The guest suite was newly constructed in 2011 when Hatton House was moved over from Dunbar, Vancouver to Union Bay by Nickel Brothers. The upstairs of the heritage home was originally built in 1915 and ample amounts of old world charm are still intact. The property is one block from the beach, ideal for paddle boarding, kayaking or boating. Behind the property is the old commuter, Victoria to Comox rail line which offers up kilometers of trails. The town of Cumberland, known as a mountain biking mecca is a short drive away, and the local breweries are a great way to quench your thirst after a ride.
For those that are looking for higher alpine, we do not disappoint. Mount Washington is located 40 minutes drive away and offers downhill skiing, cross country and snowshoeing in the winter and hiking and mountain bike trails in the summer.
