Cabin C has three queen bedrooms, each with a closet and full length mirror. There are 1.5 bathrooms. The full bathroom has a shower. The kitchen and living room are open and spacious. You can relax on the Adirondack chairs on the porch, or cook s'mores over the fire pit in the common area while playing corn hole! Jim and Cheryl are wonderful, attentive hosts. Recharging on the wine trail
Three couples scheduled a weekend to catch up, and enjoy the wine and chocolate event on the Seneca Lake wine trail. Two of us had stayed here before, and we were pleased, but not surprised, to have the same wonderful experience as last time. The cabin is very clean, has everything you need for cooking, ans is perfect for just relaxing and catching up. Cayuga Lake cabins will always be our first choice when staying in the Finger Lakes.

Clean, fun stay at an architectural marvel!
The hosts thought of everything, even a gift with treats for our dog and us! Jim made sure that we knew that he was available if we needed anything. He is kind and accommodating. The photos do not fully capture the homey feel of this modern and well-made cabin. The kitchen with concrete countertops was stocked with every possible item needed for our Thanksgiving stay. The kitchen and living room form a spacious great room, complete with dining room table, peninsula with comfortable stools, and couches, all overlooking the communal yard and Cayuga lake across the street and down a ravine. Quiet area, wonderful fire pit, picnic table, grill, and corn hole. An easy half bath is just off the great room with three generously sized bedrooms and full bath with shower at the end of the hall. The blackout shades work! Our pet dog enjoyed his stay too! The concrete heated floors kept us warm, were easy to sweep when we dragged in some leaves, and were gorgeous! Definitely visit this region for its abolitionist and women’s rights and equality history, access to beautiful parks, wineries, breweries, and gorgeous finger lakes and hiking. We enjoyed Dickens Christmas in SKANEATELES with personal interactions and entertainment from talented performers in period dress, a taste of roasted chestnuts, and a fun carol singalong. We hiked Taughannock Falls State Park, and learned history at Seneca Falls visitor center for Women’s Rights National Park. And the cabin was home.

Jim and Cheryl are fantastic people. They were there for anything we needed. Cheryl even gave us money and laundry soup on our last day so we could do laundry in town before our next stop. The gift package upon our arrival was an added touch. Would definitely stay here again. Jeffery and Michelle from Michigan

Comfortable stay in great location
We were down for Cornell University commencement. The cabins were located in a great place to explore the wineries and state parks in the area and also make it to Cornell for the early morning. The cabin main area was spacious with lots of room on the kitchen for everyone to be helping with the cooking. The rooms had blackout blinds which was great. Kitchen was well equipped with what we needed for making dinners and breakfasts. The fire pit was a nice area to relax around in the evening with lots of firewood available. Jim checked in on us when we arrived to make sure we had what we needed and was quick to respond when there was an issue with the water which we really appreciated. Perfect spot!

About the host

Hosted by Cheryl Santos

Host profile image
Jim and Cheryl Santos moved to Cayuga Lake in 2002 – Jim is from Pine City, NY and Cheryl is most recently from Hawaii. Jim and Cheryl are naturally drawn to water, so Cayuga Lake was our chosen place. Jim has 3 grown children and retired in 2012. Now our children are of the four-legged variety (we have friendly tail-wagging dogs and we invite you to bring your dogs along on your getaway). We live directly across the street from Cayuga Lake Cabins and are always available if you need anything. We take great pride in providing a clean, comfortable and well-appointed accommodations, and it is important to us that you have a wonderful vacation experience. We want to ensure that you’ll make memories here that will stay with you for a lifetime.

Why they chose this property

We chose Cayuga Lake for its natural beauty, the variety of things to see and do in close proximity, yet also the tranquility of country living. We envisioned building Cayuga Lake Cabins here so we could share this unique area with others, providing a comfortable retreat for our guests.

What makes this property unique

Situated in a sunny field adjoining the woods, Cayuga Lake Cabins is a tranquil retreat consisting of three cabins. Each are very spacious, sleep up to 6 and feature an open floor plan, cathedral ceilings, and private bedrooms. The cabins are impeccably clean and equipped with appliances including cookware, dishes, flatware, etc., bed and bath linens, AC, Radiant floor heat, cable TV & DVD player, movies, books and board games. Cayuga Lake Cabins are centrally located on the Cayuga Wine Trail. Nearby are hiking trails, biking paths, museums, restaurants, wineries, craft breweries a and cheese tasting. The cabin rental costs less per person than many hotels, plus you have your own private space. The radiant floor heating warms the cabin to a cozy temperature on cool nights. It is also air conditioned for your comfort in summer months. You can picnic outside in the summer, cook on the charcoal BBQ grill, and enjoy relaxing on the porch or at the fire pit. Cabins A & B opened in 2015, Cabin C construction completed Summer of 2019.
