Lodge itself. We attended an event at Fort Ross, so it was the perfect location. The bed was comfortable, the kitchen is well stocked with pots & pans and appliances. The bathtub on main floor was just wonderful after a day hiking. It's always a treat to come to this place. It was just us two, but would be very comfortable for two couples, or a family.

A great value for a family. Not much to do outside of property, unless you drive. Views are sparse, mostly wooded. Host could not be contacted when lock code did not work. No cell service, so had to find available network. Emergency # did not answer. Finally was contacted by Host and told the lock code was for previous user. Oops. Lost an hour plus and the stress to get in. Other than that...best coffee I ever had.

Beautiful comfortable home
Clean well-appointed property with nice touches, in the redwoods! All the comforts of home in spacious surroundings, except the technology - if you’re hooked on it, beware! We arrived just after an area-wide power outage, we had spotty cell/internet/wifi service throughout our five day stay, and no tv. It’s a very remote area. Come stocked with food. Limited restaurants. We were there visiting family with a ranch in the area; at first we couldn’t even contact them. Host was responsive but not much can be done. We enjoyed a meal or two at Timber Cove Inn. Supermarket 20 miles north in Gualala. Nearby Fort Ross is interesting. Stunning scenery up and down the coast.

Awesome hideaway in the Redwoods!
Very cute and spacious house in the redwoods and close to the ocean. We were here during a big storm but still had an amazing time watching the trees sway in the wind. Big kitchen/dining room with huge windows. Pet friendly as well, our old little pup had a blast too! Close to Timber Cove Lodge which has great ocean views/dining/drinks.

We had a really nice time at the house. We found it spacious and well outfitted. And clean. It’s in a beautiful spot surrounded by trees and at night there are 1 million stars. The location is perfect for the area attractions. We will definitely rent again

Ideal in Every Way
This stay was one of my best-ever rental experiences. The location is wonderful, nestled in the redwoods but close enough to the shore to see, smell and even hear the sea. Both of the bedrooms are super comfortable, and the shower in the master is unforgettable. I've never seen in a more well stocked kitchen (including my own lol). The host has also provided so much useful info, including sights and special things to do. For example, we followed Linda's advice to visit the Sea Ranch non-denominational Chapel and were so very moved. Have been visiting this area our whole lives and missed it. Back to the house, the lower level living area was our favorite spot, with forest views, comfy couches and fireplace. This was a getaway for two busy sisters and it was the house that made our so rich and experience unforgettable. We will be back!
