"Castle Balcony" is a charming apartment, with lots of color and light, in a perfect symbiosis of art, comfort and modernity. In a vintage setting, stories are told and questions are cast that allow you to relax and dream against the backdrop of a medieval castle. It is a house, cozy and well prepared, thought in multiculturality, so that all who visit us feel unique and happy. We want our guests to feel so good in this house, as if the space were yours. We reformulated it with unique pieces, which we put in each space in a harmonious and challenging way. The "Castle Balcony" has many details and an invitation to relaxation and new experiences. This apartment, which we call the "Balcony of the Castle", is a few meters from the magnificent Silves Castle and all the built heritage, but is also 300 meters from the city center. It is a large bright apartment of 100 m2 divided by two bedrooms, living room, bathroom, kitchen and two terraces. The rooms are equipped with one double bed and the other with two single beds which can be joined together. The living room and dining area, or work area, if that is the case, is very nice and has a fantastic terrace, set against the magnificent Silves Castle, more like a balcony. It is truly a fantastic experience, enjoy this space. There is quality wifi throughout the house and guests can access over 100 TV channels. Our house has a small library ranging from literary works to guides and other informative books about the region and Portuguese culture. The kitchen is equipped with a fridge, cooker, oven, washing machine, dishwasher, microwave, coffee maker, toaster, toaster, electric kettle and all necessary equipment to cook or enjoy a good meal. . We should also emphasize that this apartment is in a building with elevator, garage and private parking. Guest Access Inform guests about the areas of their space to which they will have access. As we do with guests of the other house (Casa do Jardim), we communicate very closely with our guests, helping them with everything they need before and during their stay. Each guest is unique and deserves all our attention and respect. Our experience as a host, which counts for over three years, in addition to being gratified to be recognized as very good, has the biggest prize of all, as we have gained friends in various corners of the world. The apartment "Balcony Castle" is in a residential area, which was born in an old part of the city, where once there were cork factories. For this reason the building where it is located is called the Factory building. We can say that in that area are many of the memories of Silves's recent past, in a city with many cork factories and an associated social, political and economic history. The street designated by R. 1º de Maio lives up to its history and past. On the street there are still many of the homes of former residents, now inhabited by their relatives. On the other hand this apartment has fast and direct access to the city, the pedestrian walks, for those who like to walk or practice another type of exercise. Within a radius of fifty meters there are: cafes, patisserie, supermarket, pharmacy, restaurant / takeaway, laundry, butcher, neighborhood grocery store, auto shop, florist, hairdresser. Getting around Silves, as our guests always say, is in the center of the Algarve, has great access, including direct access to the motorway. However it benefits from the fact that it is a small town, very quiet and safe outside the hustle and bustle centers. Silves is about 50 meters from Faro Airport, where guests can travel and access a car hire, taxi or transfer. Hosts are available for transfers to the train station (2 km), or to hire a taxi or trnsfer. Lisbon is about 280km away and is 2h 30m by car or train and 3h 30m by bus. From and to Silves can be reached by bus or by train. Silves is a small town where distances are short and can be made on foot, however the fact that there is a garage and private parking in the building does not cause any hindrance if our guests use their car. Our home has internet access throughout the space, as it is fiber optic is very fast. The hot water connection, the connection switches of the various machines are properly marked and in the Guest Information book. In addition, we welcome guests and provide all explanations, as we usually do in our other house - Casa do Jardim. What we ask our guests is to treat our house as their own and yet to respect the (normal) building rules we make available in the house. What we consider most relevant is the compliance with the noise schedule, the period between 22h and 8h should be respected.
