Enjoyed setting on the deck and not havig to worry about bringing anything but your food and personal items and just relax .internet was in and out , but was fine, aome

Great property, very comfortable and relaxing. Appreciated the nice bathrooms after our float trips and good working air conditioning. I would definitely stay again. It’s especially good for a bbq large family gathering!

Trip to St. Louis Zoo

The cabin was nice and a good value for the price. I should have did a little more research on the location because our plans were for the St Louis Zoo. We made it work but a little too far off the beaten path unless your destination was Annapolis and the black river. The cabin was fine and we enjoyed it.

Perfect!!!

From the booking to the check out process, everything was PERFECT for what we wanted! The staff that helped us book were super helpful and friendly. The space was perfect for the 8 adults who stayed. We were SO pleasantly surprised that this cabin had it ALL! From ALL the cookware and dishes to bedding, towels and even soaps and shampoos! The back deck was SO nice having the ceiling fan to move the air, the warm string lights giving an amazing vibe and place to eat all together as well as hang out and play games into the late evening.....and even the early morning coffee favorite! We loved the firepit area as well. There really wasn't a negative to mention. We truly enjoyed our stay and the owner and staff that made it happen....THANK YOU!!!

Hliiside Cabin # 3, and 4

Overall not a bad little spot, a few thing’s inside need to be addressed the kitchen was not very clean, no cleaning supplies. water faucet in kitchen needs replaced , and leak under kitchen sink, everything was as it should be. The numbers on the cabins are not in order we rented #3 & 4 they were not next to each other cabin 2 was between them. Also found (wood) roaches in the kitchen and bathroom.

Quiet stay close to the Black River

It was a clean and comfortable property, close to Jeff's Canoes if you are wanting to adventure on the Black River. Secluded but other families staying in nearby cabins so it felt very safe. I would recommend!

Great place.

Everything was great. Only issue was that there was no wifi like the listing said. This was not a big deal as we were doing outdoor activities mainly. Slight noises coming from the rock quary but cant hear it when inside. Nice set up. We enjoyed our stay.

Vacation getaway

Great place to get away and stay with the family. There is a nice big porch on the back or we could all hang out together. Plenty of room. Comfortable all the way around.

Inconvenience

NO ASSISTANCE FROM HOST PRIOR TO OR DURNING STAY Email twice and message on phone twice, prior to arrival, no response. Entry code note given until 3pm one hour prior to 4pm check-in. Those traveling unsure if they had a place to stay. On arriving after 9pm there was no TV. Called to host, did not pick-up. Message left after 10am the following day about the TV, discovered there was no cable to TV and no batteries in the remotes. Adult grandson had to purchase cable & batteries to remedy the situation for his children. He did take him newly purchased cable (as not even a curtesy response from host) batteries were left in the remotes. Spoke to housekeeping before 11am (check-out date) to inform her of there was no TV in cabin #4, for the next guests, asking her to inform host because we had received no assist or response from when I informed him.

Beautiful cabin. Perfect property for a weekend getaway. Close to elephant rock and Johnson’s shut ins. A few things need fixed like the kitchen faucet, the water pressure, and the wifi box needs moved so it doesn’t take 30 minutes to load everything on the tv. I’d definitely go back.

Great getaway - communication needs work

The place has a great cabin feel. There were a few minor maintenance issues but everything was as advertised. The communication with the property manager was the only negative. We had a few unanswered messages and a voicemail, but he responded quickly via text about 4 hours before our arrival. We also weren't certain which cabin was #4 - it's at the top of the hill on the left.

Missouri Staycation

The cabin was a perfect place for our family of 6 to stay. We were about 30 minutes from all the State Parks and only 10 minutes from the beautiful Black River! We enjoyed the quiet of this location and spent a lot of time on the covered deck and around the fire pit. This was our first vacation with our 3 year old granddaughter along and it was just great!!

Great getaway!

My friends and I LOVED the cabin! It's just as adorable in the pictures as it is in person. The only issue we had was with the kitchen faucet not working correctly. I was told by the cleaning staff that it broke a few weeks ago. I'm not sure why they didn't repair it when they were told about the issue as it made it hard to wash dishes. Other than that every thing was amazing! I would stay again at this property!!!

Perfect for us

Four of us were on a hunting trip and needed a place to stay. The 2 bedrooms, loft, and pull out Murphy bed were just right for us. All amenities were new and very nice. Beds were comfortable. Can't beat it for the price and would definitely stay again.
