Beautiful spot on lake Washburn
Great cabin with plenty of space. Nice views of lake from front wall of windows and adjacent deck. Loved the ceiling fans- there are five that really keep the cabin comfortable. Cabin is situated in a great spot on the lake in a quiet bay that was always calm no matter the wind direction. Only negative is there is another large cabin “the lodge” next door with same owners that shares/dominates the lakefront due to large number of people staying there so wasn’t quite as relaxing/quiet as I had hoped. All in all a wonderful cabin in great location. Owners were very helpful and quick to respond.

beatiful location
I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again. This is a large 3 bedroom cabin on a beautiful lake on a quiet cove. The property is well maintained and has a nice little beach area for the kids. They have a rental boat and pontoon also. The property owners were very nice people and gave us many helpful pointers. Thanks again!

Great stay and great hosts
We overall had a wonderful experience at Mary and Scott's cabin. The property that it is situated on is maintained well and contains 3 other cabins, one of which is the lodge that they also list on VRBO. The cabin itself, called Cabin 6, was clean and well kept. It has AC and ceiling fans all over for particularly warm days. As the prior review noted, the walls for the rooms (there are 3 of them, one with a double-decker bed) do not extend all the way to the ceiling but privacy for us was not an issue as we were traveling as a small family. It may, however, be an issue for groups that have more than one family on the trip. There is a large interior dining table and the front of the cabin ahas a large seating area with windows that give you a great view of the lake. Glass doors out front also open out to the deck, which has another seating area for chilling or family meals. They have grills that can be used on the deck and a firepit out back behind the cabin. Basic household appliances are available but you will likely need to bring your own bedding. Property WIFI is available on the deck and in certain areas in the cabin so we were still able to connect to the world if needed. Owners are currently working on installing a router nearby that will provide WIFI to the whole cabin. The property itself has a nice swing out front facing the lake and a small beach for kids to play in. There are kayaks, lifejackets, fishing rods that are free to use and a pontoon that can be rented with advanced notice. Overall had an amazing time. Mary and Scott contacted us several days prior to our trip to make sure we had all our questions answered and we were fully prepared. They were also very responsive while there to any questions that we had. Would definitely come back!

Great location with growing edges
The owners of the property are learning the ropes. Here is some additional information about the place that may be helpful. Cabin 6 is one of four cabins on the property. The grounds, including the beach, are shared with others. The two twins beds are bunk beds (the ladder to get to the top hurts the feet). The bedroom walls don’t go to the ceiling, so there is less privacy than one might expect. The dining and living areas are spacious- great for a group. There is a pontoon boat available to rent by the day or week. It wasn’t working when we were there. There was no internet access, but I think they are working on that. The hosts aim to please and it is truly a beautiful location.
