River House
The location was terrific and it's quite everything that we needed. Wonderful yard for a puppy. The deck was wonderful to have coffee on in the morning.

A slice of Heaven! 9/31/2024 till 9/3/2024
We came to remake a first date hike that we had done 9/2/1977 and we did that hike on 9/1/2024. The River House had such comfortable furniture for our tired bones and lots of hot shower water!! We enjoyed the lovely art, books, and there was everything needed to cook. We were able to bring our dog Emma and she loved the yard smells as they were so different from South Carolina. We wished we had booked to stay longer and would love to come back again.

Perfect fall foliage getaway
We (two adults and a dog) had a wonderful week at the River House! The house feels cozy and spacious at the same time, and the owners’ large collections of books, art and pottery give it a lot of character. The kitchen has all the appliances you could ever need. The heaters in the living room and bedroom provided plenty of warmth. The views from the decks are amazing. And the location couldn’t have been better - secluded, yet only a few minutes by car to a great grocery store in Franconia and 20-30 minutes away from lots of amazing hikes. We would definitely return to the River House!

Perfect small family getaway!
This was our first family vacation with our one year old and our dog, and we couldn’t be happier. The open layout was perfect for spending hours together over meal prep and games and conversation. The back yard was wonderful, great view, and we used the grill every day. Secluded, but close drive to many adventures. 10/10 would recommend.

We had a great time here. The home is cozy, off the beaten path and has a well stocked kitchen. The view of the mountains is amazing. We would stay here again.

The River House
Quaint, rustic home in the woods. Perfect for a couple or small family. Very clean and in a convenient location.
We chose the River House for a fall weekend getaway based on the online description and were not disappointed. The house and property is lovely. The location very private, which is exactly what we were looking for, but so close to town and attractions.
We found the house to be very clean and well equipped.
Our greyhound had a great time exploring the property, and running up and down the very long driveway.

Wonderful autumn visit
We spent a week here enjoying the autumn colors of New Hampshire hiking with our dog. As a dog owner I appreciated the little extras you left for her care.
The property was well maintained and the plantings beautiful. It was so nice to sit on the patio and enjoy my coffee. Will definitely stay again the next time we visit New Hampshire.

Lovely stay!
Beautiful quaint cottage! We had a great stay here and felt right at home. Gorgeous gardens and right on a river branch. Only suggestion I would make is the bedroom mattress is a little uncomfortable and maybe needs update? Otherwise PERFECT! Thank you again!

Awesome
We had a great time a the cottage, we loved the seclusion from the road this was perfect for the dog. The open concept was great for gathering after a day of snowshoeing in the field and skiing at cannon Mtn. All of the amenities were great. The only suggestion for change would be better internet and shoveling of the walkway and deck when plowed.

River House Winter 2015-16
The property is beautiful and in a great location--literally within a 3 mile line of sight to Cannon Mountain. The unit is definitely priced right but does have some issues as it is aging and in need of some upgrading to really be suitable for lengthy winter stays. A really cold winter (which we did not have) could be rough, but during the warmer periods, it is hard to beat.

The River House
The house was very nice, and the kitchen remarkably well equipped. It would be good if the wi-fi password was in the printed material that accompanied the key.
