This place was adorable and very accommodating. Very comfortable beds and a perfect porch. Host was very quick to be helpful and answer any questions we had. Would love to stay again.
Very memorable...enjoyed sipping coffee on front porch while staring at the beautiful Watauga river. The fishing was excellent! The home was so inviting and bedrooms very large. Cute decor!
The house was very clean, tasteful decorated. Check in was very easy. Close enough to shopping yet still out to yourself. We loved the view of the river and surrounding mountains. Would definitely stay again.
This property was exactly as listed. As soon as we walked in it felt like home. It was cozy, and very clean. It had everything we needed except food. Seeing the wild geese every morning in the river was extremely relaxing. We came for the bristol race and the drive was easily about 25 minutes. Would rent again.
Great long weekend stay on the Watauga River. Perfect location for floating the upper section. Angela was a fantastic host and responsive to any questions.
We came to watch the River Riders baseball team. Misty Waters was a beautiful quiet location within driving distance of the ball diamond. The house was as advertised. We really enjoyed our stay.
Four of us spent the week at Misty Waters to do some fly fishing and relaxing. The house was perfectly located with a great view of the river from the front porch. The beds were comfortable, the house was clean, the kitchen had everything we needed. We'll be back!
This little cottage is so warm and cozy. Very clean and has everything you could want or need. Can’t say enough about our host she is so warm and very caring person. Can’t said enough good things about her. Thank you for all that you said and offered us .
The house was very well equipped and spotlessly clean. We enjoyed sitting on the porch watching the river in front of us, and waved back at the friendly folks who drove past.
We had a very nice time and look forward to coming back soon. Our friends who stayed with us commented that as soon as she walked into the house, she felt at home.
We had a wonderful time. The view from front porch was incredible! Every evening we watch’s the geese fly in. We had everything we needed in the home. Bedding was excellent. Close to town for groceries. Highly recommend visiting Roan Mtn State Park, Sycamore Shoals Historic Site, Great Mountain roads on the Harley’s to Mountain City and Into Virginia. The Road and driveway was paved and 100% motorcycle accessible.
We came for the races in Bristol for the weekend. The home was charming and inviting. The bed was so comfortable! The waterway in front of the house was calming and relaxing. The view was beautiful. We thought the old Texaco station next door was so cool. We sat outside at night and listened to the water and sounds of nature. It was so good for the soul. The host was very responsive! We are already planning to come back next year since we had a wonderful time!
We stayed over Thanksgiving to see family in Elizabeton and had a very nice experience. The home is large enough, the master bed was comfortable and everything was very clean. The property next door must have been an old gas station which was not anything to look at but the river across the street was beautiful and your just down the road from Wautuga Lake which was gorgeous. Communication with the owner was very quick and we had everything we needed. The pictures on the listing were accurate. I would stay there again if I visit.
My husband and I stayed at Misty Waters for a week - it is located close by for kayaking the Watauga River. The mornings and evenings were my favorite - sitting on the porch enjoying the cool breeze of the river - priceless. The cabin was very well maintained and Angela was a great hostess.
This country house is perfect for a quiet getaway. The views are beautiful and the lovely neighbor is the nicest person ever. I wish I had more time to talk to her because I loved hearing the history of the location. The inside of the house was so nice & updated. We had everything we needed. I would stay here again in a heartbeat. Such a wonderful place.
