From the moment I entered the house I knew I was someplace very special and unique. Although the home is more than 200 years old, it has been painstakingly modernized and yet retains the charm of the old wood floors, beams and doors. Each room is beautifully decorated. The artwork is versatile, original art and reflects the owners’ great varied taste. The furniture is very comfortable and welcomes you to relax and enjoy each view. The bedrooms are large, decorated in various stlyes using old pieces with modern bedding for great nights’ sleep. The doors to each room is old and charming. Plenty of closets and dressers are in each room.
The bonus media room blows you away on the third floor. A huge TV with a plush comfy sofa is a great way to watch a film or TV show. There’s room to sleep on this large sectional as well.
Outside is a gift of plantings, sculptures, koi pond and a huge pool with beautiful tiles. The lounge furnitures is cozy and charming. A pergola with a beautiful run dripping with greens and flowers is a centerpiece.
It feels like being in a European country in the gated backyard.
It is a retreat.
The owners are so thoughtful and care about your experience in their home. They are very attentive to any need or question. Lovely people.
Walk to town. Shop or just walk to a beach and marina. Walk by the Whaler’s museum, Customs house and other historical sites along the three block walk. Cute shops and lots of great restaurant are all within another three blocks. Plenty of seafood but also international foods from all over the world. Plenty of donuts or organic food shops to choose from.
Easy 20 minute drives to the other Hamptons and Long Beach.
I loved this home. It felt like mine for two and a half weeks.
There are easy walks to ponds and playgrounds with many tennis courts.
One of the best experiences I ever had in the a East End.
Sag a Harbor is more low key and yet there is a charm and sophistication to go along with it.
Definitely a favorite special home to treat yourself to.
As a painter, the inspirations were endless.
Thank you for the opportunity to be in your home.
