perfect get away

The property is amazing, so peaceful and serene. House was well stocked and very cleaned, smelled like fresh laundry when we arrived. I love that it is located on the lake, beautiful views. Highly recommend. Plenty of living space, equipped with games for all ages. Best weekend ever.

Great location and property

We had a great time, owner was very attentive, and the house is very well equipped. When it rained we played foosball inside and when it stopped raining we had lots of fun kayaking, paddle boarding and exploring the "jungle" and the island next to the property (there are 4 life vests, 2 of them for kids), My kids loved the 3 friendly ducks that came to visit them everyday :) we will come back!

Relaxing stay

From the very beginning communication with the owner Derek was outstanding. He answered every question within minutes. The location is wonderful with an abundance of outdoor areas for lounging and nature watching. We really enjoyed our stay here.

Amazing place!

I spent the weekend with my family (all adults) and we had a blast! We went out on the kayaks, watched movies at night, read in hammocks, played cornhole, had the kitchen to prepare meals. The house is great and clean and not too far from DFW. Highly recommend!

Family Getaway

Our family had a great time at our stay on the lake! We hung out in the hammocks during the day and caught catfish all night off the bank (beware of the water snakes that come out after dark, they are very curious of fishermen) One of the neighbors across the bay put on a professional firework show! The water was to shallow to beach our bass boat on the bank but the neighborhood private boat ramp was 4 houses down with easy access. Sandbass and crappie hang out at the bridge that is only a short boat ride. Bass and catfish are in the bay in abundance. The beds were comfy and the cabin is very comfortable, we had all we needed. Do be careful of the next door neighbor, the wall and little dock on the water are hers, and she will let you know about it. If you are looking for a great getaway close to Dallas but away in the country this is it!

Great place to stay!

This is such a relaxing place to stay. Big trees and cool breeze off the water made swinging in the hammocks a delight. I appreciated that the house was well stocked with essentials. Would love to go back!

Great Comfy Place to stay on the Lake!

We enjoyed staying at this property very much! Exceeded our expectations. Kayaked a bunch, made s’mores at night, enjoyed the Hammocks too. Def would recommend staying here!

We enjoyed our stay with our kids and grandkids

The lake cabin met our needs just fine. There are plenty of outside games, kayaks to use, stand up paddle board. Hammocks to lounge in etc. Because water level was low, we couldn’t get the bass boat beached on the property. We launched the boat up the road every time we wanted to go out. But as I said nice cabin very rustic and morning and evening views are great.

July 4th weekend

Beautiful spot on the lake to take in nature at your own pace! The kids especially enjoyed soaking in the clawfoot tub after a day of being on the lake.

Peaceful relaxing rustic cabin.

Derek was very communicative and added special touches that were noticed! Property was at the end of cove and we had a good time just enjoying the cabin and games he provided. Comfortable and quaint with lots of outdoor areas to enjoy.

Why they chose this property

We live smack in the middle of Dallas. I rarely feel as relaxed as when I get to swing in the hammock and listen to the water / nature. Sweet relief!

The yard is so big and great for a family to hang out and play games etc. Drop your boat in or have a good time fishing in the backyard, your call!
