Definitely meant for a one night stay, can sleep up to 4 but there is no room for storage or to put more than 2 people in the room. No tv. Shower head is HORRIBLE! It was cute and perfect for one night.

Not a brand new lodge
You can definitely tell it’s not a new cabin like it’s listed as. It’s definitely been renovated recently but the title is misleading. Also the view from this room is just a dirt hill.

For the most part, it is a unique fishing lodge…Don’t expect a Hilton! But the staff was more than helpful and accommodating. Joey took time to tell us all about the amenities, places, nearby, and fun things to do in the area! he was very personable!

We really liked the amenities onsite like the kitchen, deck, canoe, walkout to the lake, and fridge in the room. The site manager Jessica was great, offering suggestions on what to do and where to eat. Would recommend!
Owners are welcoming and responsive. We love the concept of this place and the location is perfect. We will definitely return, maybe next time in the winter!

Near boundary waters stay
Easy to find with good directions. It was a rustic room and fulfilled our need.
Great location right next to the River . Cant get more picturesque than this . There is a common kitchen area shared by all guests who stay at the Lodge . Met some cool folks there who also shared a few tips for sightseeing esp the Pigeon Falls
Our stay was peaceful and serene.
Beautiful. If you are looking to forget about everything for awhile and go off the grid, this is the perfect place to do that.
The host is very friendly and knowledgable about the area. As the property is remote, she shared her meal packs and milk with our family. She even allowed us to use their boat and go boating in the lake.
Awesome location with breathtaking views. Owners are so friendly and welcoming. The house has all the amenities you could need being that far away from a town. You have in your room a fridge and microwave (smart idea). The room and the bathroom are clean and nice. Also the community area like the kitchen has everything to cook and a lot of extras you wouldn't think like TV, Wi-Fi... The owners take care of all details during your stage like make a burn fire for the guests.
Great experience, check in was a little confusing with the matanance guy telling us one thing vs us checking in via the phone. But a really pleasant stay, comfortable beds, great view, great kitchen. Highly recommend for anyone traveling alone or with family.
Very new and nice. There was a community kitchen and with unpleasant guests it made the stay worse. Also hopping there was more boat access to use the lake and the only thing available was far more expensive than it should have
This was our first trip to MN and staying in a lodge vs tent camping or a regular hotel. It served all our needs in a beautiful setting. Matt and Cassidy were very helpful and the Property manager checked in with us on day one to make sure we were settled and all was good. The view is beautiful, peaceful setting. We would definitely go back and recommend to anyone looking to get away and off the grid. It's simple and clean and lovely.

Why they chose this property
Trips up the Gunflint Trail help you slow down and enjoy every moment. There is no rush here, only time to present. Our neighbors are mostly wildlife, so practicing leave not trace is essential here. Only 6 hours from the Twin Cities and 3 hours from Duluth International Airport, this is the perfect location to experience all 4 seasons: fishing and swimming in the summer, fall color drives and hikes, northern lights in the winter, and bird migrations in the spring!
What makes this property unique
One of a kind property located directly on Lake Saganaga - the best fishing lake in Minnesota! Lake Saganaga is a border lake and from here you can have access to the entire BWCA for day trips but come back to a soft bed, kitchen, and BBQ. Come winter, we are located in what seems to be a snow globe - with fishing and snowmobiling right out the door!
