In 2002, I left Greenville, South Carolina and moved to St. Petersburg, Florida where I had been visiting a friend for several years. In 2005, I took a great job in Venice, FL and found this precious villa in Sarasota. I worked in commercial real estate for several years, then started a construction company during the 2008 recession. Over the Christmas holiday in 2007, I took a trolley to see Christmas lights with friends, and later that evening I met my, soon to be, Yankee husband, at the Gator Club in Downtown Sarasota. In 2010, we were married in Mary's Chapel at Historic Spanish Point Plantation.
During 2012, my Yankee husband Joe and I moved to Travelers Rest, South Carolina where we now live on 20 acres raising dogs, cats, chickens, and goats. We love our Sarasota home and friends, and we hope you will enjoy the town, the sights, the people, and Gulf Gate as much as we do!
