About this property

Casa Nogal is a tastefully renovated farmhouse set in a tranquil, scenic location amidst its own olive grove ideal for relaxing family holidays, yet well-situated for visiting Granada, Malaga, Seville and Cordoba as well as for walking holidays in the natural parks. The house is 15 mins from Iznajar, a picturesque, traditional Andalucian hilltop town with ancient church and Moorish castle overlooking Lake Iznajar (kayaking etc available in the summer) and 15 mins from the A92 motorway with excellent links to Granada & the Alhambra (50 mins) , Malaga (50 mins), Seville (110 mins) and Cordoba and the Mezquita (90 mins).

When not exploring, relax by the private 10x5 m pool or drink and dine on the vine covered terrace.

The house comprises a well-equipped kitchen /dining room with log burning stove, leading to the sitting room with open fireplace and good supply of DVDs , books and games. The master double bedroom is en-suite with log burning stove with 2 additional twin bedded rooms sharing a bathroom. Each bedroom is equipped with wardrobe, bedside cabinets, free standing electric fans or portable heaters depending on season.

Just a note of thanks for letting us stay at Casa Nogal we all had a great holiday and it was so lovely to stay in a home not a property. The pool was definitely a huge bonus with the heat and I really enjoyed the tranquillity of my early morning lengths whilst being dive-bombed by the swallows!

Calme et dépaysant

Nous avons passé de très bonnes vacances en pleine nature. Au programme piscine et farniente. Petit plus, la maison est très bien équipée. Merci à Jane et Mike pour les informations et indications et aussi à Pepi pour l'accueil. Nous reviendrons sans hésitation.

Casa Nogal

Wonderfully private and peaceful location. Thoroughly enjoyed our week at Casa Nogal, and the large pool was a particular treat. We would highly recommend this traditional cortijo to anyone looking to get away from modern life.

A lovely holiday!

We had a lovely time in Andalusia. This property is lovely and peaceful. It was close to 40* every day for the 2 weeks we were there, but the house stays comfortable and the lovely pool kept us cool! Lovely days out visiting places, or relaxing by the pool and then evenings enjoying a meal on the terrace with a lovely view across to the mountains, enjoying the peace! We all loved the nearby hilltop village of Iznejar. A quiet, unassuming but beautiful village. We also enjoyed day trips to Ronda and the Alhambra as well as the coast. A lovely place, we were sad to leave.

Un havre de paix

Nous avons passé une merveilleuse semaine dans cette charmante villa au milieu des oliviers. La maison est retirée dans la campagne mais est en même temps très proche de l’autoroute. Grenade et Cordoue ne sont qu’à une heure de route. La grande piscine a également été très appréciée !!! Iznajar se situe à environ 10 min de route. C’est un très beau petit village perché sur une colline et dominant la retenue d’eau d’Iznajar. Merci enfin aux petites attentions telles que les boissons fraîches dans le frigo à notre arrivée. Merci à Jane et Mike.

VACANCES AU CALME REUSSIES. ON RECOMMANDE !

Maison de vacances confortable, au calme parmi les oliviers, et agréable avec sa piscine. Construction ancienne avec des murs épais, rénovée avec gout avec une très agréable terrasse sous une tonnelle. La maison étant en pleine campagne, un moyen de locomotion est impératif

Excellent - well equipped and comfortable with super facilities

Beautiful house with lots to enjoy. The standard of fittings and equipment is high and we enjoyed the veranda, pool and lovely view, good to have wi-fi too. The owners thought of everything needed to make you welcome and their attention to detail was evident everywhere, they were also available if needed.

Havre de paix au milieu des oliviers...

Très agréable maison, joliment décorée, fonctionnelle. Tout est prévu pour que l'on passe un excellent séjour. Plein de délicates attentions. Les informations données par les propriétaires pour arriver à la Casa Nogal sont à la hauteur des informations laissées sur place afin de passer un excellent séjour. Un pressbook des visites à faire dans les environs est à disposition et complète de manière plus précise les guides touristiques... Merci beaucoup pour ce séjour, les figues cueillies sur l'arbre, l'huile d'olive locale laissée à disposition... Tout était parfait...

Un excellent séjour au milieu des oliviers...

C'est une maison blanche adossée à la colline couverte d'oliviers, loin du bruit des villes surpeuplées, le silence n'y est troublé que par le chant des oiseaux... Nous avons apprécié d'y séjourner en raison de la situation géographique du lieu, proche de Grenade, Antequera, Malaga... Nous avons beaucoup apprécié le charme des lieux et la grande piscine sous l'immense ciel bleu andalou... Nous avons apprécié y trouver tout le nécessaire pour chaque jour, équipements et ustensiles de cuisine, produits divers de base pour l'alimentation, confort des chambres... J'ai apprécié la disponibilité des propriétaires, au travers d'échange de mails, ainsi que celle des personnes gérant la maison et rencontrées sur place... Vous l'aurez compris, nous y avons passé un excellent séjour...

Une semaine à Casa Nogal

Séjour en famille en août 2016 - la maison est très agréable et fonctionnelle - à l'ombre au milieu des oliviers, aucun bruit sauf celui discret des animaux. Nous n'avons pas souffert de la chaleur. Piscine et BBQ sont agréables. Déçu par Iznajar et Villanueva de Tapia, pas grand chose à voir et à faire. Mais les autres villes alentours sont intéressantes (Archidona, Antequera, Malaga, Nerja, Grenade). Voiture indispensable.

Quiet paradise in olive grove

Staying at Casa Nogal was so relaxing and an absolute joy. Located in a peaceful olive grove, this beautifully renovated casa offers everything you need. The view from the cosy patio and when relaxing by the big pool is just amazing. We especially enjoyed when the swallows dived into the pool for a drink - and watching the stars at night from the pool. Highly recommended!
