We thoroughly enjoyed the privacy and the amount of open space of this property as we traveled with pets. The ability for our family members to each have their own space to go to when needed was a perk as well. The location made it easy to visit area attractions. We will definitely stay again in the future!
2nd stay here. Like how we're close to towns, yet we're far enough away to feel alone. Yard is roomy, cabins have roomy commonspaces to hang out in. Enough rooms though that u can retreat for alone time. Close enough to atv trails that we dont have to load onto trailers every day. Definatety plan on staying again.
Nice cabin close to akeley amd nevis. We were close to trails, plenty of parking. Spent a good amount of time around the fire pit. Both cabins have spac to gather inside as well.
Great property close to groomed trails. We had a slight issue checking in which delayed our vacation a bit, but was instantly corrected to the best of their ability. The kids had fun sleeping and playing games in the bunkhouse while the adults enjoyed the quiet in the warm cabin. Would stay here again.
We had a great time at this cabin. When we arrived we had trouble getting the guest cabin unlocked, a quick call to the Owner and he had us in. Location was great! Close to ATV trails We were able to leave from the cabin each day and not worry about trailering. Plenty of room for pickups and trailers. The only disappointment for the weekend was the buck hu ter game in the pictures is no longer there, not a deal breaker as we had a blast over the weekend. The coffee maker also did not work. We are definitely going to book with this cabin again!
Great property with nice clean cabins and plenty of room for the whole family. Lots of room for multiple atvs, side by sides and trailers. Huge advantage being close to the trails. Loved the fact that you dont have to trailer each day to get on the trails. We will definitely rebook for next year!
The property had plenty of room for our trailers and for a large group to hang out outside and play games and not have to worry about noise. The bedrooms were comfortable and the kitchen and bathrooms were clean. Perfect size for our group of 9!
Been coming to the Akeley area four wheeling for over 20 years and found this VRBO property about 4-5 years ago. Best thing that ever happened to us. Great property that is clean and spacious! It was easy to book through VRBO! Easy access to trails and always good to be back in the evenings to grill and have a few cocktails by the campfire. Will be back next year!
There was a miss communication on when we were gonna be there and none of the beds were made. I got a hold of the owners and they promptly responded and they brought us the bedding and towels we needed. Other than that it was a great place to stay and some great ATV trails in that area. I would stay there again.
Awesome inside space (nice open area with huge dining & two large sectionals), and outside space (firepit, large lawn spaces for games) for large groups. Large kitchen with well stocked with basic essentials plus additional cookware options (griddle, crockpots, electric roasters) & large dining table. Screen porch to have morning coffee was wonderful. Beds were super clean, and great pillows. Sauna was a "bonus". Live edge bar table in bunkhouse was fun for cards & adult beverages laters in evenings so as not to disturb family in main house with the baby. Had six bedrooms, with potential to sleep 13 in a bed. Host communication was fabulous. Thanks for the stay.

Overall, a good place to stay in the area but found lots of dirty sheets shoved in the closet and had to fold a full load of towels that were in the dryer when we got there. Ants were a problem and there was mold in the freezer in the bunk house so we couldn't use it. A storm caused a power outage one night and tried to reach the property manager but did not get any response back. The hunting game in the bunkhouse was a huge hit with the kids and the adults. Quiet location.
After 16 years at a campground in this area I found this property on VRBO 4 years ago and have not been disappointed. It’s a great hangout for being close to the trails and having a great place at the end of the day to grill, have a few drinks and a campfire! I can’t say enough how well we like this property and will continue to rent it every year for the foreseeable future!
We rented this property for a 4 wheeling/UTV trip with friends. There was 7 adults and 3 kids. We were able to bring our dogs as well which worked out great. Property had plenty of room for all our trucks and trailers. Overall it was a greytrip and a great place to come back to and relax with a bonfire at night. Will be renting again.
Perfect place to gather with 7 high school friends for our annual golf outing. Loved all of the separate beds. The fire pit was great for sitting around in the evenings and sharing stories. Great access to both Nevis and Park Rapids.
Everyone enjoyed their stay, quiet area and still not far from town and trails were close by. The refrigerator in smaller cabin was taped shut and freezer was full of mold (very disappointing) but we used the one in the other cabin
A group of us came for the Park Rapids Rodeo. We loved the large private property. The bunk house building was great for playing games. Enjoyed the fire pit each night, plenty of firewood and we had the most perfect weather for fires (no wind). Great set up for a large group/family.
The house and property were great! The only complaint is that the grass was 12 inches high.
Great!
