Shem Creek Luxury Studio - Minutes to Charleston and Beaches

Shem Creek loft apartment, Monthly rental only. Built in the Southern vernacular with shiplap walls and finished in classic southern décor this bungalow is both inviting and comfortable. One block away from the Historic Shem Creek Waterway, where at last count, there are 16 restaurants in a 4 block radius. Rent a paddle Board or a Kayak and get out on the water that draws us all to the area. Shrimp boats line the docks and offer up fresh catches daily and the boardwalk to the harbor are hard to beat. The beaches of Sullivans Island and the Isle of Palms are 12 minutes away while historic Charleston is a 15 minute drive and Uber is always available. There is a comfortable well landscaped patio and a grill for your enjoyment. The owners are seasoned renters and have 4 sister properties all next door to one another so plan ahead and bring your friends and family. Can’t beat the location

We enjoyed our time in Mt Pleasant. Joe was a fantastic host and extremely responsive. The location is walking distance to Shem creek and a short drive to the beach. Highly recommend this property!

The absolute best!

This is the second year we have stayed for an extended amount of time at this property and it's become a home away from home for us! It's perfectly located to everything, so comfortable and has everything you could want. The best part about this experience though is the host, Joe! He is the absolute greatest -- so accommodating, quick communication and available if you need anything at all....he goes above and beyond to make you feel welcomed your entire stay! I can't recommend this property enough (or any of Joe's properties) you truly can't go wrong!

Great location and accommodations

You couldn't ask for a better location. Can walk to Shem Creek. Close to everything, restaurants, grocery stores and a quick ride into Charleston. The accommodations are just as pictured and are very comfortable for two people. This is our second rental from Joe. He is very responsive to your needs

Perfect location/ great host

The studio apartment was absolutely perfect for my husband and I!! It had everything we needed - great location and loved the decor!!! Proximity to everything in Charleston can’t be beat!! The owner was wonderful to work with and even stopped by to see if we needed anything!! Great experience!!

Perfect location

This apartment is so beautiful and private. It’s walking distance to many great restaurants. I could walk one block over to put my paddle board in Shem Creek and watch dolphins play! A 15 minute drive to the beach to walk my dog every morning. Joe is a great host and responds quickly to any questions. I loved my stay!

Cozy Carriage House

Six weeks at this Cozy Mount Pleasant Carriage House and we hated to leave. Clean, quiet, perfect location to walk to wonderful restaurants and bars, short drive to downtown Charleston in one direction, and lovely beaches in the other. Very well stocked with everything we needed and more. Owner was communicative and responded immediately if we had any questions. Wonderful to find such a welcoming place for us and our pooch.

Beautiful home, incredible location

I stayed here for 3 months and couldn't have asked for a better home, location, or experience. It was my first time to the Charleston area and I fell in love with Mt Pleasant on day 1. The home is absolutely beautifully decorated and very well equipped. Joe was responsive and very helpful. He stopped by to tell me about the area, walking paths, restaurants, etc. Quickly addressed any issues I had (though those were very few). He even drove me to get my wisdom teeth out because I didn't know anyone else in the area. Highly recommend this property, or any of Joe's properties. If I return, I'll definitely book with Joe again!!

This place was perfect!

We spent a month at this property and would have loved to stayed longer. The AC worked great which is a huge plus for a 57 year old woman :). We loved having so many places to walk to eat that had outdoor dining and allowed our dog. We will be back!

Location, location, location!

This hidden gem is awesome if you are looking for a place to stay in the middle of it all! Close to bars, restaurants, the beaches and downtown Charleston! The little apartment had everything we needed for a 4 week stay while we were waiting for our house to be finished! We would recommend it 100%!

Great location for this rental. Has everything thing you need. The unit was above a garage in the back which I was not expecting, guess I need to read the description better. But perfect for myself and a dog. Still would highly recommend.

Gem in Shem

Returning home to SC for a month - the location is second to none. Easy to walk to great restaurants on Shem Creek, 10 min drive to Sullivan’s Island Beaches, close to several golf courses and 10 mins drive to downtown Charleston. The apt itself stunning and well equipped for your stay. Can’t say enough about Joe, whose an excellent host. Will be returning!

Great Location!

Walking distance to all that the Shem Creek area has to offer, and a short drive to beaches and historic Charleston. The fenced in yard and cleanliness of the property were perfect for a long term stay. The owner Joe was courteous and helpful. All around I could not have asked for a better place to stay.

My wife and I rented this apartment for 4 weeks. It was extremely well built, well furnished, super clean and had everything we needed for a long stay. The location is fantastic - you can walk or bike to multiple restaurants, parks, stores, etc. The owner (Joe) was always accessible and super helpful with all of our questions. I highly recommend this listing.

Cozy and quiet

About the only thing with this property was sharing limited parking with the adjacent renters. Apart from this, EVERYTHING was adequate, clean, and comforting. We’d definitely come back!
