About this property

Historic 1906 Barn restored into a Luxury Rental

I have decided to add pullouts back into this unit so it can accommodate more people if needed in the summer of 2025. It will include a king sized bed, queen sized bed and two queen sized pullout couches. This property is located in East Glacier just above Midvale Creek at the edge of town. It features a spectacular view of the mountains, creek and beaver pond, all viewable from large upper and lower decks. It sits on a large private lot with an 8 foot fence that was once used to enclose my father's buffalo! The lot is spacious in both front and back and features the perfect family atmosphere with lots of room for your children to run and play on the lawn.

Rustic yet beautifully modern, it has a new interior complete with all of the luxuries you need for a comfortable stay. It features a main floor with a living room, kitchen and bathroom. This floor has a TV, all modern kitchen appliances, a bar with 3 stools and lower bar/table with chairs. The bathroom has a large walk in tile shower complete with a bench and rain head shower head. Also on the main floor is a separate bedroom with a separate/private entrance accessible from the lower deck. This "sunroom" is small yet charming and includes a queen size bed, dresser, full bathroom, and TV. It is not accessible from the main cabin, it has a SEPARATE entrance from the deck. The upstairs in the main cabin has an entertainment center small bathroom with a bathtub and a king size bed. The views from the upper deck are spectacular!

Relax with your family or friends in this perfect Glacier getaway. Enjoy preparing homemade meals in the fully stocked kitchen or wind down on the deck after your hike and continue to enjoy the mountain views. Whatever your need, we hope to have what you are looking for on your Glacier vacation.

Beautiful home away from home.
The property was close to Two Medicine and not far from East entrance of Glacier National Park. The host was very kind and went out of the way to make us feel at home. Would definitely recommend this place to family and friends. Would also love to come back to this comfortable place.

Nice Stay.
We enjoyed our time at this barn. Good location for what we needed. Seating in living room is a challenge for a family of 5. Just a couch and bar stools. Could use a love seat or another chair somewhere. Well stocked and owner was great to work with. She checked in on us when we arrived to be sure all was well.

A great stay
We traveled with two other couples-beds were great but fold outs were a bit rough for adults. Very clean. Nice layout. Well equipped. Close to Two Medicine entrance and less than one hour to East Entrance to National park. Close to East Glavier Lodge. This property is on the reservation. Neighborhood a bit rough looking but felt absolutely safe. Very close East g

The owner was extremely responsive and helpful answering a few questions. Make sure to go through the book she created for renters. A lot of useful and interesting information in there. For instance, I didn’t realize this was part of a buffalo ranch a while back

Great Location and comfortable accommodations
We stayed here for a few nights in the Summer and would definitely come back! The cabin was comfortable, a well stocked kitchen, good size bathrooms, and the washer and dryer were great features. We stayed when the forest fire smoke was in the air and the two air purifiers provided were very helpful! The location is also perfect, to access the east side of Glacier National Park about 15 mins. from Two Medicine entrance and ~1 hour from Going to the Sun Road East entrance.

Lovely Stay in East Glacier
I was a hiking guide in the park this last summer and wanted my friends and family to experience the beauty on the east side; particularly Two Medicine. I didn't expect to see it from the deck! That was a wonderful addition to an already great accommodation.

A perfect stay in East Glacier!
We had the pleasure of staying 3 nights in this wonderful cabin in Wast Glacier. The accommodations were nothing short of PERFECT! Beds are comfortable, the cabin was spotless, bathrooms/shower were a luxury after all day hiking. We enjoyed the views of the Montana sky from the upstairs deck in the evening. Simmaron was such a gracious host, and answered any questions we had immediately, and even provided us with bearspray for our excursions. She was awesome. We look forward to staying again next time we visit Montana.

Beautiful historic barn in great location
We loved our stay in East Glacier. The restored barn was beautiful, clean, and very comfortable with everything we needed. We loved the views from the deck. The location was convenient to visiting Two Medicine, East Glacier Park, and Many Glacier. Simarron was so friendly and very responsive and helpful. We used the binder she put together everyday to plan our hikes and adventures. I’m addition to the binder, there were many thoughtful extras like a welcome snack basket and bathroom toiletries that were appreciated. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

Great Location. Perfect for families.
We enjoyed our stay. Simarron was an amazing host. She was available to answer our questions before the trip and while we were there. The barn is comfortable and cute. We especially liked the patio and the deck from the loft. The location is ideally located across from the Two Medicine entrance to the park. Great hiking in this area. Many Glacier and St Mary's area is not too far. We loved staying on the east side of the park. Closer to better hikes. Away from the crowds. We would definitely recommend staying here.

Great location and spacious
We were two couples coming to Glacier National Park for 3 days of hiking after having been in the Canadian Rockies. This property suited our needs perfectly. It was spacious with a modern kitchen and bathrooms and separate areas where we could each have our privacy. We got up early, hiked all day, and went to the very nearby Glacier Lodge for dinner, which we loved. It was very convenient to this location to go to Going to the Sun Road and Many Glacier. We especially loved the huge TV upstairs where we watched the Eagles game one evening. Simarron lent us bear spray. She also notified us that her brother found binoculars that we had accidentally dropped from our car, which he promptly returned to us. Simarron has created a very homey, special place here which I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend to anyone looking for an authentic East Glacier experience.

I have lived in East Glacier most of my life, minus periods where I left to attend school. I played college basketball, got a degree, attended healing school in Miami and moved to Hawaii briefly to attend massage school. I have always returned because no place else is like this place and my parents and 5 brothers and sisters live here as well. I now have four kids that you may see running around the property or (hopefully not) peeking in your window. Ha ha. I enjoy giving healings, cooking, looking at the mountains (haven't hiked much in my life!), hanging out with my kids and running my own business. When I have spare time (5 minutes every 2 months ha ha) I enjoy reading or star gazing.

Why they chose this property

I was born and raised in East Glacier. My Mother's house is next door and it has a fun and unique family history as my Father's buffalo literally used to roam on the property! (Many ask why the fence is so tall). I love raising my kids in the same town where I grew up. We continue to enjoy the property that my Dad bought long ago. It has since been transformed into a lovely beautiful spot to relax and feel like it's home sweet home (where the buffalo roamed) for all who stay here. I get to enjoy the same mountain range today that I have all of my life, something I'm so grateful for. I will never get tired of this view or the sweet mountain air in the summers. I do, however, get fully tired of the winters. Haha!

What makes this property unique

Travelers can enjoy the same views that I have my entire life. Whether it's sunrises with coffee on the decks or sunsets at night, it's a sight that never gets tiring. You can also view a beaver pond to the left of the barn over the bank. Sometimes if you're lucky you can see the busy little beavers swimming or building below. Another plus is that there isn't a whole lot of light pollution, so viewing stars at night is also a possibility. The large lot in front and in back of the cabin makes for a wonderful play area if you have kids along on your journey. Bring your soccer balls with you! There is also a red gravel loop that you can use to run in the mornings or walk around at night. I use it everyday to get my daily exercise in. Whether you want to relax comfortably inside or continue to enjoy the beautiful mountain air outside, we have a little bit of everything here.
