Appreciate the hospitality

Don’t get me wrong this is a nice place and we appreciate you letting us stay but wasn’t allowed to use dishwasher which had I known I would have booked something else since there were quite a few people there and the tvs were tiny but overall was nice

The unit could use some updating. We couldn’t find any oven mitts, no blankets - covers were very thin, pillows were all inconsistent and very uncomfortable (the beds were comfortable tho). Washer and dryer took a long time. No additional guests were allowed for our hang out at the pool and we weren’t even allowed to park a few extra hours in the parking lot after checking out. Beach access and view from the unit was nice, elevators were fast, and restaurants were nearby which was convenient.

Outdated and limited living resources

We vacationed in Panama City Beach at Sterling Beach for two weeks. The first week we stayed in 302 and the second week we stayed in 1005. The first condo, 302, was lovely. The second condo, 1005, was not so nice. We have been coming to Sterling Beach for many, many years and thus far this condo, 1005, was one of the most outdated, as far as the appliances and VERY limited cooking utensils. There were no regular sized pots, very used and dangerous nonstick frying pans, a crappy toaster, and plenty of Tupperware lids with no bottoms to match! I enjoy cooking meals in more than I like going out and staying in 1005 made it an unpleasant experience. The appliances are old like the refrigerator, it was rusting on the outside below the ice and water dispenser. Most of the drawers in the fridge were broken. I also want to mention that the patio furniture was old, outdated and there was only seating for two. The couch in the living room was dingy and dirty as well. Being that said, this tells me that Sterling Beach (Vacasa) is all about profit and not about pleasing the customer. For the first week we were there, 302, which is managed by VRBO was well worth the stay.

Lots of space, but filthy

The two good things about this condo is the amount of space and the ease of parking. The parking lot is just yards from the main two elevators. This made unloading and loading very easy. The room was very spacious, which we needed because we had 4 children with us. The room was absolutely filthy. Immediately upon walking in, we noticed sand throughout the entire condo with the largest amount in the kitchen. Both bathrooms have rugs in them. As you sit in the bathroom you can watch tiny bugs crawling around the rugs, All of the fixtures have a thick adherent layer of dust including all of the decorations- shells, ceramic fruit. The dishwasher is basically not functional anymore as something is defective with the drain. If you interrupt the cycle you will see several inches of standing foul smelling water in the base of the dishwasher leaving all of the dishes coated a foul smelling film. I can look over the worn interior- paint and finish chipping off cabinets in kitchen and bathroom as well as the splotchy walls but the amount of filth, I cannot. If I consider staying at this condo facility again, I will tediously read every single review and will never stay in this room again. The cleaning crew should be fired. Please, someone with management take a gander into this condo.

Disappointed in condo but great beach

The beach and pool were great, clean and not too busy. Pros: size of condo, view of beach/Gulf, a fun bar and grill across the street but otherwise not a lot of restaurants within walking distance. Cons: light bulbs out, toaster didn’t work, garbage disposal didn’t work, saw one roach, condo needed deep cleaning / some updating.

Great spot to stay. Plenty of space for three couples, great location if you like to be low key and not on a crowded beach. Wish there was better pots and pans/kitchen things but other than that everything was great! Would stay here again for sure!

Great Pool and Beach, room needs TLC

Based on the other reviews I expected better than what we got for the price. The facilities were great and I may come back but would try another unit. 1005 desperately needs a paint job, walls had dirt, base boards in the bathrooms have what looks like mold, the refrigerator interior needed to be wiped down, dishes put in the cabinets were not clean and one pan had a layer of grease still in it. You could see dirt buildup on several of the vents. The living room furniture is worn, the porch furniture is long over due, and one of the chairs in the dining area was broken. Linens were sparse. No beach towels so bring your own. We were provided 8 bath towels for 8 people. There was not a wine bottle opener and when we called the front desk we were told "sorry". Fortunately we met other vacationers and we were able to borrow the one from their unit. Ice trays had wholes in them. These are things so inexpensive to replace yet make a large impact on the guest experience it was shocking a +$3,000 a week rental would not include these basics.
