Contemporary Eastham house near the water - Pet Friendly
Minutes to both the bay and the ocean surf as well as to the bicycle path. The house is a passive solar contemporary with 2 levels (plus basement) including 12 sky lights which allow the sun to stream in. The open plan design gives the 2,000+ square foot house an even larger feel. There is a cathedral ceiling family room and sun room and the wrap around mahogany deck is perfect for relaxation after a hard day at the beach. The 16 x 16 screened in porch with cathedral ceiling and skylights was is perfect for your morning coffee, dinner or just relaxing with a book. The exterior grounds are full with mature plantings, flowers, including shade and parterre gardens. The lot is over a half acre and the adjoining lots are large so there is a strong sense of privacy. The house is on a cul-de-sac street so there is very little auto activity. Come and get away from it all! We are also pet friendly.

We enjoyed staying for a second time at this comfortable home on a quiet street (cul de sac) in a lovely neighborhood that's very well-located - near the bike path, bay beaches, grocery store/shops in Orleans. Great for walking our doggie! We especially enjoyed sitting in the shade of the front porch in the late afternoon and enjoying breakfast in the large screened-in porch.
The property was clean and as described. Loved the quiet neighborhood and proximity to stores/food/activities beach. Best feature of the home is the multiple gathering places both in and outside- very conducive to time well spent with family :)
House was plenty big enough for 8 adults, lots of seats for watching movies at night, and enough comfortable beds for sleeping. Loved the screened in porch and outdoor shower. Kitchen was well equipped . We all had a great time, and the doggies did too :)

Not nearly worth the money!
Property was in disrepair. Many skylights but all had spider webs and debris. One was broken so when storm hit water rushed in. Many outlets don't work. AC didn't work. Cupboard musty smell--many dishes chipped. Back yard a mess-coudn't use. Closed in porch--moldy chairs --ANTS everywhere. Couldn't use. One TV.
Airy, large, comfy and clean house close to Great Pond, First Encounter Beach, National Seashore and bike path. Great outdoor spaces and quiet wooded neighborhood. Perfect for families.
We are so happy to have found this home to rent for the week. It is a beautiful house with plenty of space for a memorable family gathering. The screened-in porch nestled amongst the Cape pines was awesome and had a nice breeze in the evening. The Cape Cod bike trail is nearby. Beaches and marsh hikes a short drive away. Would absolutely like to return here! Thank you very much!
We had a really delightful stay at this wonderful house, nestled on a very quiet cul de sac in a convenient location in Eastham. There's some protected land between this road and the short walk to the bike trail, which was perfect for our pooch. We enjoyed many meals in the lovely screened-in porch and afternoon drink on the shaded outside porch. The beds are really comfortable and the upstairs master bedroom/bath is an oasis of privacy, like a separate suite, which was perfect for my Dad. The only thing is that the upstairs does get pretty warm, even in June; a wall unit A/C would make it perfect (perhaps that's already under consideration!).
Great Vacation, Great Space, Beautiful Home with many amenities
My husband and I had a wonderful time at this home. It was huge and we loved the open floor layout. Quiet neighborhood and all the amenities you could ask for. We ate out a lot but I did cook in the fully stocked kitchen with pots/pans/utensils etc. We had an amazing time just relaxing on the enclosed porch and on the front porch.
We had a great family vacation down the cape and the home was great. Very spacious with many areas to relax. Host was very responsive and accommodating !
We had a relaxing getaway at this house. The house is full of light and feels like it’s more remote than it is. The landscaping is quite nice. It’s also very close to beaches, restaurants and anything you need on the cape
We stayed in the house for three nights over the Thanksgiving holiday with my three kids-teenagers and a dog. The place was located in a very peaceful and quite area which let us sleep with great comforts. It’s close enough to towns for grocery shopping and dining. Everything was perfect except the kitchen wares are a bit worn out and need replacement sooner or later. Otherwise, we all had wonderful time there and will visit again!!
The house was beautiful and perfect for our group of 4 adults. Absolutely loved the neighborhood and being so close the Cape Cod Rail Trail. Everything was exactly as described and communication from the hosts was excellent. Thank you so much for a wonderful stay, we hope to be back again next year!
Wonderful house on large woodsy lot in quiet neighborhood. Plenty of common spaces including wrap-around porch and screened-in porch. Amazing outdoor shower. Very comfortable. Great location, close to bike path, Great Pond and First Encounter Beach. Owners were very helpful.
The house is well laid out and open and sunny. Tnhe furniture is comfortable as well as the beds. The kitchen is well stocked and the screened-in dining and relaxing area is fantastic; we ate every meal in it. the outside porch is well equipped with chairs and our 10 month old granddaughter enjoyed playing outside. The outdoor shower was sublime. We will definitely stay here again.
Lovely home with large spaces for family to gather. Owner responded quickly when informed that the smoke detectors needed attention, and that bathroom sink was clogged. Ten minutes from Coast Guard Beach and a quick run to both Hyannis and Provincetown. We had two rain days in our week, but the beautiful screened porch was a fun place to play games and listen to the drops drip.
We spent a week here with our baby, our dog, and another couple. We all loved the house- couldn’t have asked for anything more. Great location, clean, peaceful, a very nice house with accommodating hosts. Even our dog( who is picky ) loves it. We hope to stay here again.
Beautiful property, quiet and relaxing. Great to play cards out on the screened in porch at night or enjoy a relaxing cup of coffee and breakfast. Plenty of space to enjoy with friends, yet have your own space to read etc. would recommend to anyone looking to relax, short distance to the beach and orleans downtown! Plenty of yummy restaurants near by!
What a wonderful.base to explore the Lower Cape. Marconi was a great place for seal watching, swimming at Forst Encounter or Nauset (or Harwich), and dinner and drag shows in Provincetown. The house is lovely, clean and private.
Great house to share with two adult couples and a dog !!
We were very happy with this house. While it is not slick or fancy. it has a very comfortable feel and wonderful flow to the lay out . IT works great for being together yet never feeling like you are on top of one another!!! We rented the house for a one week vacation with our 33 yr old son and his girlfriend... both of whom had to work remotely part of the time. . They enjoyed working on the beautiful , quiet, screened in porch while my husband and I found plenty of zones to read, eat, cook , watch TV. etc. We all enjoyed biking or running on the near by rail trail or lovely jaunts to many beaches or nature preserves. There are 2 equally nice master bedrooms for 2 adult couples. I loved the downstairs bedroom with lots of windows and sky lights. The upstairs large bed room with en suite bath is lovely and more private. We came in June when It cools down at night .IT probably can get warm up there in the hotter months. I suggest to owner that they buy an additional strong floor fan to have on hand up there in hotter months. The third bedroom , which we did not use, is small but fresh. Kitchen has everything you will need . I personally found having to bring our own sheets for beds, towels for bath and beach for a group quite cumbersome to pack.. That said , it would not deter me from renting the house again..

Why they chose this property
Our home is very well appointed having most every amenity you might want. The kitchen is chock full of cooking and serving amenities. Both bathrooms and the kitchen have been remodeled with granite and stone countertops, tile floors, and new appliances. The screened porch is awesome! The grounds are full with flowers and bushes and very private.
Eastham is an amazing vacation location surrounded by water. It's only 3 miles wide bordered by bay beaches on one side and the Cape Cod national sea shore beaches on the other. Fort Hill, the beautiful scenic and historic walking trail managed by the Cape Cod National Seashore.is very close to to our home. A visit to Fort Hill is a must see. And if you like to kayak, Eastham is the place to be.
