Beautiful view, comfy condo!

My husband and I had a wonderful time at this Beech Mountain place: it's just the right size for two people and the view over the mountains from the back porch is tremendous! We would certainly stay here again - hopefully soon!

Quick ski trip

The place was very clean, easy to find, great location from the ski resort, check in was simple. The only reason it wasn’t 5 star, there was a problem with the internet when we arrived, I finally just unplugged it and plugged it back in, and was no problems after that. I would recommend this for a great stay.

What a perfect weekend getaway! The location is perfect, even if you aren't skiing. Wonderful views, property is ideal for a quick getaway. We would not hesitate to book again!

Beautiful Mountain View

Such an awesome place. Carrie supplied everything we could possibly need. Really great location, right next to the ski resort and municipal sledding hill. I would recommend driving to Blowing Rock/Boone for dinner if you’re foodies like us. Worth the drive!Be prepared to stop for ski resort traffic on weekends.

Beautiful time at the Cardinal’s Nest

The Cardinal’s Nest was beautiful. Carrie had it completely stocked with all the pots and pans we needed. We also loved making popcorn in the popcorn maker for a warm treat. The views were stunning and it was within walking distance of the ski resort. Plenty of blankets for the cold nights, we didn’t even run the heater on high. Only thing is I would add a map to show where we go to get to the resort, first time we accidentally turned early and went down a private staircase. We will definitely be back again!!

Cardinal’s Nest is a treat!

We had a great stay at the Cardinal’s Nest! It was the perfect spot for our family of four and our chocolate lab! Carrie was great and very responsive and helpful in managing all of our needs and requests. It was exactly what we were looking for and when we head back to Beech Mountain we will definitely seek out this property to stay again! Can’t beat the location and proximity to Beech Mountain, Banner Elk, and Grandfather Mountain! Thanks again, Carrie!

Weekend at Oz

Great place for a weekend, visit to Oz or ski. Nice and clean, good setup with everything you coul need in kitchen and bath. Great view. Close to local eateries.

Quiet mountain retreat

The Cardinal’s Nest is a wonderful mountain retreat! The property is welcoming and equipped with everything you need—including dog toys and dog dishes! The hiking in the area is great and Beech Mountain is dog friendly. We saw deer, bears, skunks, and lots of songbirds. The balcony was a beautiful place to sit and just enjoy the views. We will definitely return at a future date.

Beech Mountain Condo with View

Very well appointed condo. Kitchen had everything needed and many extras. Even included coffee, spices, wine. Games available. View from the balcony was limited but nice and had comfortable seating. Quiet neighborhood. Located near a few Beech Mtn restaurants and shops and 13 minutes to Banner Elk for more choices. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay in the cool mountain air.

The view!

Perfect Ski Getaway

My wife was anxious about her first ski trip, and this cozy condo certainly helped take away from her anxiety! As we entered, she was taken aback from the tremendous view from the back porch. She also loved how cozy everything was, inside, down to the little details, like the adorable throw pillows on the bed. Carrie was great to work with, and we look forward to returning!

Comfy mountain condo minutes from slopes

We had a wonderful stay at Cardinals Nest condo! Loved all the birds and deer we saw while there. Everything was so clean and comfy and perfect for a short getaway. Carrie provided us an early check in upon our request and was very pleasant to work. Communication was great and seamless. Condo has a beautiful porch view of the mountains and was just a 10 minute walk from ski resort so we didn't have to worry about the stress with parking. We definitely plan on returning!!

Christmas Magic

The Cardinal’s Nest was a perfect stay! The location was beautiful & pleasantly located near Beech Mountain. Our boys (14 & 12) were able to see snow for the first time & watching them learn to ski, have snowball fights & build a snowman was magical! Carrie made the stay even more magical by having Santa visit prior to our stay, complete with a decorations & a Christmas tree! We were even able to take a 30 minute drive to TN to go on a UTV tour (which I highly recommend). And we found our favorite restaurant right next to Beech, Mile High Tavern. Their food was really good, they had a pool table, giant Jenga, large checkers & a fabulous staff! Carrie stayed in communication with me prior to our arrival & even checked on us a few days in. We are already talking about our next trip!!

Enjoyable Getaway

Cardinal's Nest was the perfect place for us to enjoy a week of hiking, relaxing and exploring new places in the NC Mountains. It had everything we needed for our stay and we especially loved the "Whirley Pop" popcorn maker so much, we will need to purchase one for our home. The weather was perfect during the day and cooled down in the evenings a but requiring a jacket to enjoy the deck and beautiful views from the cabin. Carrie was a pleasure and her response was quick with any questions.

Perfect for us

This condo is so well done. It had everything we needed down to the shampoo on the wall in the shower. Everything was very clean, bed was super comfortable. We stayed on Beech Mountain the whole weekend and were able to visit a few restaurants and go hiking. There was no need to venture to other towns unless we wanted to.

Perfect Getaway

The property is wonderful! So clean, had great communication with the owners and the welcome book is very helpful. The bed was comfortable and our fur babies even played with the toys they have in a basket available for dogs. The fridge is mini so don’t plan on bringing a bunch of refrigerated items but I’m sure in the winter you could stick things out on the patio! Would definitely recommend.

Easy walk to the ski slopes

This was our second stay at this property. Our walk to the ski resort was beautiful with plenty of deer to accompany us along our way. The host is super-friendly. Check in and out is as easy and can be.
