About this property

Typical ligurian house in the historical village of Montegrazie

Historical house (1600-1700 .. uncertain date) in the ancient ligurian village of Montegrazie.
The house, as most of the ligurian building, is spread over multiple levels and it faces out: on one side on a typical alley, while the other side there is a wonderful view of the hills overgrown by olive trees.
The recent restoration has preserved the original look of the building, re-evaluating and rediscovering the original architectural features (exposed stone, vaulted ceilings).
The original floors, when it was possible, have been fully recovered, in order to preserve a testimony of ancient building techniques. The bathroom, although it was completely modernized, tries to recreate the flavor of the ligurian style by means of a careful choice of the materials.
As a whole the house is composed by: 3 double bedrooms, a living room (with sofa bed), a kitchen and bathroom.
The bathroom has both bath and shower and a washing machine (and Bidet).
The kitchen is equipped with an oven, 5 burners and a large fridge with freezer.
A modern fireplace gives atmosphere to the living room.
The windows show a sublime view of the Shrine of Our Lady of Grace and the sea looks out from behind the hills.

The accommodation is perfect for 6 people, but using the sofa bed on the living room also 8 people might be hosted

Not perfect, but perfect
The apartment is uphill, so expect a rather steep climb every day. Not a problem for me, but if your condition is less good, take it in consideration. It is an old house, so nothing is straight, but the walls are thick so it isn't hot in summer. Charming is certainly applicable. The surroundings are simply stunning, villages in the area are each and everyone fabulous, the Mediterranean coast is jawdroppingly beautiful. We simply had a fantastic holiday. Giacomo the host is very friendly and brought our luggage to the apartment with his Ape and shared some tomatoes from his garden and olive oil as well. If you have a good condition and like old houses in charming villages, you should rent this apartment.

Stunning place
Giacomo is a fantastic host, he sent a little book with explanation on how to get there to Montegrazie and what to see and do in surrounding area. The village is awesome, I have never been to similar place before. Unbelievable ancient atmosphere. Not enough space here to describe it. The house itself is very nice and comfortable. There are 3 double bedrooms and living room with sofa bed for 2 if needed. The kitchen is equipped with everything you may need on your stay. The bathroom is huge and there is bathtub as well as shower. Thank you Giacomo
