If you like peace and quiet and private hiking, within 5 minutes of restaurants, this cabin could be great for you. The views of the surrounding mountains are beautiful, especially at sunset. I've only been in winter, and it does get a little chilly inside, so you will want warm clothes.
Loved this little cabin nestled in the canyon above the lake good location quiet clean quaint lots of bathrooms master bedroom is below the main sleeping quarters so I can get a little noisy in the morning one TV. Loved the kitchen worked great for our party of 7 ranging from 12 years old to 70 years old lots of wildlife. driveway is a little rough for a car due to the harsh winter but we managed. We would definitely stay here in the future and recommend it.
My husband and I flew in from the East Coast for a Celebration of life and wanted a comfortable place to unwind. We were traveling with my MIL and there was plenty of space for the three of us to unwind and chill when not visiting with family in Bakersfield.
While the cabin was about 45 minutes from where we needed to be, we enjoyed the scenic "fun" drive along Kern Canyon Road (I think that is the proper name).
The owners were incredibly attentive upon arrival and happy to assist with any questions or needs.
This cabin was exactly what we wanted! We hope to return with our children the next time we are out visiting.
