This large 5 bedroom / 7 bed home is located in Prospect, KY on Belknap Beach. Come experience quite views of the Ohio River, wild life, beautiful sunsets, and boat views from our newly renovated home. The house has 5 bedrooms, two 2 large kitchens, 2 60' decks overlooking the river, a pool table, hot tub, and jacuzzi tub. Stunning sunsets, 8 car parking, and walks along the river are all part of your stay. The house is 20 minutes from downtown Louisville and 30 minutes from the airport.

All 4 seasons are unique and beautiful. During the summers you can enjoy sitting on one of the deck's, cooking dinner, watching the birds & wildlife (even the occasional bald eagle), and enjoying the sunsets. Fall is stunning with it's crystal clear skies, warm days and cool nights. Winter is beautiful with frost on the shore line and bare trees on the 12 mile island. It's serene and quite, except for the fog horns of the river boats on foggy nights which is really special. The Spring is green as can be, with birds returning, and the river coming alive again. Hard to pick the best time as every day out here is different!

A Cold Shower

We rented this property to stay in for a family wedding at Hermitage Farm. On Saturday afternoon as people were getting ready for the ceremony, the hot water ran out after 4 of 8 adults. I contacted Nick and he suggested checking to make sure the hot water was on; it was. Alas, we never heard from him again after several entreaties. Overall the place was a little tired, in need of an upgrade. The owner made a point of instructing that quiet time after 10 pm would be enforced - I guess the dogs next door never got the memo as their barking woke us at 6 am. We wanted to use the grill but it was filthy - we cleaned it but were unable to use it due to smoking grease. If you are renting for a special event like a wedding it's hard to overlook the lack of hot water, it sure put cold water on the celebration!

Few little things…

The house was exactly what our group of family & friends was looking for! The communication with the owner was perfect; fast, informative, & very helpful. The location is beautiful! The driveway had plenty of space. The amenities like the pool table, grill, and hot tub were wonderful options. There were just a few details we wish would have been different. One of the bedrooms with two queen beds did not have a door on it at all. It was just an open doorway that opened up to the living room. Even a $20 Walmart accordion door would have been better than nothing. Made it inconvenient for the 4 adults using that room. In one of the bathrooms, the shower just didn’t have a shower head. Several of the wicker chairs in the dining room were broken with just a piece of wood in the middle of the seat portion; very uncomfortable. The house sleeps 16 people. However, the amount and size of the kitchen pots and pans are for a typical family of 4 or 5. Made it very difficult to cook for 14 people at the same time. In all, we had a great vacation!

Beautiful view

Home is nicely tucked away, riverside in Prospect. Two floors of kitchens, living areas and bedrooms. Bathrooms are a bit dated (small showers, a bathroom with only tub, small toilet space) but overall nice home and spacious!

Mid point Family Get Together.

What a great week we had, family from Michigan and Georgia / South Carolina. House is as nice as described or nicer. We had 14 quests, 2 under 4 hrs old. Many things to do in the area or just stay at the house. Boat owners the local marinas are not too receptive to short slip rentals so try to plan a head, there is community park with free boat launch and park about 12 min by car or 4 miles by boat. West towards Louisville.

Really great!

Our group of 8 stayed for 5-nights in this beautiful home located on the banks of the Ohio River. It is actually better than it looks in the photos! Very nicely decorated. There are 5 bedrooms - 3 with King beds and 2 with 2 queens each. 3 bedrooms have private bathrooms and the 4th bath is shared by 2 bedrooms. The beds were comfortable with mostly newer matresses and high quality linens. Nice clean white bath towels, beach towels, and kitchen towels are provided. Hairdryers supplied in each bathroom. The are 2 full kitchens. Kitchen supplies are decent. Paper products are supplied. There are four nice newer smart TV's (no cable) plus a 100" projector tv screen. We enjoyed watching a movie and there is plenty of seating space. We spent a lot of time enjoying the decks and hot tub. It is apparently under new ownership and they are in the process of updating their listing so some amenities in the listing aren't accurate. We had a small issue with the hot tub but the owner came right over and took care of it. I would highly recommend this rental property.

5 out of 5 STARS!!!

The property was amazing and the owners surpassed our expectations. We were down the for a basketball tournament a few days before we checked in and we asked If there was anyway for an early check in. The owners called and was super accommodating asking what time we would like to check in. Not only did he have the place ready for us at the time we requested. he also went out of his way to recommend places to grab lunch along the way and just places we might like to visit. The home was amazing. A place where you definitely would like to end up after a long day out. This home accommodated easily a family of 3. After hanging out and relaxing we were able to go to our individuals rooms without feeling crowded. 4 bedrooms, 4 bathrooms, 2 levels, 2 kitchens ... what more can you ask for? Well I guess the breathtaking views of the Ohio river was the added bonus. Nature at its best. Would definitely come back if I was in the area. Giving Bruce and Ira 5 stars for their home, checking in on us to make sure everything was ok, and just simply being super accommodating! Thank you!!!

Beyond expectations

The home was beautiful! The minute we walked in the door, we were blown away. The owners were extremely help and accommodating every step of the way. The house is set up to easily host two families traveling together as there are two floors that each have a kitchen, sitting areas, bedrooms, and a deck. The home was beautifully decorated. The tile and hardware in the bathrooms on the lower level reminded me of that which we have seen in fancy resorts. There was not one thing I would change about the home. The outside views were equally breathtaking. There was ample seating outside to experience views of the river throughout the day. My husband and kids enjoyed fishing on the dock. I cannot say enough about this home. Check it out if you are looking for a place near Louisville. You will not be disappointed!
